Back when Islamic Jihadism was being born in Afghanistan in the late 1970s, the US funded and supplied the Islamic Taliban Jihadists with all the weapons they needed to combat the Communist Marxist Soviet invaders. In their dumbness, the Americans were the only ones on the planet to believe that they could be friends with the Taliban, even if for the sole objective of fighting the Soviet Union. But as we know by now, the Jihadist Mujahideen Taliban turned their hatred against the Americans who fell in the trap. Americans invent enemies to stay alive. Without enemies, the US would be a very boring place, a desert of intellect and culture, and only high testosterone and sizzling anger at manufactured and hypothetical enemies keep the US going.
By now, you'd have to consult Dr. Moreau on his island and see whether he can stitch together a "Marxist Jihadist" or a "Communist Jihadist" for you. But the scintillating illiterate imbeciles of the American Conservative Republican cabal think they can put the two together: Communism and Islamic Jihadism.
Having nothing else to throw at Zohran Mamdani, the GOP-MAGA idiots have invented a new political movement, "Marxist Islamism" or "Marxist Jihadism" or "Communist Jihadism" or "Islamic Marxism"....It's one big salad of terms that very few Americans understand, let alone the backwoods morons that are the backbone of the Republican-Trumpian-MAGA movement. All they know, from decades of brainwashing, is that if "Jihadist" is bad, and if "Marxist" is bad, then the two together would be "badder" than anything the history of the world has ever seen until Trump dawned on humanity.
Remember when "Communist Vietnam" was the enemy for which 50,000 US soldiers and 4 million Vietnamese died? Guess who runs Vietnam today as a "friend" of the US? The same Communist regime. But stuck in the dense brains of the deplorable Americans is the notion that "Communist" is bad. It's as if, and pardon the example, Americans have been stabbed with an "Anti-Communist" vaccine, and so now they have not only developed immunity against the word "communist" but Voodoo Shaman RFK Jr has scientifically proven that the anti-communist vaccine is the cause of the disease known as AGDU, for American Generic Dumbness and Ugliness.
In any case, they seem more comfortable with a former Democrat, a corrupt, criminal sex abuser like Cuomo. You see, they have gotten pleasantly familiar with the Italian Mafia after Hollywood made the Mafia a venerable institution of criminal America and elevated to the rank of heroes all the Italian mafia criminals. So corrupt Cuomo has become dear music to their ears, while Mamdani is now the new and improved Marxist Jihadist enemy.
I am encouraged by the fact that the dumb idiot from Texas, Ted Cruz, has joined the anti-Mamdani chorus. In his stupidity as a Texan, Cruz legitimizes the prevalent opinion about GOP-MAGA that it is a cult of ignoramuses who throw garbage at people because they can't speak proper English.

After claiming he's better looking than Mamdani in his 60 Minutes interview (no, I'm not kidding), Trump endorsed Cuomo, who is polling 14 points behind frontrunner Mamdani, according to a RealClearPolitics poll average.

Yesterday, Elon Musk joined the wave of conservatives issuing last-minute endorsements of the former governor, who resigned in disgrace in 2021, following sexual assault and harassment allegations from 11 women.

Mamdani responded to both Trump's and Musk's endorsements of Cuomo, who has tried to distance himself from Trump throughout the campaign. "Another big endorsement for @andrewcuomo. And it only cost $959 million in tax breaks," he wrote after Musk's endorsement.

The clock is ticking on this mayoral race, but that hasn't stopped one more conservative endorsement for Cuomo to roll in.
Last night, Texas Senator Ted Cruz tweeted: "This seems like an easy one, New York City," alongside an edited photo of a ballot with two options.

The first option, seemingly referring to Cuomo, reads: "A Democrat. Just a Democrat." The second option, which presumably refers to Mamdani, reads: "An actual communist jihadist. A literal Karl Marx-quoting, America-hating jihadist."
It's clear that this is an attempt by Cruz to dissuade support for Mamdani, but many people are confused about what it actually means. So, let's break down what Cruz may have been insinuating with the "communist jihadist" label.

Despite many, many conservatives attempting to label Mamdani as a communist, he has been clear about his political identity as a democratic socialist. He spelled it out clearly on NBC News when asked if he is a communist: "No, I am not."

The Democratic Socialists of America describe their ideology simply on their website: They want to decrease the influence of money in politics, empower ordinary people in the workplace, and create structures that encourage gender and cultural equity. "We call this vision democratic socialism — a vision of a more free, democratic and humane society," the website reads.

Still, that has not stopped people, like Trump, from continuing to call Mamdani a communist.

That "jihadist" label has been used against Mamdani several times, too. The 34-year-old is Muslim. The term "jihadist" is regularly misused by politicians and Western media, according to the BBC. Jihad traditionally refers to a spiritual struggle within Islam, but the term "jihadist" has been used by Western academics to distinguish between violent and non-violent Sunni Islamists. Many, however, conflate violent “jihadists" with the religion of Islam and Muslim identity more broadly, despite the vast majority of Muslims rejecting such interpretations.

These anti-Muslim attacks against Mamdani have been a constant throughout his campaign, echoed by both of his competitors. During a radio interview, Cuomo seemed to suggest that Mamdani would be happy about another 9/11 happening. Sliwa called Mamdani a "global jihad" during the final debate.

Now, Cruz is using these same terms — "communist" and "jihadist" — to echo what other Mamdani adversaries have been saying throughout the campaign. However, people on social media have been quick to criticize Cruz's Twitter endorsement. One tweet reads: "I disagree w/ much of what Mamdani says & espouses. But the level of racist & slanderous vitriol directed at him is a sign of how deep the political rot runs."

Others are poking fun at this bizarre, last-minute attempt to sway voters: "Completely unnecessary to call Curtis Sliwa a communist jihadist just because he wears a red beret."
