Palestine Before its Rape by Zionists

A street in West Jerusalem before the founding of Israel in 1948.

The Zionists have fooled the world with their lies that Palestine was empty and completely undeveloped until it was invaded by the Jews in 1948! “A land without a people for a people without land” is the slogan of Jewish propaganda to justify the rape of Palestine.

Palestine was not an empty piece of land before Israel. It was a country. It had a vibrant society with cities, airports, schools, colleges, theaters, concerts, newspapers, culture and administrative institutions. Just like neighboring Lebanon, Syria, Jordan and Egypt. The Palestinians were an ordinary people with an ordinary country, rising from under 400 years of Turkish occupation. They had hopes for freedom and independence.

The photo above depicts a street in West Jerusalem before the founding of Israel in 1948. The image is available on the Library of Congress website under the title, "Princess Mary Street with Rex Cinema in background, West Jerusalem." It is identified as having been taken by the Matson Photo Service sometime between 1940 and 1946.

The crooks of the British Mandate named the street Princess Mary Street, before the Zionists changed it to Shlomzion Hamalka Street.

It belongs to a vast collection of photographs called the "Matson (G. Eric and Edith) Photograph Collection," which consists of photos taken across Palestine between 1898 and 1946.

The Rex Cinema served as an iconic gathering place for Palestinians during the contentious period of the British Mandate which promised independence to both the indigenous Palestinian people and the invading hordes of European terrorists.

In May 1939, the first of two main terror attacks was launched by the Jewish terrorist Irgun  organization against the theater. A second terrorist bombing by the Irgun took place during the violence that followed the announcement of the U.N. Partition Plan in 1947. The Irgun claimed responsibility for the destruction of the Rex Cinema. The invading colonialist Jews formed many terrorist organizations like the Irgun – Lehi group, Stern Gang, the Haganah… - that would later coalesce to form the nucleus of the Israeli army we know of today.

Clipping from "The Palestine Post" dated June 2, 1939

The neighborhood of Mamilla, where the street photo above was taken, sits almost directly on the border between East and West Jerusalem, about a 20-minute walk from Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Western Wall, two of the holiest places for the Muslim and Jewish communities.

Note that Palestine, like many of its neighboring countries, had a small Jewish community, mostly refugees from the pogroms in Russia and Eastern Europe or pilgrims visiting the holy sites. According to most censuses taken around the turn of the century, there were 500,000-600,000 Palestinians and 10,000-15,000 Jews living in Palestine.
