Just like his Russian, Chinese, and North Korean buddy dictators, the Moron-in-Chief is laying the groundwork, or at least doing a dry run, for a military takeover of the country by which he will declare the "need" for himself to remain indefinitely in power.
As of now, Washington DC has been militarized. Today Trump said he will declare a national emergency to keep the troops he already deployed in Washington beyond the initial 30 days of their deployment. He has After DC, Chicago is next, followed by other large cities in "blue" states.
This scenario is being tested as a prelude to declaring the same national emergency to control the 2026 legislative elections campaign and voting process. This, in his mind, will ensure MAGA retains control of a subservient Congress. He already has implemented a gerrymandering re-districting decision in Texas thanks to the MAGA-controlled state legislature to completely sway the 2026 elections into his favor, a step to be followed by other MAGA-controlled state legislatures.
Beyond the 2026 elections, there is no reason to doubt that the Orangutan wannabe dictator might want proceed similarly in view of the 2028 presidential elections. By accustoming the American people with emergency conditions in their lives, he would have achieved the official status of a dictator. Look around the world and you'll find that dictators, despots, military juntas and such always pretend that a national emergency exists in the country to maintain their militaries in the streets, control the press and the media, establish special courts, repress dissenters (e.g. Bolton and many many others) and essentially subvert the entire spectrum of what makes a democracy work.
Ladies and gentlemen, you are witnessing the birth of the first military dictatorship in the United States of America 250 years after the birth of the country. By constantly flooding the zone with distractions - Epstein, fake peacemaking, on-and-off tariffs, etc. - Donald Dump is making sure that the American people become inured to "abnormal" policies and departures from norms and laws evolved over the past 250 years.
Like in all other autocracies and dictatorships, the rapist uses the mechanics of democracy to make it to power, albeit with lies and distortions aiming at swaying the opinion of large chunks of otherwise ignorant voters, along with putting in place mechanisms to prevent opponents from participating in elections. Elections remain their top priorities: either they win or if their opponent wins, they declare the results fraudulent.

The baldest and most provocative presentation of Trump's demand to date appeared on his campaign website, Save America, on Oct. 13: "If we don't solve the Presidential Election Fraud of 2020 (which we have thoroughly and conclusively documented), Republicans will not be voting in '22 or '24. It is the single most important thing for Republicans to do." That statement from the former president suggests his party's leaders must match their priorities to his or face a mass defection by party loyalists — whom he plainly regards as Trump loyalists first.
Two things are working against his plans:
- His age and mental and physical deterioration. He won't be getting better or younger by 2026 or 2028 or beyond. But dictators have been known to cling to power well into their nineties, assuming they are still alive. I already imagine a hunched over bald Dear Leader, Big Brother Donald Dump suffering from diabetes and other ailments, driveling like a broken record, swollen feet, age spots all over, being wheelchaired by his faithful bimbo blonde idiot Leavitt to deliver his State of the Union speech in 2039 when he'll be 93.
- A semblance of serious opposition is building. While the American people are worrying about tumbling house prices, groceries, inflation, jobs, and the imminent shock repercussions of the demented asshole's tariffs, voices are growing louder about standing up to this rape of American democracy. California and other states are fighting back by doing their own gerrymandering sleights of hand. If the opposition manages to at least secure one chamber in Congress in 2026, it will have some sway into events leading to 2028.
Previous neanderhal white conservatives have tried before but never to the same extent as Donald Trump who is now pushing the rape of democracy one step further than any other white conservative politician before him. Examples include John Adams who waged war on the national press of the early republic; in the 1910s, Woodrow Wilson modernized, popularized, and nationalized Jim Crow laws; in the 1970s, Richard Nixon committed criminal acts that flowed from his corrupt ideas about presidential power, a precursor to Trump;
As presidential historian Jon Meacham told NBC News in May 2018, Sen. Joe McCarthy "was never president" or nearly as powerful a figure as Trump, but McCarthyism is "the clearest analogy we have" to what Trump is already doing: dragging dissenters and opponents to courts, raiding their homes and planting fake evidence against them, subpoenaing them to appear before Congressional "hanging panel" hearings....
There is still time to counter the rape of American democracy. A surge of conscience must arise first and foremost from within the ranks of the conservative lump of MAGA vassals. Many of these, unfortunately, have signed in blood: They understand Trump's ultimate objectives and support them, namely to keep America a White Supremacist Christian republic that feigns to be a democracy, in a perfectly identical, albeit oxymoronic, notion of the "democracy-for-Jews-only" that war criminal Benjamin Netanyahu wants Israel to be. Trump and his predecessor rapists of American democracy are nativist xenophobic morons who want the United States to be a "democracy-for-white-assholes-only". But time, demographics, and evolution are against them
