Musk's Biggest Mistake: To Betray The Trump Mafia

Once you're a goodfella inducted into the garbage management business, you can't just walk out ratting out on everyone else, especially not on the boss. Elon Musk became a made man when he joined the Trump family crime syndicate. He then was promoted to the status of goombah.

But with his own garbage business (cars and rockets) suffering as as result of his joining the family, he flipped and went to mattresses with his erstwhile brothers. The boss is not happy and may soon decide to have Musk walk across the bridge. But for now, he's heard messages through the eye.

Big Brother Donald Dumb is done with Musk. He sees him as a traitorand is warning him not to go funding the other side, i.e. the Democrats, as he did with his $280 million contribution to the Dumb campaign. There would be "serious consequences" if Musk funds U.S. Democrats running against Republicans who vote for the president's sweeping tax and spending bill.

The association between Musk and the Trumpian Cosa Nostra is over, it seems, with Donald Dumb saying he has no desire to repair his relationship with Musk. "I have no intention of speaking to him," the criminal Moron-in-Chief said. Musk has a lot at stake in this divorce: He could lose tens of billions of dollars in federal subsidies to his StarLink satellite internet or SpaceX rocket launch companies.

The insults between the boss and the goombah erupted earlier this week, with Musk Donald Dumb's Big Beautiful Bill a "disgusting abomination." Musk also declared it was time for a new political party in the United States "to represent the 80% in the middle!"

It is clear that Musk's car business faltering and his rockets exploding are causing him to review his stupid association with the Trump crime family. His electric Tesla car brand appealed mostly to liberal Democrats - since the barbarian MAGA inbred middle-America peasants still attached to their gas-guzzling trucks from the 1950s. So the reaction of the liberal segment of the market to Musk's right-wing extremism and to his cruel attacks on venerated institutions of the US government has been so damaging to his businesses that Musk may have made the strategic decision to change camps before it is too late.

But those who play one side then walk on to the other side end up losing on both sides. Like double agents who walk the “Tightrope Tango” and end up falling in disgrace on either side of the rope. Even if he decides to fund Democrats to spite Trump, it is unclear that the Democrats would forgive him for enabling a criminal felon from acceeding to the presidency.

Musk himself is an extreme right-wing white neo-Nazi of Apartheid South African heritage, with lots of affinities with the extreme right wing white Christian racists of Donald Dumb. He arrived to the US after the fall of apartheid by cheating on his student visa. As an immigrant who earlier this year defended the F-1 and H-1B visas granted to highly skilled foreign students and workers, he feels hurt by the Trump crime syndicate's extortion methods in dealing with prestigious universities.

As everyone who crosses the boss knows, "walking the bridge" could be fatal. So terrified as he must be at Trump's wrath, Musk has begun deleting his own social media posts critical of Trump, including one that signaled support for impeaching the president. This is not as much an attempt at de-escalation than a cowering in fear of what comes next.

One of the X posts that Musk appeared to have deleted was a response to another user posting: "President vs Elon. Who wins? My money's on Elon. Trump should be impeached and (Vice President) JD Vance should replace him." Musk had written "yes." On Theo Von's "This Past Weekend" podcast - recorded on Thursday as the feud between Trump and Musk unfolded and released on Saturday - Vance called Musk's criticism of Trump a "huge mistake."

Musk, the world's richest man, bankrolled a large part of Trump's 2024 presidential campaign, spending nearly $300 million in last year's U.S. elections and taking credit for Republicans retaining a majority of seats in the House and retaking a majority in the Senate.

Trump named Musk to head an effort to downsize the federal workforce and slash spending, lauding him at the White House only about a week ago for his work as head of the Department of Government Efficiency. Musk cut only about half of 1% of total spending, far short of his brash plans to axe $2 trillion from the federal budget.

In the heat of the feud, Donald Dumb told insiders that the former DOGE head was a “big-time drug addict” and has cautioned his inner circle of  Mafiosi at the White House to be careful with Musk, telling JD Vance to “be cautious” when speaking of the fallout.

One of the final blows came after Trump told Musk he was not nominating Jared Isaacman for NASA administrator, despite Musk’s encouragement (Isaacman had donated to several Democrats). Musk took this as an affront to his own space-related goals, including colonizing Mars, and launched his tirade against Trump on X days later.

Meanwhile, the sub-boss in the criminal entreprise, one numskull by the name of JD Vance, threatened Musk in perfect Mafia style by declaring, "I think it's a huge mistake for him to go after the president like that," Vance said in a podcast and expressed hope that Musk "figures it out" and "comes back into the fold." In Mafia language, these are veiled threats.

Musk had unleashed a whirlwind of X posts directed at the president, saying Trump would have lost the election without his help and accusing him of "ingratitude." The fallout grew progressively uglier, with Trump threatening to cut Musk's government contracts.

Bottom line: Musk's savvy at managing new technologies is unfortunately compensated by his political naiveté. Didn't he know that once you join the Mafia there's no way back except "walking the bridge"?
