The American Jackass-in-Chief, whose approval is at the lowest ever because he lied to his herd of morons that he will lower grocery prices that have risen steeply since the he ascended on the American throne, has also phoned Walmart's CEO and asked him to artificially lower its prices (thus forcing Walmart to "eat its losses") so that the herd of obese white trash MAGA morons can buy their junk food and express their gratitude to the Dear Leader for rescuing them from his own incompetence.
This is how Dear Leaders, Dictators, Big Brothers and assorted Top-rank criminals run their countries. Donald Dumb first runs the economy to the ground, building himself palaces, ballrooms, triumphal arcs and such, pardons all convicted criminal felons like him because "he feels their pain", pays off his very rich criminal buddies with tax cuts, wages losing wars with taxpayers money and but without a brain, and hold lavish parties while his people go hungry. Backroom deals in poorly-lit chambers with other cigar-smoking corrupt criminal tycoons and moguls: Do me a favor, will ya? Lower prices. Violate those goddam rules. Let the people think I care for them. And it gets done, because if it doesn't, the Jackass-in-Chief's revenge won't be late coming.
And what is really absurdly funny on how a dimwit like Trump operates, he blamed the Democrats before he was elected and he still blames them after they've been out of power for two years. He takes no responsibility for his own incompetence. His failed war against Iran and his tariffs have caused prices to soar and inflation to rise (from 3% he inherited from Biden to 4.5% now under him), yet somehow Joe Biden is still responsible. Joe Biden could be in his coffin on his way out of this world and Donald Dumb will still blame him for all the damage he himself, i.e. Donald Dumb, wrought onto the country.
Under a Mafia-style autocrat, this is how things work. Not by laws and regulations. But by personal charm and gentle threat-backed nudges.
