Genocide of Palestinians Helps the World Remember Auschwitz

In an irony of historical proportions, the averge world citizen watches the horrors of the Zionist genocide of the Palestinian people and wonders: Regardless of the insignificant details and looking at what is happening to the Palestinian people from a high altitude, he/she sees one people drenched in arrogance and racism decimate another people whose innocence is beyond doubt.

The Germans claimed to be a superior race. The Zionists make the same claim. Doesn't Netanyahu keep telling the world that "his people" are defending western values, as if non-western values are trash that should be fought with 2,000-lb bombs?

The Germans claimed that Jews are filthy subhumans worthy only of destruction and annihilation. The Zionists make the same claim about Palestinians being subhuman - human animals - whose destruction and annihilation are legitimate. 

The Germans herded their own native European Jews in ghettoes and in concentration camps. The Zionists arrived some 100 years ago as foreign settlers to Palestine - they weren't even born there - and began herding the native Palestinians, war after war, out of their ancestral villages and towns into squalid refugee camps. With each war, the Zionists would expel Palestinian refugees from their older refugee camps into new camps: Haven't you noticed that Gaza is nothing but a collection of some hundred refugee camps to which the Palestinians had already fled from the 1930s-1940s Jewish terror campaigns, then 1948, 1967, and 1973 wars? The entire trajectory of the creation of the state of Israel -  a western colonial military outpost in the Middle East -  is one giant Zionist ethnic cleansing campaign of the native indigenous people of Palestine. And now the Zionists want them to go to new refugee camps in Jordan and Egypt. Syria, Lebanon and Jordan already host dozens of Palestinian refugee camps.

The Germans spoke of a "final solution" when tagerting the elimination of European Jewry. The Zionists already speak of their own "final solution" to the Palestinian "problem" they themselves have created by displacing, killing, expelling and otherwise exterminating the native indigenous people of Palestine. Neither the Jews of Germany, nor the indigenous Palestinians, have done anything to suffer their fates.

The Germans spoke of a cultural incompatibility between their own culture and that of the Jews. The Zionists speak of their "white man's mission" in Palestine as one aiming to introduce western culture to a backward and primitive Arab world. Zionists keep referring to their violent colony in a land not their own as "the only democracy" in the region. What democracy is this that is custom-tailored to only one community (the invading settler one) but not to the other indigenous native community? What democracy is this that not only treats its own Palestinian victims as second-class citizens with no rights, but denies them the space for their natural growth, while stealing their land and claiming it for the natural growth of its Jewish community only?

There is irony in the fact that the world this year commemorated 80 years of Auschwitz under the long shadow of the crimes commited by the survivors of that death camp against the Palestinian people.  That is why you can sense in the media a subdued commemoration of Auschwitz, barely one minute coverage on most media. The world is beginning to understand that the de novo creation of an artificial foreign colony in Palestine is perhaps the other greatest and vilest crime to be committed during the 20th century. The world is beginning to reject the psychological blackmail with which one crime has been used to justify another. The double standard will no longer be ignored.
