Adidas Congratulated for Bella Hadid Ad Selling Retro Olympics Sneakers

Shoemaker Adidas is receiving praise from the Palestine Worldwide Peace Group (PWPG) for choosing Bella Hadid as the face of a campaign to market a retro Summer Olympic Games sneaker. The ad campaign coincides with the upcoming Paris Olympic Games.
Hadid — whose father, Mohamed Hadid, is a Palestinian immigrant — and her sister Gigi Hadid, both of whom are superb representatives of Arab beauty, has been praised worldwide for her pro-Palestine campaign to support peace and relief efforts for Palestinians in Gaza who are subjected to a full-fledged genocide by the Israeli Death Forces (IDF).
“In promotion of its products for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, the choice by Adidas to pick a vocal pro-Palestine model is a call for peace and recognition of the tragedy of the Palestinian people ever since European colonial Zionist settlers perpetrated one of the most egregious ethnic cleansing of the 20th century by murdering and displacing millions of indigenous Palestinians to replace them by illegal white migrants and create a European Socialist Jewish colony in historic Palestine. We applaud Adidas for taking this forward-looking courageous step aiming at bringing some healing to the suffering Palestinian people. Billions of sports fans and supporters of Palestine around the Arab and Muslim world will not forget Adidas for their gesture,” the PWPG said in a statement on Thursday.
