Canadian Boycott Know-How: Hurt Americans in their Wallets

America First = America Only = America Alone. But the Dumb Idiot doesn't understand it. He's an ignorant stiff whose father taught him to throw the blade but did not teach him to read. Literacy is not just "knowing your letters", it's develop the neural ability to convert what you read into meaning. Donald Dumb certainly "knows his letters" although his neck stiffens from the strenuous efforts he makes to read from the teleprompter. But he doesn't understand what he reads, and he often doesn't understand what he's saying.

Canadians Announce 'Boycott' of Popular U.S. Vacation Spot
Andrew Holleran
Mon, June 30, 2025

Canadians have announced a "boycott" of a popular U.S. vacation spot this summer.

There's ongoing tension between the United States and Canada thanks to President Trump. The 47th President of the United States has been taking shots at Canada, suggesting that it will one day become our 51st state. Canada, unsurprisingly, hasn't taken kindly to this - or the proposed tariffs.

Now, some Canadians have announced a "boycott" of a popular U.S. vacation spot.

Roughly 25 percent of all foreign tourism in the United States is by Canadians. However, that number could be going down this year, due to the ongoing tension.

Canadians have announced that they are boycotting a popular seaside town in Maine.

George Poitras is one of several Canadians who have been vacationing in the Maine beach town of Old Orchard Beach for several years. However, he and many others are choosing to boycott the vacation spot in the United States this year.

"And so, after heading there most of the last 30 summers, Poitras is skipping his Maine stay for a trip to Quebec and Ontario instead," the Wall Street Journal reported.

It's politically motivated, he says.

“It’s a political thing, it’s not the people,” Poitras says. “The day I come back to Maine will be a happy day for me.”

The Wall Street Journal had more:

Old Orchard Beach is a place of deep ties. Big hotel chains are absent. Local families operate inns that their parents, or even grandparents, owned. Many visitors book the same rooms and campsites every year, often with generations of family in tow. They walk the pier, give the children money for the arcade and have late-night drinks on the waterfront, where the Canadian and American flags fly side by side.

This year is going to be different. Up to 40% of the town’s visitors come from Canada, according to the local chamber of commerce, and many are canceling plans.

At the Royal Anchor Beach Resort, cancellations are double what they would typically be and almost entirely due to Canadians, says owner Steve Cowan. Many have called directly to make clear they don’t have a problem with him or the staff, whom they consider friends.

Canadians have said that they are hurting and many are refusing to enter the United States as a result.

Donald Dumb is a Political Prostitute: He'll Trash his Racist Principles for Money

He hates Mexicans, he hates Brazilians, he hates Venezuelans and all the rest of them from the "shithole" countriesof Central and South America. He wants them out of the country so he can keep "his" friggin' America "white" like his beautiful white skin.

But he has a dilemma: He also loves money. Everything he does is for money. So when he deports those Latin American workers who feed the United States with their back-breaking jobs on farms and slaughterhouses, he and his billionaire jackass friends have no workers left to do the work. And they lose money.

When they lose money, their principled racism gets tempered by their greed, and they run to the big Moron Daddy to ask him to stop deporting their workers. He asks them why? How could we retreat on our white christian racism of hating everyone who is not white anglo saxon protestant? They say, "but we're losing money, we can't harvest the crops that go into our ultra-processed foods with which we poison the world, you'd better do something".

He, the orangutan dummy, decides on the spot to temporarily put aside his racism. He's not giving up on it, it's in his German DNA. But given that the harvest season is coming, he reluctantly decides to put a temporary halt to his hatred and his disdain for hard-working people and people with principles. You see, he never had a job and he has no principles.

This is at the core of anglo-saxon protestantism: Fuck religion when money is at play. Apparently, sweet, meek and mild Jesus told them to prove their faith by making as much money as they can: They call it his "Prosperity Gospel", which upon reading the Gospel turns out to be a fallacy. Didn't Jesus tell the rich man to sell everything, leave everything behind, and follow him?

How could these distorters of the Christian message get away with crimes against their own religion? How could all the Catholic Latin Americans allow themselves to be brainwashed and converted into protestantism by the so-called "Evangelical missionaries" whose objective is no more than modern-day colonialism, capitalism and imperialism disguised under the cloak of the Christian religion?

Bolsonaro and his evangelical creeps exploit their own people's credulity by telling them they are sinners and have to repent by becoming slaves to anglo-saxon protestantism.

Trump says there will be ‘temporary pass’ for migrant farm, hotel workers
Alex Gangitano
Sun, June 29, 2025

President Trump said that there will be a temporary pass issued for migrants working at farms and in the hospitality industry to allow employers to have more control after the administration sent mixed messages about exceptions in its mass deportation efforts.

Trump was asked on Fox News’s “Sunday Morning Futures” with Maria Bartiromo about his recent remarks suggesting the administration will ease up on the deportation of people working at farms and hotels.

“I don’t back away,” he said. “What I do have, I cherish our farmers. And when we go into a farm and we take away people that have been working there for 15 and 20 years, who were good, who possibly came in incorrectly. And what we’re going to do is we’re going to do something for farmers where we can let the farmer sort of be in charge. The farmer knows he’s not going to hire a murderer.”

Trump said he wants to support farmers and that the administration will establish a program to allow a pass for migrant workers in the industry.

But you know, when you go into a farm and you set somebody working with them for nine years doing this kind of work, which is hard work to do and a lot of people aren’t going to do it, and you end up destroying a farmer because you took all the people away — it’s a problem. You know, I’m on both sides of the thing. I’m the strongest immigration guy that there’s ever been, but I’m also the strongest farmer guy that there’s ever been, and that includes also hotels and, you know, places where people work, a certain group of people work [understand: illegal undocumented migrants],” the president added.

He continued, “We’re working on it right now. We’re going to work it so that, some kind of a temporary pass, where people pay taxes, where the farmer can have a little control as opposed to you walk in and take everybody away.”

Trump earlier in the month acknowledged concerns among the agriculture and hospitality industries that his administration’s immigration enforcement was taking away workers key to those businesses.

His acknowledgment led to a pause in enforcement at farms, hotels and other locations, but days later, the administration seemed to reverse course.

Border czar Tom Homan told reporters the administration would “continue to do worksite enforcement operations, even on farms and hotels, but based on a prioritized basis.”

Days later, Trump told reporters that he was still exploring ways to help farmers.

“We’re looking at doing something where, in the case of good reputable farmers, they can take responsibility for the people that they hire and let them have responsibility because we can’t put the farms out of business,” the president recently said.

Brown-Skinned Mamdani: Magnet for White American Christian "Antisemitic" Racists

Anti-Judaism, judeophobia, antimsemitism.... have been invented by Westerners in Europe who carried them to America by ignorant illiterate European peasants.

To escape the shame of white European Anglo-saxon antisemitism that produced such fine productions of western civilization as Slavery, the Spanish Inquisition or the German Holocaust, those very same antisemitic Jew-haters (The American Nazi Party, your average GOP republicans, the Ku Klux Klan, MAGA, Proud Boys, etc..), have elaborated a vaccine called "antimsemitism" to posture themselves as defenders of Jews.

But this posture has no universal character: It does not apply to generic racism and hatred of everything and everyone who who is not white Protestant Christian of European descent. It is strictly developed by the "Judeo-Christian" fallacy to assuage the guilt of having persecuted Jews for two millennia. There is no "morality" to the western fake defense of Jews, because if there were, it would be universal and extend to defending any other human being, regardless of their origin, race or religion.

Alas, at the same time that they claim to want to defend Jews, the white Christian European and American racists hate everyone else on the planet. They don't like Asians, they don't like Arabs, they don't like Latin Americans, and we know very well how much they continue to hate Africans.

Imagine the contrast between the Holocaust and Slavery:

The Holocaust lasted 4 years and killed 6 million Jews. It involved herding people out of their homes, towns and cities and into concentration camps where they were starved and worked to death for 4 years, subjected to torture and human experimentation, then disposed off in high-tech ovens.

