The Prime Minister of the failed state of Lebanon has finally admitted one of many truths about this country: Abysmal incompetence. He stated unequivocally in an interview that the country "has entered the Guinness book of wasting opportunities".
While this is a huge understatement, it nonetheless is quite refreshing since he - the leader of the country (since the President - the Syrian collaborator army general Michel Sleiman is a castrated puppet dummy without any powers) - is a billionaire Sunni Muslim asshole whose predecessors have themselves ruined the prosperous democratic Lebanon that existed prior to 1975 by selling it to Yasser Arafat's PLO and the fucking Saudis, Kuwaitis and Syrians.
Lebanon has beaten the records of not only missed opportunities, but also of:
- rampant corruption in the state's administrations,
- theft of public funds by politicians,
- fragmentation along religious lines,
- mercenary politicians working for outside countries against their own country's interests,
- pollution, health hazards, and environmental ruin,
- economic disparities in wealth distribution
- poverty, unemployment, emigration
- illegal weapons in the hands of ordinary people and terrorist organizations (both domestic, like Hezbollah, and foreign, like the Syrian militias of the Palestinian camps),
- plain outright incompetence in delivering basic services to people like electricity, water, internet, etc.
Lebanon also has evolved a social fabric that is based on primitive religious beliefs that relegate the human condition to divine responsibility, which makes people not take responsibility for their own lives but instead attribute to God, saints, mullahs, patriarchs, and other divine and religious figures the sole capability of changing matters. And so, Lebanon also has beaten the records in:
- the high per-capita production of saints (The Vatican has beatified and canonized over the past three decades more saints in Lebanon than any other country on a per-capita basis).
- discrimination against women,
- rampant racism and discrimination against foreign workers who are abused and treated like cattle (there are 300,000 foreign maids in Lebanon for a population of 3.5 million),
- a disgusting consumerism in which the few wealthy Lebanese parade their "success" by showing off their cars and maids while the street just outside their doors is pure third-world with pollution and garbage,
- lack of any urban planning - Lebanon is one of the ugliest countries. You have to travel way outside the cities to find any real natural beauty,
- no respect for public spaces: no sidewalks, no parks, cars parked everywhere, no public transportation, and public beaches all stolen by developers and politicians who build gigantic resorts right on the water, thus pilfering property that is not theirs, and depriving the general public of access by imposing exorbitant fees. There is one public beach for every 100 private resorts. The Lebanese don;t seem to understand that air and sea are public property that belong to the people. The rest of the world does, but not the stupid Lebanese.
and where the human element in Lebanese society is the least important.
Thank you, PM Miqati for this first step, although made in jest. You should publicly make an act of contrition for all the harm that the Lebanese, particularly the politicians like you, have done to their own country, and begin reversing all the ills described above.

SYRIAN OPPOSITION SHOULD NOT BE HELPED BY INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY
I am appalled at the Syrian opposition's constant calls for intervention by the international community. The Syrian people - long brainwashed by the Baath Party Nazi ideology - have always lamented foreign intervention in Syria. The vast majority of the Syrian opposition are Sunni Muslim fundamentalist assholes who applauded every bomb and every attack around the world (from Iraq and Afghanistan to the Lebanese south) against US, UN, and NATO forces who are trying to help other fucking Muslims establish decent countries and governments.
The entire mindset of the Syrian Nazis - regardless of their tribal or religious or political affiliations - is based on venomous hatred of any past intervention by "foreigners" (aka imperialists, colonialists, crusaders, zionists, etc.).
When uttered by Arab Nationalists (Nazis), the term "foreigners" should be strictly understood as Westerners, and not any foreigners, since no one among the primitive Arabs ever complains about 400 years of Ottoman Turkish occupation (from 1615 to 1918), but they constantly harp at the 20 years between World War I and World War II when Britain and France were given a League of Nations (the forerunner of the UN) mandate to assist the people of this area in determining their future and establishing state institutions after the collapse of the Ottomans.
The reason why the Arabs complain about Western - but not Turkish - intervention is that the Turks are fucking Muslims while the Westerners are secular. Like their fellow Jewish brethren, the Arabs make no distinction between religious and national identity. And stupid Westerners accept this as a natural condition.
This is one reason you hear the assholes of the Syrian opposition fighting the Syrian army's onslaught chanting "Allahu Akbar" الله اكبر God is Great. The only rallying cry these people have to claim wanting to get rid of a dictator is a fundamentalist Islamic cry. How then can you believe their desire to be free as a genuine one?
In Tunisia - now ruled by fundamentalist Muslims after the Tunisian revolution - alcohol is increasingly banned, women are forced to wear the veil, and all the other accoutrements of an Islamic dictatorial theocracy are gradually been implemented in what used to be a secular dictatorship. Egypt is struggling with similar outcomes of its own revolution.
