Nothing seems to stop the avalanche of Evangelical bigot "pastors" with their flashy megachurches built by bilking their idiot faithfuls of their savings. They seem to all have the same hobby as the Catholic church priests: Sex. Maybe religion does this to its "leaders" just as politics does to those who reach power, but politicians get judged at the ballot box in a democracy while religion is no democracy. Religion is an ideology built on bullshit, on magic, on voodoo crap that no reasonable person would countenance outside of a cult culture. But religion demands faith, and faith is the opposite of reason. When you ask your followers to have faith, you are asking them to suspend their reason and believe any crap you want to shove down their brains.
And this string of scandals within the evangelical herds of America seem concentrated, at least for now, in Texas, one of the most backward states of the country.
The lead pastor of the Texas megachurch, Cross Timbers Church, and Trump adorer Josiah Anthony has been forced to resign. Why? When he "communicates" with women, he can't help having sex on his mind, down his pants and between their legs. In pure doublespeak typical of religious hypocrites, the Texas megachurch elders said that "Pastor Josiah" was forced to step down because of "excessively personal" and sometimes "sexual" communications with women. I wish they'd define these terms better for their ignorant illiterate followers. But, just like the Catholic Church, the evangelical megachurch declined to give details, saying only that he behaved in "inappropriate and hurtful" ways to members of the Cross Timbers family and staff.
When pressed, the megachurch enteprise sent an email to its faithful in which the elders (like the Cardinals of the Vatican) clarified that pastor Josiah stepped down because of "a concerning pattern of behavior communicating inappropriately with women", which was sometimes "sexual in nature." Oh, ok. Just "sometimes"? Oh the poor Josiah.

The bigoted elders, like the fine Jesuit priests of the Catholic cult, went on to say, "We should have communicated more clearly and directly with you ... Our lack of clarity led to a lot of assumptions about the situation, and in trying not to cause unnecessary harm, we inadvertently did." Oh, the poor souls. Assumptions? "Unnecessary"? Inadvertently"? I thought God, the Big Zombie in the Sky, the Creator of all things, the ocean-splitting superhero of the filthy Bronze Age nomadic Hebrews, spoke through them? How can HE make assumptions and inadvertently misspeak? God must not have switched the light of honesty in their empty skulls until it was too late. But, as good Christians (of the good brand, of course), they are repenting and asking for forgiveness. Case closed.
Josiah's adventures below the belt are the latest in an avalanche of sudden resignations by pro-Trump protestant church leaders in the Holy Christian state of Texas. There is Dallas pastor Robert Morris who stepped down after a woman accused him of molesting her when she was 12 years old. Then a pastor at Stonbriar Community Church in nearby Frisco also resigned after 17 years due to an unspecified "moral failure," while a former pastor at the North Dallas Community Bible Fellowship in Plano was indicted for attempting to pay for sex. Now, this is most likely the tip of the hidden iceberg. God only knows the real numbers of these Christian sexual predators who share in common, besides their God-given libidos, a love for the other sexual wonderboy Donald Dumb. They continue coming out of the closet, just like the worldwide Catholic child-bugger priests avalanche that has yet to dry up.
At Cross Timbers, a female former church member reported "inappropriate communication" by Josiah. Upon investigation, another former church worker revealed "excessively personal and overly familiar" communication with Josiah. I marvel at the finely-tuned language. The megachurch continued to deny any seriousness to the reports, emphasizing that no children were involved, nor were there any physical or sexual interactions or any illegal activity. Very confusing, indeed. If none of these things occurred, why was Josiah asked to resign?
But, as is often the case when pressure mounts and the language is vague, after the resignation, the venerable elders discovered other messages that were indeed sexual in nature. Then to add insult to injury, church elders blamed poor Josiah's behavior on his mental health struggles, which is something that Democrats usually do, not hardcore Republican neanderthal "real men" Texans who never have mental health problems.
And now the "coup de grace", the absolute beggaring move to remain a non-profit corporation that will continue bilking the church faithful out of their savings, the church elders announced, "That behavior will not be tolerated in our church. It should not be tolerated at any church or in any ministry". Please continue mailing your pathetic checks from your savings account and social security welfare programs; we need to build an air-conditioned kennel for the replacement pastor.
Weren't the lying, hypocrisy, and cheap mercantilism of the Catholic Church that drove Martin Luther to rebel against the Catholic Church and create the protestant movement? 600 years later, we find out that neither the Catholic Church has learned anything from the reformist schism, nor did the schismatic protestants live by the values that opposed them to the Catholic Church in the first place. Therefore, a reasonable person would conclude that religion - all religions - are a bunch of crappy voodoo beliefs that have no impact whatsoever on human nature. And like Seneca (born in 4 BC, just before Jesus) said "religion is regarded by the common people as true, by the wise as false, and by the rulers as useful."
I ask my fellow Americans to decide which they want to be: The imbecile common people? The flithy greedy rulers? Or the sage and wise ones?