Slavery, on the other hand, lasted 400 years (16th to 19th century) and killed tens of millions of Black Africans. The estimate of the number killed during the transatlantic slave trade varies, but given the time frame of 4 centuries, it is likely to be much much higher than 6 million. The official UN estimate is 17 million. But reasonable estimates usually agree on 60 million. The slave trade involved herding people out of their homes, villages and cities, ferrying them in chains across the Atlantic on ships, putting them to work in atrocious conditions, including torture, beating, raping, whipping, lynching and killing.

The horror of the persecution of Jews during WWII by the white Christian anglo-saxon Germans can never be understated, but why is the persecution of Black Africans over four centuries swept under the rug, and anti-Africanism continues to be fashionable among the perpetrators of both the Holocaust and the Slave Trade?

Why is it OK for white American Christians to have an anaphylactic reaction when a Swastika is painted on a wall, but to indulge in indifference when a white American Christian officer kneels on the neck of a Black African and suffocates him to death?

Again and again, and without falling into the trap of creating new terms and definitions, it is acceptable in White Christian American circles to hate anyone who is not white Christian, except Jews. In fact, Jew-hating has not disappeared; it is still present, but it has been subdued and camouflaged under a veneer of fake Christian love and is indeed tolerated because of the utility to the West of the Jewish colonial implant in Palestine. Had Israel not being created out of Holocaust-guilt artifice and crooked British (and now American) colonialism, antisemitism would still be shamelessly flourishing in the West.

But when it comes to non-Jews, hatred and xenophobia towards all other human groups that are not white christian is guilt-free, vocal and widely prevalent and acceptable.

Zohran Mamdani is a case in point. He's not white. He's not Christian. Culturally and perhaps even ethnically he's closer to a Jew than to a European descent white American. Had he been a Jew, no one would dare say a word against him. But he's not a Jew. He's a Muslim with an ethnic background that - typical of America - is the bastardization and hybridization of a variety of origins that seems to irk White Christian Americans to the bone. Zohran Mamdani is a "brownie" of Indian origin, born in African Uganda to an Indian father and an Indian-American mother.

So they must hate him. Especially because he is successful. For some reason, his Indian origins do not seem to make him exploitable like a Jew would be. Is India with its 1.5 billion people not as valuable as Israel's 5 million Jews? Could he not be shielded against racism by the utility of India to the long-standing Western tradition of raping other countries and nations?

Top Democratic Senator Goes On Wildly Racist Tirade Against Zohran Mamdani
Sanjana Karanth
Mon, June 30, 2025

A top Democratic senator has joined the mostly right-wing chorus of Islamophobic attacks against Zohran Mamdani, launching a shockingly racist tirade riddled with lies against the party’s recently elected Muslim mayoral candidate for New York City.

Last week, New Yorkers elected Mamdani as the Democratic nominee for November’s mayoral general election, beating out scandal-ridden former Gov. Andrew Cuomo. Despite the young progressive skyrocketing in popularity, his campaign faced repeated attacks from the right on his identity as a Muslim American immigrant – attacks that only increased after his primary win.

Repeating that rhetoric is Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, a Democrat from New York who angrily made unsubstantiated claims about Mamdani’s beliefs during a Thursday radio appearance on WNYC’s “The Brian Lehrer Show.” The senator had responded on-air to a caller’s unfounded claims that New York’s Jewish community is facing threats as a result of Mamdani’s win.

“The caller is exactly the New York constituents that I’ve spoken to that are alarmed. They are alarmed by past public statements. They are alarmed by past positions – particularly references to global jihad,” Gillibrand said. “This is a very serious issue, because people that glorify the slaughter of Jews create fear in our communities. ‘The global intifada’ is a statement that means, ‘Destroy Israel and kill all the Jews.’”

The Arabic word “intifada” is used to describe uprisings and rebellions, most commonly the decades-long Palestinian resistance to Israeli occupation. “Globalize the intifada” is a phrase used by some activists to express solidarity with the Palestinian liberation movement. The Arabic word “jihad” means to struggle, though over time many non-Muslims in the U.S. have come to believe the word is synonymous with religious violence.

Gillibrand’s comments likely referred to a prior interview where Mamdani was asked if he would denounce the phrase, “Globalize the intifada,” to which he has repeatedly answered that while he does not use the term himself, he will not use the office of the mayor to police speech in the way that President Donald Trump does.

Lehrer pushed back at least three separate times during the interview with Gillibrand, reminding the senator that Mamdani has spoken extensively about his commitment to protect all New Yorkers – including the Jewish community – and that there is no evidence of the Democrat ever having expressed support for the violence Gillibrand and the caller accuse him of.

Despite the fact-checks and admitting she does not “have all the data and information,” Gillibrand continued to push the lie that Mamdani endorses rhetoric that endangers Jewish New Yorkers, without mentioning the anti-Muslim hate rising alongside antisemitism. After facing protests and public backlash for her comments, the senator’s office told Rolling Stone on Friday that she “misspoke.”

“Why is Senator Gillibrand parroting divisive Republican fear-mongering about Zohran? He has pledged from day 1 to combat anti-semitism & protect Jewish New Yorkers like me,” New York City councilman Lincoln Restler posted on X in response to her comments.

“Voters are clamoring for a vision to make life in our city more affordable – not politicians who just try to make us scared of each other,” he continued. “I wish the Senator took the time to do her homework and get her facts straight before attacking the Democratic nominee for mayor.”

Gillibrand’s comments were followed by fellow New York Democratic Rep. Laura Gillen, who this weekend pushed the lie that Mamdani has called for violence against Jewish people. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) on Sunday joined in elevating the false claims about Mamdani, demanding on ABC’s “This Week” that he clarify his position on Palestinian-related slogans.

“We should all be disgusted by the flood of anti-Muslim remarks spewed in the aftermath of Zohran Mamdani’s victory in the NYC mayoral primary – some blatant, others latent,” Sen. Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.) said on Sunday. “Shame on the members of Congress who have engaged in such bigotry and anyone who doesn’t challenge it.”

Mamdani has not directly commented on the senator’s rhetoric, but was asked Sunday by NBC’s Kristen Welker about whether he condemns the same phrases Gillibrand accused him of supporting. The progressive made it clear that he would not take the bait, maintaining that the public should focus less on slogans and more on his words and actions supporting all people in historically diverse New York City.

“That’s not language that I use. The language that I use and the language that I will continue to use to lead this city is that which speaks clearly to my intent, which is an intent grounded in a belief in universal human rights,” he told “Meet the Press.” “And ultimately, that’s what is the foundation of so much of my politics, the belief that freedom and justice and safety are things that, to have meaning, have to be applied to all people, and that includes Israelis and Palestinians as well.”

The pressure on Mamdani to denounce certain phrases or groups unrelated to him is just the latest incident of Muslim public officials facing scrutiny at a level advocates say is much higher than non-Muslim officials.

“We know these attacks all too well. At a time of increased violence against elected officials, we cannot allow the attacks on Zohran Mamdani to continue. They directly contribute to the ongoing dehumanization and violence against Muslim Americans,” four Muslim members of Congress wrote Friday in a letter. “We unequivocally reject the normalization of anti-Muslim hate and fearmongering and call on elected leaders across our country to speak out.”

Some Day, Trump's Rape of the US Will Backfire on MAGA-GOP

It's simple.

Unless they think they'll be in power forever, MAGA-GOP morons must assume that some day, there will be a Democrat president elected to office.

Do they imagine what will happen to all their current "policies" and executive orders? Since they have violated this country's basic norms and conventions, as well as the constitution, will they countenance a vengeful Democrat president applying these made-up and illegal policies on Republicans?

Whatever changes they are making to the laws of the United States could be used against Republicans in the future.