While I believe that this is a natural cycle - replace the existing dictatorships with religious ones - a few years or decades down the line, and the people of these countries will make an adjustment away from radical Islam. Just consider the French revolution. It took 80 years after 1789 for France to become a stable republic with the functioning of a democracy. It went through convulsions of barbaric revolutionary repression, resurgent empires and monarchies, before the dust settled and France became what we know it for today.
Therefore, I argue that the Syrian opposition - basically a Sunni fundamentalist Islamic movement - should not be helped by the international community. Let it fight its own war, and win if it can or lose if it must. If the international community steps in and helps, do not be surprised that the new Syrian government - whatever shape or form it takes - will make a turnabout and become an enemy of the very hands that rescued it. We have a saying in Lebanese: " ربي كلبك يعقر جنبك The dog that bites the hand that feeds it".
Let the Syrians earn their freedom. Let them earn it alone. Let them not owe it to anyone else. Because this is the very essence of becoming truly free. Helping the Syrian opposition now is a recipe for renewed hostility against the West two or three decades hence. The Nazis of the Arab world have never stopped complaining against the Western intervention of the post Ottoman collapse.... Those same Nazis will continue to complain for the next 100 years about any intervention that is made today to help them. They are ingrate haters of the West, no matter what the West does.
Finally, I don;t understand the premise on which is founded the imperative of US and European assistance. Why can't the fucking Saudis, Pakistanis, Egyptians, Indonesians, and other Arab or Muslim countries with vast resources and reservoirs of oil and money step in WITHOUT the US and Europe taking the lead? Why can't they immediately apply military pressure on the Syrian regime by, for example, flying a squadron and bombing strategic control and command targets of the Syrian regime's military? There is no reason whatsoever to believe the apocalyptic scenarios that many prophesy about such an intervention. Why should it be some American or British or French pilot sitting behind the commands of such a bomber to make it a "legitimate" operation in the eyes of the Syrian opposition and the international community?
Let the Syrian opposition fend on its own the vagaries of earning freedom for the Syrian people, and the international community should not feel the urge to intervene, because the Syrian opposition will later blame it and hold it responsible for decades to come.

Where in the World is Robert Fisk?
I wonder where Robert Fisk is these days and what he is saying about his buddies in the Syrian regime? I don't read the cesspool of journalism - otherwise known as the Independent - where Fisk drinks from and pees in, so I have no way of finding how he is mourning his favorite dictator, Bashar Assad.
Over the past several decades, Fisk has often defended the Syrian Nazis by saying that "their country", Syria, was broken apart by French colonialism between 1920 and 1940 (which is a huge fallacy concocted by British colonial powers who were no better and no worse than the French, except that divided every fucking arse of a country the British colonized: India-Pakistan, Palestine-Israel, among many others come to mind...).
Fisk has argued - while doing his charlatan pseudo-journalism from the safety and freedom of Lebanon - that Lebanon was torn off the Greater Syria fuck of an illusion that he so loves, even as he would not dare show his British arse in Damascus, lest his arse ends up impaled on the German Chair of Syrian Intelligence.
Fisk has also argued that the poor Syrians - whose artificial country is on display today, torn as it is between Alawites, Druze, Kurds, Sunnis, Armenians, and other tribes from the Stone Age - lost the Alexandretta District to Turkey because the French - Fisk's worst enemies - tore it off too from his beloved Syria. He actually would argue that Ireland, Scotland, Wales, India, Kenya, and all the former British provinces of his colonial empire, were also torn off his beloved England
In one commentary he wrote in the trashy Independent (March 15, 2008, "Silenced by the Men in White Socks"), he literally begged the men of the Syrian Intelligence - who, he insisted on telling us, as if to demonstrate that his own visual acuity masks a cerebral deficiency, wore white socks - to stop re-arresting Syrian human rights activists they had just released two weeks earlier. His begging took on the tone of a lamenting whine one normally hears in a pigsty, as he pleaded with his poor Syrian victims of French colonialism to stop abusing and arresting their own Syrian human rights activists - "Why – oh why – must this be so? Why did the Syrian secret police have to arrest....", as if they were ruining his orgiastic feast of defending them.
I should re-consider my ban on reading the insipid diarrhea that the Independent usually spews, just to find out what moral contortions is Fisk resorting to in his defense of the poor Arab Baathist National Socialists (i.e. Arab Nazis) who can't find anything better to do with dissidents than to demolish the entire city of Homs over its own people, like they did in Hama in 1981, or Beirut and other Lebanese cities in 1977, 1978, 1979, 1980, 1981, 1982, 1983, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991 before they were kicked out like filthy dogs by the Lebanese.
