The past 24 hours have seen a significant boost in polling and fundraising in favor of Abdul El-Sayed, which can only be interpreted at anger in the Democrat base at Haley Stevens and her betrayal and defection to the MAGA herd of morons.
Republicans have been touting Haley Stevens's 11th-hour treason (by endorsing her enemy MAGA candidate Mike Rogers) as a heroic act of bravery on her part, further drilling the fact that the GOP-MAGA cult is 1- racist to the bone and the betrayal by Stevens can only be attributed to her white trash hatred of dark-skinned Muslim El-Sayed, and 2- that the Zionist fascists of AIPAC have terrorized to ruin Stevens if she doesn't defect.
Meanwhile, El-Sayed's campaign said it raised $2.4 million within a few hours of Stevens's defection, the best-ever fundraising day for the Democrat candidate representing some 65,000 new donors.
Stevens's betrayal came after months of tension between her and El-Sayed since he defeated her in the Democratic primary in August, and after the Zionist lobby exerted enormous pressure on her to prioritize Israel over all the miseries Trump and his Zionist allies have inflicted on the American people in their absurd war against Iran.
The role played by AIPAC in pushing Stevens to betray her party and her principles became evident after Stevens's boyfriend Jason Turkish, who is an Israeli immigrant who hates El-Sayed because he is the son of Egyptian immigrants, announced he would vote for the MAGA stooge Mike Rogers.
El-Sayed meanwhile dismissed the betrayal by Stevens, telling reporters, "At the end of the day. I actually don't think about Haley Stevens," and added later, "None of this matters." Michigan Representative Debbie Dingell revealed that she had spoken to Stevens repeatedly over the past week and that she and others were "worried" about her because she was under a lot stress as Zionist backers of Mike Rogers were pressuring her. Dingell said that the "strong Jewish community in her district" had mounted a vitriolic and racist attack against El-Sayed.
Meanwhile the Michigan African-American community was dismayed at Stevens's betrayal and its leaders vowed to make a push for African voters to head to the polls. Virgie Rollins, chair of the Democratic National Committee Black Caucus said in a statement that she was "dismayed that Congresswoman Haley Stevens has revealed herself to be a sellout who used Black Michiganders for a political stunt." House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries said that Stevens "made a terrible decision, blindsided everyone and isolated herself from the House Democratic caucus."
A CNN poll last week found about 75% of Black voters saying they were backing El-Sayed and 10% said they were backing Rogers. Another CNN poll showed El-Sayed with a 49%-42% margin over Rogers while a New York Times/Siena poll conducted over the last week of October and released Sunday showed the race 53%-42% El-Sayed.
Stevens is expected to complete her betrayal by resigning from the Democrat Party since it signaled the end of any career she might have as a Democrat. She is expected to join the pro-Trump MAGA-GOP herd of morons. Curtis Hertel, the chair of Michigan's Democratic Party, said Stevens's move "shows that she has abandoned everything she claims to care about" and that she "is not a current member of the Michigan Democratic Party, nor will she be in the future."
Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer called the move "a despicable betrayal" and several of her House Democratic colleagues suggested she should be expelled from the House Democratic caucus.