The Supreme Court just opened the way for a District Judge's injunction against a presidential order to be ignored. Historically, never in the history of the US has a District Judge's injunction against an abusive and potentially anti-constitutional presidential decree been ignored. But now it can be because of the radical extreme right-wing Supreme Court which is now serving the President rather than the country.

For example, some day, a Democrat president will issue an executive order restoring an unfettered right to abortion. A conservative District Judge will issue an injunction barring abortions in his district or his state. Normally, that injunction should apply nationwide, temporarily, until the issue is settled in a superior court and ultimately in the Supreme court. But with the precedent now created, the conservative judge's decision cannot place on hold the president's order, and abortions become immediately legal.

There literally are hundreds of examples of issues where the clash that was normally balanced between the executive and the judiciary - the so-called checks and balances - has simply been tilted almost automatically to the president's favor. Right now, the MAGA-GOP morons are happy because the president is their boss and he is a MAGA GOP moron like them.

But what will happen if a future Democrat president, an inevitable scenario in normal history (and that  is why I suspect the MAGA-GOP imbeciles think they now have power forever), is a vengeful vindictive president whose sole objective is to turn everything backwards and punish the republicans?

Detained by ICE at Miami Airport for Having an Obama T-shirt in his Bags

"I would tell others to really think twice about traveling internationally while you have this administration in charge"

'Are you from California?' Political advisor said he was detained at airport after confirming he's from L.A.

Veteran Los Angeles political consultant Rick Taylor said he was pulled aside by U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents while returning from a trip abroad, asked if he was from California and then separated from his family and put in a holding room with several Latino travelers for nearly an hour.

“I know how the system works and have pretty good connections and I was still freaking out,” said Taylor, 71. “I could only imagine how I would be feeling if I didn’t understand the language and I didn’t know anyone.”

Taylor said he was at a loss to explain why he was singled out for extra questioning, but he speculated that perhaps
it was because of the Obama-Biden T-shirt packed in his suitcase.

Taylor was returning from a weeklong vacation in Turks and Caicos with his wife and daughter, who were in a separate customs line, when a CBP agent asked, "Are you from California?" He said he answered, “Yeah, I live in Los Angeles.”

The man who ran campaigns for L.A.'s last Republican mayor and for current Democratic Sen. Alex Padilla when he was a budding Los Angeles City Council candidate in the 1990s found himself escorted to a waiting room and separated from his family.

There, Taylor said he waited 45 minutes without being released, alleging he was unjustly marked for detention and intimidated by CBP agents.

“I have no idea why I was targeted,” said Taylor, a consultant with the campaign to reelect L.A. City Councilwoman Traci Park. “They don’t talk to you. They don’t give you a reason. You’re just left confused, angry and worried.”

Former Los Angeles County Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky said the incident brought to mind Sen. Alex Padilla, who was arrested and handcuffed June 12 while trying to ask a question during a Los Angeles press conference by Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem.

“My former chief of staff and political consultant, Rick Taylor, was detained at Miami International Airport by federal authorities after returning from an international vacation,” he said in an email. “As Senator Alex Padilla said a couple of weeks ago, ‘if it could happen to me, it could happen to anyone.’ This Federal government operation is OUT OF CONTROL! Where will it end?!”

A representative from the Customs and Border Protection in Florida said an inquiry made by the Los Angeles Times and received late Friday afternoon will likely be answered next week.

“If Mr. Taylor feels the need to, he is more than welcome to file a complaint online on our website and someone will reach out to him to try and get to the bottom of things,” CBP Public Affairs Specialist Alan Regalado said in an email.

Taylor, a partner at Dakota Communications, a strategic communications and marketing firm, said he was more concerned about traveling and returning to the U.S. with his wife, a U.S. citizen and native of Vietnam.

He said he reached out to a Trump administration member before leaving on vacation, asking if he could contact that individual in case his wife was detained.

The family flew American Airlines and landed in Miami on June 20, where he planned to visit friends before returning to Los Angeles on Tuesday.

In a twist, Taylor’s wife and daughter, both Global Entry cardholders, breezed through security while Taylor, who does not have Global Entry, was detained, he said.

He said after the agent confirmed he was a Los Angeles resident, he placed a small orange tag on his passport and was told to follow a green line. That led him to another agent and his eventual holding room.

Taylor described “95% of the population” inside the room as Latino and largely Spanish-speaking.

“I was one of three white dudes in the room,” he said. “I just kept wondering, ‘What I am doing here?’”

He said the lack of communication was “very intimidating,” though he was allowed to keep his phone and did send text message updates to his family.

“I have traveled a fair amount internationally and have never been pulled aside,” he said.

About 45 minutes into his holding, Taylor said an agent asked him to collect his luggage and hand it over for inspection.

He said he was released shortly after.

“The agents have succeeded in making me reassess travel,” Taylor said.
“I would tell others to really think twice about traveling internationally while you have this administration in charge.”

Trump's Soupe du Jour: Senile Shallots, Mad Carrots, Narcissistic Potatoes Whisked in Verbal Diahhreas

Trump Says He Gave Iran Permission to Bomb U.S. Base in Qatar and…Well, Mostly Crickets?
Sarah Posner
Fri, June 27, 2025

A lot of things happened. Here are some of the things. This is TPM’s Morning Memo.

Alarming Verbal Diarrhea From the President

When political scientist Seth Masket shared this story on Bluesky yesterday, I couldn’t believe it was real. The right-wing Washington Times reported that at a press conference at the NATO Summit in the Netherlands on Wednesday, Trump revealed that he had given Iran permission to bomb the U.S.’s Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar in retaliation for the American bombing of their nuclear sites.

“They said, ‘We’re going to shoot them. Is one o’clock OK?’ I said it’s fine,” Trump said. “And everybody was emptied off the base so they couldn’t get hurt, except for the gunners.”

I poked around for other major coverage of this extraordinary admission, and landed only on a transcript of the press conference. And yes, amid a characteristically meandering monologue, Trump actually said that he let a foreign adversary bomb an American military installation. But this story has pretty much come and gone with virtually no attention and certainly none of the outrage commensurate with what Trump said.

Let’s consider what Trump’s verbal diarrhea here could mean. Suppose he is (for once) telling the truth. Wouldn’t that represent the most shocking dereliction of duty one could imagine for the commander-in-chief? (A high crime or misdemeanor, perhaps?) Is he saying he let Iran get its retaliation out of its system with what he called “a very weak response” to bring an end to hostilities? Perhaps Trump simply was rambling incoherently as he basked in his new “daddy” glow at NATO.

What would have happened if a Democratic president, particularly one named Joe Biden, had said he let a foreign adversary fire on an American military installation? As you consider that hypothetical, keep in mind that House Republicans are currently spending their precious oversight time investigating the former president’s mental acuity.

Flailing Administration Attacks Press for “Lies” About Iran Nuclear Intel

Trump loyalists are taking up his charge to attack any journalist who reported on intelligence contradicting Trump’s claim to have “obliterated” Iran’s nuclear sites in last weekend’s strikes. The tenor of this authoritarian campaign is that reporters are not permitted to contradict the president.

Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth came out swinging against his former Fox News colleague, national security correspondent Jennifer Griffin, in an early morning press conference yesterday. In response to a question from Griffin about whether the Pentagon was certain that Tehran had not moved highly enriched uranium from the Fordow site prior to the American strike, Hegseth lashed out, “Jennifer, you’ve been about the worst, the one who misrepresents the most intentionally what the president says.”

Later in the day, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt went after CNN’s Natasha Bertrand, after Trump had demanded she be “thrown out like a dog.” Leavitt claimed Bertrand is “being used to push a fake narrative to try to undermine the President of the United States and more importantly the brave fighter pilots who conducted one of the most successful operations in United States history.”

CNN issued a statement standing by Bertrand’s reporting.

