The Sort of Idiocy Americans Often Fall Into Because they are "Different"

Not using the metric system which all nations use - except the US - once caused NASA to loose a half-a-billion dollar satellite.

Consider the following logical sequence from small to large: day - month - year. Everyone around the world uses it to write down dates - except the US which insists on: month - day - year.

US tourists overseas often make themsleves look like fools because they can't understand why the world is different for them. After all, they are the best, the greatest, the most whatever .... 

But the US has to be different. It is such a unique entity in the history of the world - like Trump is - that it is free to use absurdities just to stand out.

Air Canada Passenger Claims She Was Served 6-Month-Old Beef, But Viewers Say She Was Reading Date Like an American


Kerry Schwartz and the "offending" 6-months old beef she was served by those lesser Canadians.

She claimed that the airline served her expired food on a recent flight, and that is because out of ignorance that the rest of the world doesn't necessarily do things like the US, she read the date of 05-11-2025 as meaning MAY 11, 2025 instead of the international logical  day-month-year sequence, i.e. 05-November-2025.

Upset, Kerry Schwartz, complained to the even more stupid flight attendant who confirmed to her that the food was prepared about six months ago, but that it was safe to eat. 

As she complained on social media, she got roasted for all the inanities that Americans are capable of.

“Girl, those dates are 5th and 6th of November 2025!” one user wrote. “Everywhere else in the world writes dates as day/month/year.”

One comment poking fun at the user garnered more than 12,000 likes: “oh Americans how boring our lives would be without you ♥️🤦.”

Others came to the defense of the airline. “It’s ok Air Canada, the comment section has got this covered,” one person said, indicating they felt they'd resolved the customer's complaint.

“So that’s why they write ‘DO NOT DRINK’ on cleaning products in the US,” another said.
