The 92-year old US Senator Chuck Grassley, from the backward peasant state of Iowa, consistently defended Trump throughout his years of cheating, sedition, racism, and chaos. He never voted to impeach the convicted criminal felon who lies as he breathes. Chuck Grassley voted against the impeachment of Donald Trump during both of his impeachment trials. In the second trial, he was one of the 43 Republican senators who voted to acquit Trump of inciting insurrection.
But now, Grassley is realizing that defending a monster will inevitably turn that monster against him. "Beware the evil of those to whom you've been charitable", says an Arabic proverb. Too late, Chuck! You have sold your soul and integrity to a devil-in-the-flesh. As you near your demise, you will be taking with you the stain of having enabled the destruction of the America we know. Hope your senate seat is replaced by a more enlightened and less backward old geezer than you.=======================================================
Under pressure from Trump, livid Republican leader fires back

Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), left, responded to mounting pressure from President Donald Trump, right, on Monday.
Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) fired back at pressure from President Donald Trump in a series of posts on social media on Monday.
Grassley shielded himself from criticism on X after Trump slammed the senator’s defense of the century-old “blue slip” practice, which allows home-state senators to approve or reject district court and U.S. attorney nominees.
Trump, who has been demanding Grassley for weeks to abandon the tradition, on Sunday had blasted the custom, framing it as an affront to his appointment power. He also claimed that his constitutional authority has been “completely taken away from me in States that have just one Democrat United States Senator.”
“This is because of an old and outdated ‘custom’ known as a BLUE SLIP, that Senator Chuck Grassley, of the Great State of Iowa, refuses to overturn, even though the Democrats, including Crooked Joe Biden (Twice!), have done so on numerous occasions. Therefore, the only candidates that I can get confirmed for these most important positions are, believe it or not, Democrats!” Trump wrote about the Senate’s president pro tempore on his Truth Social platform.
“Chuck Grassley should allow strong Republican candidates to ascend to these very vital and powerful roles, and tell the Democrats, as they often tell us, to go to HELL!” he continued.
Grassley, the chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee, responded to Trump’s claims in several posts, suggesting that he isn’t budging on his belief.
“A U.S. Atty/district judge nominee without a blue slip does not [have] the votes to get confirmed on the Senate floor & they don’t [have] the votes to get out of [committee],” Grassley first wrote, adding “As chairman I set Pres Trump noms up for SUCCESS NOT FAILURE.”

In a separate post, Grassley added: “The 100 yr old ‘blue slip’ allows home state senators 2 [have] input on US attys & district court judges. In Biden admin Republicans kept 30 LIBERALS OFF BENCH THAT PRES TRUMP CAN NOW FILL W CONSERVATIVES.”
The exchange comes as a federal judge ruled last week that Alina Habba, the president’s pick to serve as New Jersey’s U.S. Attorney, has been unlawfully serving in the position. The court found that Habba’s appointment violated federal law governing temporary appointments to Senate-confirmed positions, with Sens. Cory Booker and Andy Kim opposing her nomination to a full term.
U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi said the Justice Department will “immediately appeal” the ruling. Habba herself also sharply criticized the decision, arguing on Fox News that “We will not fall to rogue judges.”
“I am the pick of the president. I am the pick of Pam Bondi, our attorney general. And I will serve this country like I have for the last several years in any capacity,” Habba said during an appearance on “Hannity.”
“And frankly, same with Sen. Grassley by holding up a traditional blue slip, not a law, and not allowing a lot of the president’s picks to go through and be voted on by Senate. I didn’t even get to that point,” she added.
We will immediately appeal. @USAttyHabba is doing incredible work in New Jersey — and we will protect her position from activist judicial attacks.https://t.co/BSBlYPcGy6

In another post, Grassley referenced that Habba was withdrawn as Trump’s nominee on July 24, noting that the committee “never received any of the paperwork needed for the Senate to vet her nomination.”