Meanwhile Senate Democrats remain unconvinced of Trump’s obliteration claims following a classified intelligence briefing yesterday. Trump ally Lindsey Graham (R-SC), who also attended the briefing, struggled to save face for the president, telling reporters afterwards, “The real question is, have we obliterated their desire to have a nuclear weapon.” Graham went on to tread lightly around Trump’s feelings. “I don’t want people to think that the site wasn’t severely damaged or obliterated,” he said. “It was. But having said that, I don’t want people to think the problem is over, because it’s not.”

Republicans Incite Hostility at the Senate Parliamentarian

Following a pattern of dangerous social media attacks on perceived political enemies, some Senate Republicans have begun to assail Elizabeth MacDonough, the nonpartisan Senate Parliamentarian who has struck numerous provisions out of the GOP’s One Big Beautiful Bill. NBC reports:

“The WOKE Senate Parliamentarian, who was appointed by Harry Reid and advised Al Gore, just STRUCK DOWN a provision BANNING illegals from stealing Medicaid from American citizens,” Sen. Tommy Tuberville, R-Ala., wrote on X. “This is a perfect example of why Americans hate THE SWAMP.”

“THE SENATE PARLIAMENTARIAN SHOULD BE FIRED ASAP,” he said.

MacDonough was appointed by then-Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., in 2012, and is well-respected by leaders on both sides of the aisle. But Sen. Roger Marshall, R-Kansas, also said MacDonough needs to go and called for term limits for parliamentarians.

“She’s been here since 2012; she has a lot of power,” Marshall told reporters. “I don’t think anyone should stay here that long and have power where she doesn’t answer to anybody.”

While other Senate Republicans seem less eager for such a fight, their failure to firmly and publicly tamp down these inflammatory statements in the current climate is disheartening, to say the least.
Trump Has Cut Funding for Political Violence and Terrorism Prevention

At Mother Jones, Mark Follman reports on the dangers of Trump’s dismantling of the Center for Prevention Programs and Partnerships (CP3), a Department of Homeland Security initiative tasked with developing evidence-based community programs to prevent political violence and terrorism. The administration has diverted resources from this and other programs to fund Trump’s brutal deportation agenda.

“We’re at real risk of normalizing political violence as a part of our democracy,” CP3’s former director William Braniff told Follman. “[W]hen these norms are accepted at a societal level and encouraged at a political level, they become entrenched and really difficult to reverse.”

The Trump Administration Continues to Turn Civil Rights Upside Down

The Republican goal of eliminating diversity, equity, and inclusion and “gender ideology” is aimed squarely at rolling back hard-won civil rights protections for people who aren’t white, straight, or cisgender. The Trump administration is carrying out this agenda, in part, through investigations and pressure campaigns against educational institutions, threatening to cut their federal funding.

Yesterday, the Office of Civil Rights at the Department of Health and Human Services announced it is investigating the Minnesota Department of Education and the Minnesota State High School League over trans girls playing sports, part of what it says is a “larger initiative to defend women and restore biological truth to the Federal government.”

In another arena, the New York Times reports the Justice Department is pressuring the University of Virginia to fire its president, James Ryan, “over what the department says is the school’s disregard for civil rights law over its diversity practices.” In other words, the Department of Justice, which historically has enforced civil rights laws protecting against race discrimination, is now strong-arming educational institutions it claims have discriminated against white people.

The Tough-on-Crime President Wants More Guns on the Street

The Washington Post reports this morning that staffers from Elon Musk’s so-called Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) are setting up shop at the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives with a “goal of revising or eliminating dozens of rules and gun restrictions by July 4.” DOGE might want to run roughshod over it, but there’s a legal process for amending or ending federal regulations. You can count on litigation over any such efforts, not to mention public outcry.

Put a Pin in This

According to the Associated Press, in a hearing before the Senate Appropriations Committee, Office of Management and Budget Director Russell Vought committed to restoring funding for foreign aid and public broadcasting if the Senate votes down a House-passed “rescissions” package to make billions of dollars in DOGE-led cuts permanent.

Actually, "Big Balls" Never Left

Earlier this week I linked to a piece in Wired, reporting that Edward Coristine, the 19 year-old Department of Government Efficiency staffer also known as Big Balls, no longer worked for the federal government. The New York Times had matched Wired’s reporting, and then, yesterday, issued a correction. Coristine, who before joining DOGE had been fired from a job at a data security firm for leaking company information, is now a “special employee” at the Social Security Administration.

GOP’s New Red Scare Is About Muslims, Particularly Zohran Mamdani

Rep. Andy Ogles (R-TN) sent a letter to Attorney General Pam Bondi, asking her to “denaturalize” and deport New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani, falsely claiming he failed to disclose material support for terrorism prior to becoming a U.S. citizen.

Religious Freedom Is Only for Trump’s Supporters

The House Homeland Security Committee has launched an investigation into hundreds of religious organizations and even entire denominations, claiming they were “involved in providing services or support to inadmissible aliens during the Biden-Harris administration’s historic border crisis.” Ominously, the letter the committee is sending religious organizations includes questions about their federal government funding through grants or contracts, their provision of services to immigrants, and whether they have ever sued the government.

MAGA Terrorists Want Democratic Nominee for NY Governor Denaturalized & Deported

They're on a roll....

The MAGA-GOP cabal don't mind a white communist or socialist or terrorist. They just have a problem when it's a black/brown/non-European communist, socialist or terrorist. Racism "trumps" all other political considerations.

Republicans are calling on Trump to revoke Mamdani’s citizenship and deport him

Some Republicans are calling on Donald Trump’s administration to revoke Zohran Mamdani’s citizenship and deport him from the country as the likely Democratic nominee for New York City’s next mayor endures a torrent of Islamophobic bigotry.

The 33-year-old democratic socialist declared victory in the primary after former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo conceded the race on Tuesday evening.

The New York Young Republican Club reacted to the primary results with a “call to action” on X.

“The radical Zohran Mamdani cannot be allowed to destroy our beloved city of New York,” the group wrote.

The group urged the president to invoke the Red Scare-era Communist Control Act to yank Mamdani’s citizenship and “promptly deport him.”

The club called on White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller and Trump border czar Tom Homan to take action.

“The time for action is now,” the group wrote. “New York is counting on you.”

Following Mamdani’s victory, Miller claimed New York City is the “clearest warning yet of what happens to a society when it fails to control migration.”

“The entire Democrat party is lining up behind the diehard socialist who wants to end all immigration enforcement and abolish the prison system entirely,” he added.

Republican Rep. Andy Ogles of Tennessee referred to Mamdani as “little Muhammad” and said he’s “an antisemitic, socialist, communist who will destroy the great City of New York.”

“He needs to be DEPORTED. Which is why I am calling for him to be subject to denaturalization proceedings,” he added.

Mamdani, who could become the city’s first Muslim and Indian-American mayor, won one of the first major Democratic primaries since the start of Trump’s second stint in the White House. His platform has largely focused on a growing affordability crisis, with plans for universal childcare, free buses, and a freeze on rent increases in rent-controlled units.

The administration baselessly claims Mamdani’s victory is the result of uncontrolled immigration as it pushes a mass deportation agenda.

The NYYRC, founded in 1911, is a political and social club for New York Republicans between the ages of 18 and 40.

Mamdani, born in Uganda in 1991, moved to New York along with his family at the age of seven in 1998 and became a naturalized U.S. citizen two decades later in 2018.

The Communist Control Act was signed into law by President Dwight Eisenhower in 1954 during the Cold War. The legislation outlawed, in theory, the Communist Party in the United States and prohibited communists from attaining certain positions.

But it was rarely enforced and faced a litany of legal challenges as a relic of the McCarthyism era.

Mamdani’s victory had some prominent Republicans cheering on the return of Sen. Joseph McCarthy’s Un-American Activities Committee.

“New York City is on the verge of electing a socialist for mayor,” Sen. Mike Collins wrote. “Might be time to bring back the committee.”

Trump also slammed Mamdani on Truth Social on Wednesday, calling him a “Communist Lunatic.”

