Fear Settling in: All US Media are Bending the Knee to the Dictator

CNN Caves in to the Dictator

CNN has decided to do away with Jim Acosta's morning newscast.

Former Republican Rep. Joe Walsh (Ill.) commented, “I appear on CNN quite often. And if saying what I’m about to say means my days at CNN are over, well then f‑‑‑ it. CNN, what you just did – removing Acosta from his morning show – is cowardly bulls‑‑‑,” Walsh said on X. “Acosta is one of your most independent, unafraid hosts. To demote him to f‑‑‑ing appease the crybaby in the White House is pathetic.”

Why is CNN doing this to Acosta? Because he often stood up to the orange baboon and sparred with him which resulted in the revoking of his press pass.

Walsh, a vocal Trump critic, called CNN’s move on Acosta “an abdication of your duty to hold ALL public officials to account.”

“Shame on you CNN,” he said.

Fearful CBS News to Settle with the Dictator

CBS News appears to be caving in to the despot Donald Dumb as it is considering settling its legal battle with the orange baboon in the White (Out)house.

Trump's $10 billion lawsuit against CBS News is a direct attack on free speech. It accuses CBS News of improperly editing a "60-Minutes" interview with democratic rival Kamala Harris last fall. Who is Trump to decide what a news corporation can or cannot do with its content?

CBS's parent company Paramount Global is considering settling the suit to avoid further clashes with the orange baboon. This appears like a cowardly cave-in by a so-called independent media to a dictator.

Bernie Sanders, the independent Senator from Vermont, is sounding the alarm on the settlement. "CBS may be reaching a legal settlement with Trump because he didn't like how a campaign interview with Kamala was edited. Really?" Sanders reacted. "If CBS caves, the belief that we have an independent media protected by the First Amendment is undermined."

"CBS: stand tall. Support the Constitution," Sanders added.

WSJ reported that Paramount is considering making a deal with the president as it pursues a merger with Skydance Media in hopes to prevent potential retribution by Trump's FCC, which has the authority to halt the multibillion-dollar transaction.

ABC News Already Bent the Knee to Big Brother Back in December

Back in December, ABC News settled a defamation lawsuit filed by Trump, resulting in giving him $15 million and a written apology.

Trump sued the Disney-owned network after an exchange its anchor George Stephanopoulos had with Rep. Nancy Mace, R-S.C., on the Sunday morning news program "This Week."

During the interview, Stephanopoulos said Trump was found "liable for rape," when the jury in the E. Jean Carroll civil case actually determined him to be liable for "sexual abuse," which has a distinct definition under New York law.

Despite the defiant posture Stephanopoulos took early on, his bosses at Disney 's ABC News paid $15 million to Trump. In addition, the network paid $1 million in Trump's attorney fees. Stephanopoulos and ABC News also had to issue statements of "regret".
