The imbecile should know that they respect the office, not the man.
Like any dictator nut (I am thinking Idi Amin, Kim Jong-Un, Mouamar Qaddafi....) who is dangerously full of himself, visitors will lavish praise on the nutcase criminal when facing him in public, but behind his back they hysterically laugh at him.
President Donald Dump has bragged about how much “respect” other world leaders have for him. My own aging and senile father was obsessed with "being respected", hence his reaction once when I told him that I had been in China on a business trip: "How did 'they' receive you? Were they respectful?". He was always big on "respect", once starting a fight in a restaurant because people who walked in and were sat at a table literally 20 seconds behind us were served water before us.
Think of senility and dementia when an old man begins worrying about "respect".
So, California's governor, Gavin Newsom, yesterday reminded all of us how much foreign leaders, even the sycophantic tariff-terrorized among them, really think of Donald Dump.
“I’ve had the privilege of meeting a lot of foreign leaders,” Newsom said at a Politico event in California on Wednesday. “They’re laughing behind his back.” These comments are based on “dozens and dozens” of encounters with foreign leaders and officials. “They’re laughing behind his back,” Newsom said. “He’s being played everywhere. It’s an embarrassment.”
My own experience in conversations with people from around the world - not political leaders, but ordinary people - confirms Newsom's comment. With Donald Dump, people tell me now that they finally understand what the "dumb and ugly American" adage means: Don't look it up, just look at Donald Dumb and you'll understand.
Newsom’s comments call to mind footage from Trump’s first term in office that many believe show world leaders snarking behind his back at a reception in Buckingham Palace.
World leaders also openly laughed at Trump at the 2018 United Nations General Assembly as the president bragged about his supposed accomplishments. His closest associates who were whirling around - in and out - the White House door ALL spoke of a "moron".
Well, the moron lies spleepless at night in his deserted bed - I don't blame dumb Melania who obviously married him for his money - and rages against those who disagree with him and calls them, guess what? .... Disrespectful!
President Donald Trump spent the early-morning hours digging up year-old dirt on his newest political enemy and bashing him on social media. Wes Moore of Maryland has become the latest Democratic governor to take on Trump over his partisan gerrymandering and threats to deploy National Guard troops to blue states, inviting the president last week to walk the streets of Baltimore with him.
Trump responded over the weekend with a social media rant in which he threatened to pull federal funding from Baltimore, leading the governor to mock the president’s physical ability and lack of military service.
Just after 2 a.m. Washington time on Thursday, Trump posted a year-old article from The Hill about Moore and declared that he "was very disrespectful!” Trump complained in a Truth Social post.
Trump has already been swapping insults over the past few weeks with two other Democratic governors, Gavin Newsom of California and JB Pritzker of Illinois.
During his war of words with Trump this week, Moore called out the president for avoiding military service during the Vietnam War. A Queens doctor who was a Trump family friend diagnosed him with bone spurs to help him get a medical exemption.
“President Bone Spurs will do anything to get out of walking—even if that means spouting off more lies about the progress we’re making on public safety in Maryland,” he wrote on social media. “Hey Donald, we can get you a golf cart if that makes things easier. Just let my team know.”