Mamdani, joined by New York City comptroller Brad Lander, is set to secure the Democratic nomination for mayor after Andrew Cuomo conceded (AP)

Incumbent New York Mayor Eric Adams is set to run as an independent in November’s general election after he faced corruption charges, which the Department of Justice subsequently dropped. Adams, who has rejected all allegations of wrongdoing, has faced accusations from Democrats of a quid pro quo with the Trump administration to facilitate its immigration agenda.

The group Republicans for Renewal responded to NYYRC’s “call to action,” saying that “communist radical Zohran Mamdani should be remigrated as soon as possible.”

Republican New York councilwoman Vickie Paladini wrote on June 2 that it would be “insane” for voters to elect someone who hasn’t been a citizen for more than 10 years, “much less a radical leftist who actually hates everything about the country and is here specifically to undermine everything we've ever been about.

“Deport,” she said.

A spokesperson for the councilwoman subsequently added that she “stands by this statement” and accused the state assemblyman of being eligible for removal from the country “due to his involvement in multiple antisemitic and far-left organizations in college,” according to Newsweek.

Mamdani has repeatedly rejected allegations of antisemitism against him and has denounced rising acts of antisemitic abuse.

He struck back at Paladino, writing that like nearly 40 percent of New Yorkers, “I wasn’t born in this country.”

“I moved here at age 7. It's my home. And I’m proud to be a citizen, which means standing up for our Constitution,” he added. “Council member Paladino might consider reading it.”

Veteran or not, If you're not White you're Fair Game for ICE and Trump Deportation

Trump wants only straight white inbred and brainwashed imbeciles in the US, in the country at large as well as in the US armed forces, the administration etc... If he could, he'd BLEACH the country with Chlorox to remove any color from it: Only white anglo-saxon protestants of European descent, who stopped evolving into higher primates when they landed on Amerindian land in the 17th century, should remain and run the country.

Doesn't matter if you prostituted yourself to "serve" in the US armed forces, if you believed the bullshit about patriotism, service, sacrifice and all that jazz. Bob Dylan said it best: Join the army if you fail. And Donald Dumb seconded Dylan when he said that veterans are "losers and suckers".

If you don't "look" white enough, you're fired from this country.

Purple Heart Veteran Self-Deports With ICE Breathing Down His Neck
Josh Fiallo
Thu, June 26, 2025

X
A Purple Heart recipient who was shot twice while serving in the Army has self-deported to South Korea after Immigration and Customs Enforcement threatened him with arrest.

Sae Joon Park, 55, moved to the United States at the age of seven and joined the Army at 19, deploying to Panama to help topple Manuel Noriega’s regime in 1989. He told Hawaii News Now he narrowly avoided becoming paralyzed after an enemy bullet struck a dog tag near his spine.

Now, President Donald Trump’s migrant crackdown has forced him to abandon his two children and move back to his country of birth, where he has not lived in over four decades.

Park said he self-deported because immigration officials told him this month that his deferred action, which granted him legal status, had abruptly ended. He said officials ordered him to put on an ankle monitor and gave him three weeks to leave the country. If he did not comply, he was threatened with arrest, ICE detention, and a much less pleasant deportation flight to South Korea.

The veteran said he and his family were shocked. He had been peacefully living in Hawaii, having turned his life around after struggling with drug abuse upon his return from combat. He told Hawaii News Now he was suffering from severe, untreated post-traumatic stress disorder, or PTSD, at the time.

Park explained that he turned to marijuana to cope with nightmares and sensitivity to loud noises. However, after moving to Hawaii in 1995, he became addicted to crack cocaine and struggled to get clean. He was convicted of drug and bail offenses in 2009, spending two and a half years in prison.

The conviction caused him to lose his green card, and ICE moved to deport him to South Korea upon his release. However, his lawyers pleaded for an immigration judge to give him a chance at redemption, citing his military service, Purple Heart, and honorable discharge. A judge ultimately granted him protection from deportation, but required him to stay sober and check in with immigration officials annually.

Park said he complied with the required checks, but everything changed at his latest meeting with immigration officials this month. That is when he was ordered to leave the country or risk being arrested and held in an ICE facility indefinitely.

Fearing the worst, Park said he decided to leave behind his children, who are in their 20s, as well as his parents, who are in their 80s. He hugged them and told them goodbye at Honolulu’s airport, unsure when he would see them again.

“These last 14 years have been great, like really proud of myself, proud of my kids, how I’ve been acting and how I’ve been living my life,” he told Hawaii News Now.

The thought of missing significant life events is crushing, he said.

“Let’s say [my daughter] gets married, I won’t be there,” he said. “Let’s say my parents pass away, I won’t be there. You know, so many things that I’ll be missing. And for sure, things are going to happen, I just can’t be there, which is heartbreaking.”

Department of Homeland Security Spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin confirmed in a statement that Park’s removal is tied to the 16-year-old drug charge that has already been adjudicated. However, she also accused him of “possessing, manufacturing, or selling a dangerous weapon” as well as for “carrying a loaded firearm in a public place.”

“President Trump and Secretary Noem have been clear: Criminal illegal aliens are not welcome in the U.S.,” McLaughlin said. “If you come to our country and break our laws, we will find you, arrest you, and deport you. That’s a promise.”

Park acknowledged that he broke the law in his interview with Hawaii News Now. Still, he thinks this sort of punishment, over a decade later, is overkill.

“I get it,” he said. “I broke the law and everything, but I think this is a little severe what they’re doing to me after I paid my dues, after I did my time for the offense that I did. I thought I was doing my part to do whatever I have to do to be a good citizen and do everything right to stay in this country.”

Iranian woman, who has lived in US for 47 years, taken by ICE while gardening
Marina Dunbar
Fri, June 27, 2025

A 64-year-old Iranian woman, who has lived in the US for 47 years, was detained by immigration agents on Sunday morning while gardening outside her home in New Orleans.

According to a witness, plainclothes officers in unmarked vehicles handcuffed Madonna “Donna” Kashanian and transported her to a Mississippi jail before transferring her to the South Louisiana ICE processing center in Basile, reports Nola.

Kashanian arrived in the US in 1978 on a student visa and later applied for asylum, citing fears of persecution due to her father’s ties to the US-backed Shah of Iran. Her asylum request was ultimately denied, but she was granted a stay of removal on the condition she comply with immigration requirements, a condition her family says she always met.

She has no criminal record but remains in ICE custody.

The timing of Kashanian’s detention came just hours after US airstrikes in Iran. Federal officials did not comment on her specific case, though the DHS released a statement highlighting the arrests of 11 Iranians nationwide over the weekend, according to Nola.

Kashanian had moved to New Orleans as a teenager and built a life over four decades. She often shared Persian recipes on YouTube and was active in her daughter’s schools.

Her family said Kashanian had long feared deportation, especially after Trump’s election. Neighbors told Nola that Kashanian’s arrest lasted less than a minute. Later that day, she briefly called her family during processing. The family didn’t hear from her again until Tuesday.

Since then, her husband and daughter have been scrambling to find legal help, a challenging task due to the high number of detainees and limited immigration attorneys in Louisiana.

ICE also arrested two Iranian LSU students in Baton Rouge at their off-campus apartment earlier this week. Last week, ICE announced that they arrested 84 people during a raid at a south-west Louisiana racetrack. Of the 84, ICE said “at least two” had criminal records.

Statistics from early June, previously reported on by the Guardian, demonstrated an 807% increase in arrests of people without criminal histories since before Donald Trump’s second inauguration this January. Data suggests ICE is holding about 59,000 detainees in facilities across the country.

Dumb White Alabaman just Discovered that the Messiah Trump Lied to her

Problem with dumb assholes like this Alabama woman is that they heard Trump and believed him during his campaign. That is how stupid they are.

