Brazil is suddenly a much better country than the US. More democratic with a functioning judicial system.
The seditious criminal Jair Bolsonaro who mounted a coup against his own country and governmental institutions and tried to subvert the results of the last presidential elections, in imitation of his grand master the convicted criminal Donald Dump, was just sentenced by the Brazilian Supreme Court to 27-40 years in prison.
In contrast, the United States of America is suddenly exposed as a backward banana republic in which a corrupt Senate and a corrupt Supreme Court exonerated Donald Dump of the same crimes as Bolsonaro. Not only that, but the convicted seditious criminal Donald Dump was allowed to return to the White House, instead of serving 27-40 years in prison as he deserves for betraying his country and violating its constituion.
Foreigners nowadays laugh when I try to defend the US as a democracy. They wonder how can it be a democracy when its elected officials break the laws of the land and when violence, both verbal and physical, is the preeminent means by which adversaries stand as rivals.
