Forget about China ripping us up. Forget about China's stealing technology through its students in our universities. Forget that China is our main economic rival.
Where has it all gone suddenly?
The deranged unsynapsed brain of the idiot in the oval office has suddenly shelved those risks in the huge bathroom stall comprising his brain, like he did with classified documents at Mar-a-Lago.
Out of nowhere, and while the South Korean President was visiting, Trump launches into a chummy rant about China. Perhaps in his ignorant racist mind, "these Asians" all look the same, and he felt that talking about China was kinda like talking to South Korea.
Naturally, after years and years of xenophobia fed into the skulls of his backward followers, Trump’s latest comments about welcoming hundreds of thousands of Chinese students into United States universities - which he has been undermining by cutting research funds and on which he is imposing a monolithic right-wing zionist ideology - is drawing criticism from the MAGA herd of lobotomized sheep.
The man is ill. There is no doubt about it. At the White House on Monday, Trump told reporters that he plans to allow 600,000 Chinese students into the country — a figure more than double the number in the United States now. Suddenly, he declares that “We’re going to get along good with China. I hear so many stories about ‘We’re not going to allow their students’” to come in, Trump said. “We’re going to allow, it’s very important, 600,000 students. It’s very important.”
It’s a sharp departure from what his imbecile dog-eared Secretary of State Marco Rubio said back in May, namely that the US would “aggressively revoke” visas for Chinese students and add more scrutiny to all future visa applications from China.
Is it deliberate ambiguity or simple chaos unleashed from the brain of an old and sick man whose brain cannot control his mouth?
MAGA butch Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., railed, “Why are we allowing 600,000 students from China to replace our American student’s opportunities?” Extremist MAGA and failed Republican congressional candidate Laura Loomer decaalred that the Chinese students are “Communist spies.”
In a couple of days, there will be explanations from the Bimb-in-Chief Karoline Leavitt, declaring that Trump knows exactly what he is saying and that his far-reaching visionary prophecies are part of his "America First" policy. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick went further in suggesting that Trump's move was an economic one. The genius of it is that Trump will be stealing the top and smarter students from China, which would strike two birds with one stone: Deplete the brain reservoir of China and fill up the American one. There were an estimated 277,398 Chinese international students studying in the United States during the 2023-24 school year. Together with students from India, the group makes up more than half of the international students in the country. In 2023 alone, Chinese students contributed upward of $14 billion to the American economy.
But Republican lawmakers have long attempted to stem the flow of Chinese students into the United States, just as they have historically donw over more than a century with the so-called "Chinese Exclusion Act". In March, Republican congressmen introduced the Stop CCP VISAs Act, which would halt the issuance of student visas to Chinese nationals looking to study at American universities or take part in exchange programs. The bill drew widespread backlash from activists, schools and others, including Chinese students, who called the legislation the “new Chinese Exclusion Act.”
Trump’s latest comments on students come as tensions between the United States and China have eased slightly from earlier this year. Trump backed down repeatedly on imposing tariffs on China, with the latest cooling off of a 90-day trade truce through November.