Then, when Trump began his real program - which has nothing to do with his campaign lies - she still didn't care that people with "brown" skin were being hunted by racist ICE in the streets, hospitals, factories, and schools of America. But when her own "brown-skinned" husband was rectally examined by ICE and Trump, she was hit personally. Up to that point she didn't care, and that is typical of egocentric Americans who discover "activism" only after their own child has been harmed.

Her complaining is not empathy, it is selfish nagging. Empathy means that you should feel concerned when others are being raped, and before it's your turn to be raped. But most Americans have no idea what is going on in their country; they continue their superficial consumer lifestyle to which they have been well trained: Live, borrow, consume, spend your life in debt and do not bother with politics: it's not your business to worry about others who live in this country. As long as Donald Dumb's rape of America doesn't affect them personally, they remain indifferent, and when voting time comes, they will listen to the most asburd and criminal language of the radical right, and believe it because it "sounds" right.

Now that her Iranian-born husband is going through the Trump-MAGA-ICE ringer, the woman from Alabama has decided to speak out. Too late. Americans should be taught this poem (post the Holocaust perpetrated by Trump's European white conservative ancestors against everyone else) instead of reciting the stupid pledge of allegiance:

First they came for the Communists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Communist

Then they came for the Socialists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Socialist

Then they came for the trade unionists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a trade unionist

Then they came for the homosexuals
And I did not speak out
Because I was not homosexual

Then they came for the Jews
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Jew

Then they came for the Gypsies
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Gyspsy

Then they came for me
And there was no one left
To speak out for me

Adapted to our current Trump Nazi regime:

First they came for the Blacks
And I did not speak out
Because I was not Black (my neighbor was)

Then they came for the Mexicans
And I did not speak out
Because I was not Mexican (my employee was)

Then they came for the Arabs
And I did not speak out
Because I was not an Arab (my teacher was)

Then they came for the Palestinians
And I did not speak out
Because I was not Palestinian (my husband was)

Then they came for the Latinos
And I did not speak out
Because I was not Latino (my lawyer was)

Then they came for the immigrants
And I did not speak out
Because I was not an immigrant (my mother was)

Then they came for the foreign students
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a foreign student (my father was)

Then they came for me
And there was no one left
To speak out for me

A Pregnant Alabama Woman Says She And Her Trump-Supporting Husband Were "Blindsided" When ICE Detained Him
Pocharapon Neammanee
Fri, June 27, 2025

An Alabama woman married to an Iranian immigrant says her family regrets supporting President Donald Trump and his aggressive immigration policies after ICE detained her husband over the weekend as part of a recent round-up of Iranian nationals.

Morgan Gardner / Via theknot.com

“We believed in his [Trump’s] immigration policies and were completely blindsided and truly believed that only criminals were being detained,” Morgan Gardner told Newsweek.

Gardner’s husband, Ribvar Karimi, was one of 11 Iranian nationals arrested Sunday and taken into the custody of US Immigration and Customs Enforcement. The Department of Homeland Security claimed the arrests reflect its “commitment to keeping known and suspected terrorists out of American communities.”

DHS has painted Karimi as a threat to national security, saying he served as a sniper in the Iranian army from 2018 to 2021 and had an Islamic Republic of Iran army identification card.

Military service is compulsory in Iran for all men aged 18–49. Draft evaders face prosecution and may lose their social benefits and civil rights, including employment, education, and the ability to leave the country. Deserters face imprisonment.

“We have been saying we are getting the worst of the worst out—and we are. We don’t wait until a military operation to execute; we proactively deliver on President Trump’s mandate to secure the homeland,” DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said in a statement.

Gardner told CBS affiliate WIAT that her husband “never fought any American forces or our allies,” and said “he actually fought ISIS himself and was captured at one point” during his service.

According to the couple’s wedding website, they first met online playing the video game Call of Duty: Mobile.

“He brought happiness back to me, and taught me what it is like to be loved correctly,” Gardner wrote on the site. “He encouraged me, and still encourages me each and every day. He sees the best in me, and never has given up, despite how difficult I can be sometimes.”

Gardner’s cousin Cyndi Edwards wrote in a GoFundMe set up to offset legal fees that the couple spent years “meeting in Turkey while navigating the complex immigration process.”

“Ribvar quickly became a beloved member of Morgan’s rural Alabama community, supporting her family and friends, and caring for Morgan’s father during a health crisis,” Edwards wrote. “Most importantly, Ribvar helped Morgan find her self-worth and guided her toward a healthier, happier life.”

Morgan Gardner / Via gofundme.com

DHS said Karimi entered the US legally in October 2024 under a K-1 marriage visa reserved for people engaged to American citizens. However, he never adjusted his status, which is a legal requirement, and not doing so can trigger a removal order.

Gardner told WIAT that her attorney said previous administrations would not have let her husband be taken away and that he should have been protected because he is married to a US citizen. She added that she and Karimi put his green card application on hold after she found out she was pregnant and had pregnancy complications.

“I understand that they’ve got a job to do, immigration, but I just feel like he was specifically targeted because of what’s going on where he’s from, his home country,” Gardner told WIAT.

Gardner is seven months pregnant, but remains hopeful that her husband will be with her when she gives birth.

“My heart is broken,” Gardner told the outlet. “Our baby shower is going to be next weekend, and he’s not going to be at home to go to that with me.”

Giving birth alone is not Gardner’s only fear. She told Newsweek that Karimi’s family worries that if he were to be deported back to Iran, the government would kill him due to his open support for the US and opposition to the Iranian regime.

“My husband himself, even being from Iran, supported Trump, his immigration policies, and understood he was trying to protect the American people and was praying he helped free the Iranian people,” Gardner told Newsweek.

While Morgan told the outlet she did not vote in the previous presidential election, her family has supported Trump in the past and now feels betrayed.

“Everyone feels like a fool and regrets the decision. I personally didn’t vote in the last election, and neither did my parents. At this point, I believe there are bad people on the left and the right,” Gardner said.

First Bimbo Melania Migrated to US on an "Einstein Visa": A "Model with Extraordinary Ability"

Melania rarely speaks, and when she does no one is impressed. She is the dumbest First Lady in the history of the US, if only for marrying the Moron-in-Chief. In the "Deal-Making Kingdom of the Dumb", she married the ass for his money, while he married the ass. It wouldn't be far-fetched to imagine that she will divorce him as soon as they both exit the White Outhouse and return to her native Slovenia.

Democrat Opposition leader, Representative Jasmine Crockett, who is a very smart black african american from Texas, has exposed Melania Trump's immigration cheat. As a result, the mangy MAGA hounds came out barking, but Crockett smashes the dumb white racist idiots of MAGA. She is one of the most courageous Democrats in Congress these days.

Having lived in the US for decades during which the tenor of the conversation between Republicans and Democrats remained within the bounds of decorum and polite disagreement, I remember the sudden outburst of open white racism when Barack Obama was elected President, TWICE IN A ROW, and without a seditious insurrection to topple the US government. The language used by the white racist pigs was shocking and made me take stock of how deep white racism and slavery mindset remain entrenched in the white population of the US. It seemed that the cockroaches from deep down south who were pushed down the sewers of America suddenly were emerging out of every white toilet and manhole. That is when I discovered that 16th century America is still alive. Simultaneously, Donald Dumb burst on the scene with a verbal racist diahrrea about how Sikhs were cheering the 9-11 attacks in New York City and how Obama wasn't even born in the US....

They hated Obama so much because of the color of his skin, he who is half white, half black. Imagine if he had no crappy dumb white genes but only black african ones: They would have crucified him, or consistent with their history, they would've lynched him. Funny thing about American racists: Even if you have 1% black African blood in you, you're still considered black. The purity of American white dumbness cannot be compromised by any smart gene input from people with dark skin.

