MAGA has Thrown 750,000 Federal Workers under the Bus

Not only do Trump and his GOP congressional butlers want to deprive 20 million Americans of affordable health insurance (under the Affordable Care Act), it is denying 750,000 federal employees of their salaries, while the dumb moron is spending $300 million on a disgusting tacky ballroom modeled on the gold-laced Versailles Hall of Mirrors.

And, Donald Dumb is demanding that his own Department of Justice, which he has weaponized to terrorize his political adversaries, pay him some $230 million in reparations for the previous Biden administration DOJ's prosecuting the chronic criminal, cheater and abuser for violating the law, paying off prostitutes from snitching on him during his campaign, cheating on his taxes, and colluding with the Russian foreign adversary of the US.

Some of Donald Hump's economic advisers do, however, have a heart. Among them is Kevin Hassett who is advising unpaid federal workers on how to survive without pay.

His precious advice? Get in debt to survive. Hasset said that they should ask their superiors for guidance on how to access loans and other aid he claimed is available to them. To his credit, Hassett said that he “really feels for” the 750,000 federal civil servants who aren’t getting paid because the Republican-controlled House and Senate have failed to pass legislation to fund the government over the 24 days since the last fiscal year ended and forced agencies to furlough all but the most essential employees and force those still on the job to work without pay.

Hard as they try to blame the Democrats for the shutdown, the American people are not buying the argument because the Republican-GOP-MAGA cabal owns all three branches of government. People cannot comprehend how the Democrat minority, who is out of government, can bring the entire government to heel. Either the Republican-owned government is weaker than it claims or the Republicans are playing a sinister and callous game with the American people.

Hasset, with his stupid smurk on his face, said, “We would urge people to call their supervisors, because there are things that are available, like credit loans at zero interest for people that are in the situation".  He jesuitically referred to the ongoing shutdown as “not really acceptable to us” and blamed Senate Democrats — who do not hold a majority in the upper chamber — for refusing to vote for a GOP-authored stopgap bill to fund the government through mid-November.

The shutdown stalemate stems from the Republicans refusing to extend existing provisions in the law allowing for health insurance tax credits that have kept premiums for millions of Americans at a reasonable rate. Without such an extension, insurance companies have signaled intent to raise rates by as much as double or triple last year’s rates. In his cold-blooded indifference to the suffering of millions of American households, the Trump-Butler House Speaker Mike Johnson has kept the House out of session for the last month for two reasons: 1- as a way of pressuring senators to accept a House-passed stopgap bill that would fund government for a couple of weeks but without resolving the healthcare impasse, and 2- to prevent a potentially embarrassing vote on releasing Justice Department files on the deceased pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, as Johnson has refused to swear-in the newly elected Democrat representative from Arizona, Adelita Grijalva, whose vote could tip the balance in favor of releasing the Epstein files.

For some suspicious reasons, the Republican reptiles crawling at the feet of King Donald The Moron do not want to make the Epstein files public because they might mention Donald Dumb several times in compromising postures with the convicted pedophile. The Senate requires a 60-vote supermajority to advance most legislation. There are 53 Republicans, 45 Democrats, and 2 Independents who caucus with the Democrats in the Senate. Hence, the Republicans cannot win a Senate vote on the stopgap bill without a handful of Democrats joing them. Since Democrats have all declined to lend their support to the GOP bill without provisions in it to extend the health insurance tax credits, the government is without funding.

Logic has it that a majority of Americans blame Republicans for the funding impasse, although Hassett and the GOP continue to balme the Democrats.

And as if mocking himself and the Republican reptiles, Hasset said, “The Democrats in the Senate are no longer a moderating force in this country. They're not adhering to a constitutional duty to be a moderating force. And the people that are furloughed are not being paid right now."

One wonders why it is the Democrats' burden to be "moderates" when their fellow Radical Right Republicans have been packing themselves like sardines inside the extremist lunatic MAGA caboose hitched to the demented senile Donald Dumb's runaway train headed for the inevitable crash.
