Trump's Mourning of MAGA Extremist Kirk's Demise: Look at my New Ballroom

On the death of his dear friend Charles Kirk, Trump finds solace, not in the arms of distant and aloof Melania, but in his new ballroom at the White House. Hollywood should make one of its pathetically stupid movies on this fascinating Americana story, with flags, tear jerkers and all.

Trump Goes On Stunningly Off-Topic Tangent When Asked About Charlie Kirk Assassination

Donald Trump had a bizarre response Friday morning to a reporter’s question about the death of Charlie Kirk.

The far-right activist was fatally shot on Wednesday while speaking at Utah Valley University, and numerous media accounts have claimed that Trump was close to Kirk and taking his death hard.

But it didn’t really sound that way on Friday when a reporter asked the president how he was holding up — and he responded by promoting his newest obsession: the White House ballroom.

“I think very good,” Trump answered. “And by the way, right there, you see all the trucks? They’ve just started construction of the new ballroom for the White House, which is something they’ve been trying to get, as you know, for about 150 years.”

“And it’s gonna be a beauty,” he continued. “Absolutely magnificent construction. ... We just started, so it’ll get done very nicely. And it will be one of the best anywhere in the world, actually.”

Of course, many people had thoughts about the president’s response.

He’s clearly heartbroken

Seems like Trump’s finished mourning. Nothing eases grief like a new ballroom.

Every day he proves more and more just how much he doesn’t care about anybody or anything other than himself 😭

Trump cares more about his ballroom than the death of his friend. Narcissistic behavior

In moments of national mourning, especially following politically motivated violence, the expectation is reflection, unity, and a reaffirmation of democratic values. Instead, we got architectural enthusiasm.