Here comes Jasmine Crockett, a very smart and articulate African American woman from Texas. She's been giving her middle finger to Trump and his MAGA herd of morons, and they don't like it. One of their favorite "smearing" tool is, like their master criminal felon Donald Dumb, to label black women as "low IQ". Not only is this stupidly racist, but it somewhat foots the saying of "the pot calling the kettle black." You have the dumbest imbecile racist pigs parading themselves on Fox News as supreme asslickers of the Dictator, all white of course, mocking Jasmine Crockett because she is a black woman.

Having descended from the trees as lower primates whose parents and grandparents owned black slaves, they have a very difficult time divorcing their sparsely populated skulls from the notion that they are superior because they are white, like God of course. So racism continues to run in their veins and in their DNA, despite attempts at educating them and lifting them from the swamps of the Jurassic.

Jasmine Crockett's Quip About Melania Trump Spurred Wildly Racist Attacks — And It's Alarming
Kimberley Richards
Fri, June 27, 2025

[All of the five stooges on Fox are white. On the door to the studio, it says "not for colored people".]

Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas) made comments about First Lady Melania Trump’s immigration history during a hearing on Capitol Hill on Wednesday — and it’s since spurred disturbing racist attacks online.

During a House Committee on the Judiciary hearing, Crockett slammed President Donald Trump’s immigration policies and the mass raids by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents. She also questioned the legitimacy of the intended focus of Wednesday’s hearing, which was titled “Restoring Integrity and Security to the Visa Process.”

“The idea that Trump and my Republican colleagues want to restore integrity and security in the visa process is actually a joke,” she said, adding, “Integrity is not revoking visas based on social media posts that hurts somebody’s little feelings.”

Crockett then pivoted to the first lady, charging that there’s been a “lack of integrity when it comes to the president’s family’s visas.”

“Let me remind y’all that Melania, the first lady — a model, and when I say model, I’m not talking about Tyra Banks, Cindy Crawford or Naomi Campbell-level — applied for and was given an EB-1 visa.”

Crockett then said that in order to obtain an EB-1 visa, also known as the “Einstein visa,” you’re supposed to have “some sort of significant achievement, like being awarded a Nobel Peace Prize or a Pulitzer,” she said, before listing off other examples of accolades.

“Last time I checked, the first lady had none of those accolades under her belt,” Crockett said. “It doesn’t take an Einstein to see that the math ain’t math-ing here.”

Much of the right-wing attacks against Crockett on social media in response went beyond any criticism surrounding her opinions about the first lady — many comments about the congresswoman resorted to vile, racist and stereotypical attacks.

People [racist white MAGA idiots] on X, formerly Twitter, called Crockett “ghetto trash,” and “low IQ.” Other X users made offensive remarks about the way she speaks.

Deepak Sarma, an inaugural distinguished scholar in the public humanities at Case Western Reserve University, told HuffPost that Crockett’s remarks at Wednesday’s hearing were “merely pointing out the hypocrisy that is a fundamental part of the GOP/ MAGA’s position and platform.”

“Interestingly it seems structurally like the belief in American exceptionalism, except here, exceptionalism is achieved by merely being born ‘white,’” they said. “Rules apply to others but not to the privileged.”

The requirement for the EB-1 visa currently listed on the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services website states that it’s reserved for “priority workers,” including those with “extraordinary ability in the sciences, arts, education, business, or athletics.” Back in 2018, The Washington Post published a report saying that Melania Trump, who first came to the U.S. in the mid-1990s and became a citizen in 2006, received the EB-1 visa in 2001.

In 2016, an attorney for the first lady wrote in a letter at the time, per The Associated Press, that she applied for a green card in 2000 by self-sponsoring herself as a model of “extraordinary ability,” [Hahahahhaaa! I wonder what exactly are these abilities that a dumb European blonde bimbo might contribute to these United States]. She received the green card in 2001.

Crockett has long faced racist and anti-Black attacks online. She’s also often ridiculed for the way she speaks, her cadence, or her use of African American Vernacular English (AAVE).

In April, Fox News host Laura Ingraham referred to the representative as “street,” while swaying her head side-to-side, during a TV segment of “The Ingraham Angle.”

Sarma said that the online attacks at Crockett following Wednesday’s hearing ironically “emerges from a place of tremendous insecurity and low self-esteem.”

By attacking Rep. Crockett in racist ways, they confirm their impotence and incompetence,” they said. “They are aware of their hypocrisy, and Crockett exposes them deftly and without reservation. Her blunt comment threatens their delusions and their fantasy of white superiority and exceptionalism. Coming from a person who they deem to be lower on their racial and ethnic hierarchy makes her words sting even more.”

“That Crockett offers her insightful/inciteful criticism in African American Vernacular English is further cause for the implosion of their racial constructions,” they added.

“I bet they won’t say these inexcusably nasty things to Rep. Crockett’s face,” said Shaun Harper, a professor of education, business and public policy at the University of Southern California.

“I am sure that Rep. Crockett ignores these cowards because she is smart enough to distinguish hate and racism from helpful, reasonably critical feedback,” he later continued, before adding, “Rep. Crockett is one of the most courageous Democrats in Congress. This exposes her to online abuse at the intersection of race and gender. So far, it has not broken her. I am confident that it never will.”

Harper, in fact, knows all too well what it’s like being on the receiving end of hateful online attacks.

Coincidentally, Harper was also on Capitol Hill on Wednesday. He was testifying about the importance of initiatives, trainings and programs that center diversity, equity and inclusion.

Within 24 hours, he received emails and social media posts with people calling him a slew of racist and homophobic slurs, including the N-word and “f*ggot.”

Wednesday was the fourth time Harper had testified before Congress — and he’s experienced these kinds of attacks each time, he said.

Speaking about the attacks on Crockett and the current political climate, Sarma later emphasized that the “current state of affairs is toxic.”

“It is hard not to ignore it, stop reading the news, and succumb to futility,” they said. “This, of course, is the intention of MAGA. Their racism is becoming more brazen and more blatant.”

They Kill Canadians Too

Canadian citizen dies at Florida ICE detention facility
Oliver O'Connell
Thu, June 26, 2025

A Canadian citizen detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has died in custody while awaiting removal from the U.S.

Johnny Noviello, 49, was pronounced dead by the Miami Fire Rescue Department on June 23 at 1:36 p.m.

He was found nonresponsive by staff at the Bureau of Prisons Federal Detention Center approximately 40 minutes earlier, and CPR was administered as well as an external defibrillator, while emergency services were called.

The cause of death is still under investigation.

According to ICE, Noviello entered the U.S. on January 2, 1988, with a valid visa, and became a lawful permanent resident, or green card holder, on October 24, 1991.

There have been nearly a dozen deaths in ICE custody since October (Getty)

On October 12, 2023, he was convicted in Volusia County, Florida, for racketeering, trafficking in Oxycodone, trafficking in illegal drugs, trafficking in Hydrocodone, and “unlawful use of a two-way communication device to facilitate the commission of a crime.”

Noviello was sentenced to 12 months in prison.

On May 15, 2025, he was arrested by ICE at the Florida Department of Corrections Probation office, issued a notice to appear, and charged with removability, having been convicted of drug charges “as a non-immigrant overstay.”

Under President Donald Trump’s hardline immigration policies, ICE has been ordered to swiftly deport migrants who have been charged or convicted of serious crimes, particularly drug charges, assault, and murder.

However, of the estimated 185,000 people detained between October 1, 2024, and May 31, 2025, just one-third have a criminal conviction; however, 75 percent of that group have convictions for non-serious crimes, such as traffic offenses, according to a data analysis by The Independent. Just eight percent of the people ICE detained during that period were convicted of a serious crime.

Johnny Noviello, a Canadian citizen, died in ICE custody in Florida (Volusia County)

Following Noviello’s death, in accordance with policy, ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations division notified the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the Office of the Inspector General, and the ICE Office of Professional Responsibility through the Integrity Coordination Center.

ERO also notified the Canadian Consulate by phone. The Independent has contacted the consulate in Miami for comment.

