DAVIS, W.Va. (WBOY) — A man has been charged after allegedly claiming to be Jesus Christ and sexually assaulting a victim in Tucker County.

On Nov. 15, 2024, troopers with the Tucker County detachment of the West Virginia State Police were dispatched to a residence in Davis in reference to a sexual assault that had taken place on the previous night, according to a criminal complaint.

Emmanuel Huffman, a. k.a. Jesus Christ

Troopers attended an interview with a victim’s advocate and spoke with the victim who stated that Emmanuel Huffman, 35, of Harman, had entered her home without consent and “began coming at her while removing his pants,” trooper said.

When the victim attempted to run, Huffman grabbed the victim “by the hair on the back of her head and pulled her onto the couch in the living room,” according to the complaint.

Upon doing so, Huffman began sexually assaulting the victim, then made her go into a bedroom where he “smacked her head on the headboard” and “kept repeating that he was Jesus Christ and that he was going to save her soul,” troopers said.

Huffman has been charged with sexual assault. He was booked in the Tygart Valley Regional Jail on June 12.