In May, acting director of ICE Todd Lyons testified that the agency is “dedicated to transparency” during an appearance before the Appropriations Subcommittee on Department of Homeland Security.

It is believed that Noviello is the eighth person to die in ICE custody in 2025 or the eleventh in the current reporting period, beginning in October 2024.

According to data published by ICE, on average between 2018 and 2024, eight people per year died in ICE custody, with a notable spike in 2020 during the Covid-19 pandemic. Taking that year as an anomaly, the average is nearer six deaths per year.

Democrats in Congress have accused the agency of being slow to report deaths in detention.

Pressing Lyons over conditions in ICE detention centers, Rep. Veronica Escobar, Democrat of Texas, said they were “abysmal” and “tantamount to human rights abuses.”

US is Now like Nazi Germany, Communist China: Pledge Allegiance or Else

Compliance, conformity, obedience... have become the hallmarks of a decaying American democracy. You must write letters praising the Big Brother Dear Leader Donald Trump, you must not make critical comments regarding the Big Brother's policies, children are brainwashed into reciting the Pledge of Allegiance every morning .... This is life in Communist China, in Communist North Korea... This was life under Hitler's Nazi Germany.

Trump wants all Americans to conform and comply and never ask questions. Reporters are insulted every day at the White Outhouse by Trump lashing out at them if they dare ask questions he doesn't like to answer. He typically reacts to these questions by labeling the reporter stupid, low IQ, and other insults. Many reporters have been in fact banned from said White Outhouse because they dare ask such questions that offends the Big Brother Dear Leader.

Sociologists and psychologists for decades have studied the mystery behind how tens of millions of Germans fell into strict obedience and compliance with Hitler's criminality. They need not go far to examine the same phenomenon in the US today: The American people have mysteriously abandoned their self-proclaimed love for liberty and democracy and their disdain for dictators, and have fallen for Trump's Fascist bullshit.

No decent democractic advanced country forces its schoolchildren to recite a so-called "pledge of allegiance" every morning. Religious schools do that by forcing children to recite prayers before school starts. In the United Arab Emirates - the so-called allies of the US - where the population is 80% foreigners who actually run the country for the barbarian natives, non-UAE, non-Muslim children are forced to recite the UAE Islamic pledge of allegiance in their own private schools every morning. No wonder there is affinity between those barbarians and their American allies.

In the story below, notice the teacher's comment: "Since you live in this country and enjoy its freedom, if you don’t like it, you should go back to your country".  According to this Fascist way of thinking, living in any country imposes on you to express your submission to its government because that government is "granting" you the favor of freedom. Also, the schoolgirl in question is Palestinian: She has no country to go back to because the USrael is making sure that Palestine is completely erased from history, geography, and the roster of nations.

I've heard that phrase - "if you don't like it, you should go back to your country" - so many times uttered by Americans who themselves or their own parents or grandparents fled countries that demanded they pledge allegiance to a king, a despot, a monarch or a dictator. Those same Americans whose undocumented grandparents and great grandparents invaded without being invited, pilfered, mass murdered, raped and exterminated the indigenous populations of the American continent north and south.

Palestinian student sues Michigan school over teacher's reaction to her refusal to stand for Pledge

In this screengrab made from video provided by WXYZ-TV, Danielle Khalaf, who said she was humiliated by her teacher after declining to stand for the Pledge of Allegiance in protest of U.S. support of Israel against Palestinians, appears at a news conference on Feb. 27, 2025, in Detroit. DETROIT (AP) — The American Civil Liberties Union filed a lawsuit Wednesday on behalf of a 14-year-old student who said a teacher humiliated her for refusing to stand for the Pledge of Allegiance in protest of U.S. support of Israel's war in Gaza.

Danielle Khalaf's teacher told her, “Since you live in this country and enjoy its freedom, if you don’t like it, you should go back to your country,” according to the lawsuit.

Danielle, whose family is of Palestinian descent, declined to recite the Pledge over three days in January.

“We can only marvel at the conviction and incredible courage it took for her to follow her conscience and her heart,” ACLU attorney Mark Fancher said.

The lawsuit says her teacher admonished her and told her she was being disrespectful.

As a result, Danielle “suffered extensive emotional and social injuries,” including nightmares, stress and strained friendships, the lawsuit says.

The ACLU and the Arab American Civil Rights League said Danielle's First Amendment rights were violated, and the lawsuit seeks a financial award.

“It was traumatizing, it hurt and I know she could do that to other people,” Danielle said at a news conference in February, referring to the teacher's treatment.

At that time, the school district said it had taken “appropriate action,” though it didn't elaborate.

“Discrimination in any form is not tolerated by Plymouth-Canton Community Schools and is taken very seriously,” the district said.

The school district declined Wednesday to comment further, citing the litigation.

Michigan has more than 300,000 residents of Middle Eastern or North African descent, second in the U.S. behind California, according to the Census Bureau.

Stephen Miller has Millions Invested in Anti-Immigrant ICE Contractor Palantir Co.

The Nazi Zionist Trump adviser Stephen Miller has millions invested in Palantir, a company that provides tools for ICE (U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement), Trump's Gestapo police force. The more ICE makes arrests and deportations, the more Palantir sells stuff to ICE, the higher Palantir's stock value rises, and the more Miller makes money on the stock trades.

This explains in part the incestious relationship between Trump administration officials and the policies they enforce. Just like Trump's yoyo tariff gyrations are deliberately engineered by the Criminal-in-Chief to make profits for himself, his family and his MAGA billionaires (https://lebanoniznogood.blogspot.com/2025/06/example-of-maga-congressmen-profiting.html), Miller's goal of deporting 3,000 immigrants per day is indeed a calculated benchmark for him to rake millions of dollars in the stock market. Conflicts of interest? Insider trading? You name it, Trump's MAGA criminals are in full swing.

Trump Advisor Stephen Miller Reportedly Holds Stake Worth Millions In ICE Contractor Palantir: 'He Could Easily...Have A Direct And Predictable Impact'

Trump Advisor Stephen Miller

The White House’s deputy chief of staff, Stephen Miller, known for shaping the Trump administration’s stringent immigration policies, reportedly owns a significant amount of stock in ICE contractor Palantir Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ:PLTR).

What Happened: Miller’s financial disclosures reportedly indicate that he holds up to $250,000 worth of shares in Palantir, a company that plays a crucial role in the operations of U.S. immigration officials. The investment is held in a brokerage account belonging to one of Miller’s children, raising concerns about potential conflicts of interest. The financial filings were obtained by the watchdog group Project on Government Oversight, which revealed the revisions as recent as June 4.

Since the Obama era, Palantir's technology has enabled ICE to consolidate data sources to more effectively identify immigrants for arrest and deportation, with ICE calling its services "Mission Critical."

The investigation also found 11 other officials with Palantir stock holdings, though none as substantial as Miller's, the report said. Don Fox, a former acting head and former general counsel of the Office of Government Ethics, told the watchdog, "He could easily become involved in policy matters that have a direct and predictable impact on Palantir.”

Meanwhile, Homeland Security spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin dismissed the report as "very silly,” reported The Independent, while the White House said Miller has assured ethics officials he will continue to recuse himself from any matters that could affect his stock holdings.

The White House did not immediately respond to Benzinga’s request for comment.

Why It Matters: In April, Palantir secured nearly a $30 million contract with the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to enhance its immigration enforcement tools, focusing on tracking visa overstays and self-deportations through a system called ImmigrationOS. This deal was an expansion of an existing agreement.

Palantir has also been under scrutiny for its role in the Trump administration’s immigration policies. In June, the company rejected allegations of mass surveillance and compared the criticism to collaboration with Nazi Germany and South Africa’s apartheid regime. The company has been vocal about its commitment to transparency and ethical data use.

Palantir has had a very successful run on Wall Street this year. On a year-to-date basis, the stock surged 90.49%, while over the past year, it gained 483.18%, as per Benzinga Pro.