I wish there is a Lebanese somewhere in Beirut where Fisk usually hides his hide who can show Fisk some Fist in the Face and ask him politely to deport himself back to his shitty island, and retire by helping in the building of the future Islamic Republic of Britain. He has done enough harm to Lebanon, and offended so many Lebanese, by espousing the ideas of the Syrian Arab Nazis that reduce the several thousand years old biblical and Phoenician nation of Lebanon to a renegade province of some refuse country called Syria that was clobbered together from disparate desert cities by British colonialists. Much more than the French, and long before the French set their feet in the area, today's map of the Middle East was drawn up by British Colonial Foreign Office bureaucrats.

The "Democracy" of Lebanon
1. Prime Minister Najib Miqati of this dysfunctional arse of a country called Lebanon is now - like many of his predecessor Sunni fucker prime ministers - sulking. He said that he will no longer convene his cabinet until "acts of obstruction" stop. Reason: One of his ministers does not want sign on a law that he feels is "illegal".
You would think that a "democratic" country, there are rules of procedure to resolve problems like this. Either the minister in question resigns, or the cabinet resigns, or Parliament convenes on a vote of confidence, or the matter is referred to some judicial body, etc... But not in Lebanon. Why? Because Lebanon's democracy is a charade. It's a lie. It's a farce. It's a wannabe democracy. It's a theocracy of feudal middle ages vintage parading as a modern republic.
Lebanon is ruled by dinosaurs like Patriarch Beshara Rai of the Moronite Church, or the Sheikh Al-Aqel of the Druze Cult, or the Iranian Mullah of the Shia Islamic Council, etc.. There are 18 religious cults that the Lebanese so-called constitution recognizes, and these cults run the country behind a facade of secular-looking puppet politicians beholden to the dinosaur in charge of the cult. Let's say you are a Christian politician of the moronic Maronite brand, and let's say you want to run for election. If your political positions are not approved by the bearded smelly Patriarch of the Moronite Church, then you'd have an uphill battle to get elected. How? Because the bearded smelly Patriarch tells his army of bishops, priests, and nuns to launch a campaign of smears against the politician in the hundreds of schools and churches attended by a captive Moronite population, largely composed of mountain peasant brutes who will believe anything coming out of the mouth of the religious militiaclergy. Same thing exactly in the Sunni cult, the Shiite cult, and so on all the way down to the littlest of the 18 religious cults that make up this "Democracy" of Lebanon.
2. Hassan Nasrallah - the bearded smelly leader of the terrorist gang of Hezbollah - has a similar hold on the Shiite community. He has dragged his million plus Shiite idiots into endless wars and displacement, simply because his God and his boss the Ayatollah in Iran tell him he has to annihilate the Jews in nearby Israel and create an Islamic republic in Lebanon a la Iran. Lovely, isn;t it? Hassan maintains an illegal militia against the will of the other Lebanese, and he gets funded by Iran and armed by the Syrian "Secular" Baathists in Damascus.
Now things are not going well in Syria, as the "secular" Arab Nazi fuhrer there, the giraffe-looking Bashar Assad, is about to lose his brutal control of the country. If his ass is fried like Qaddafi's ass was fried in Libya, then Bashar will have to pack (if he can escape the wrath of his people) his belongings, including the billions he has stashed in his Swiss Bank accounts, and his entire court of wife, children, associates, courtiers, ass-kissers and such, and leave the country.
That scenario is making Hassan Quixote Nasrallah - as we say here in the highlands of Lebanon - shit potatoes. He is terrified that his illustrious career of country-wrecker, mass-killer, bomb-maker-blowupper, God-worshipper, traitor and mercenary will come to an end, and that he too will have to pack and move to Iran (where he actually belongs). So he and his cohorts are defending the Syrian tyrant. They, these shiite religious dinosaurs, have joined with the Atheists and Communists of Russia and China in defense of the "secular"-but-kind-of-Muslim Arab-nationalist Alawite regime of the Assads.What a bunch.

Syria on Fire: CHEERS and Many Happy Returns. May the Syrian Civil War Last 50 years.
The Lebanese War from 1968 through 2012.. and still ongoing... was all engineered by Syria. First, the Syrian Baath Nazi Party - and I mean NAZI because the party's ideology is National Socialism, which was abbreviated by Hitler's Germany to NaZi - imported Yasser Arafat's Palestine Liberation Khara Organization from Damascus, then from Amman after King Hussein crushed it in 1970, to Beirut.
Then the Syrians created about a dozen other Palestinian terror organizations, not to help with the supposed liberation of fucking Palestine, but only to undermine Arafat and keep the Palestinians divided and dependent on Syria. These other organizations had names such as: Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine, the Yarmouk Brigades, the Saika, the Assifa, the Palestine Liberation Army, George Habash's General Command splinter from the PFLP, etc.
Then the Syrians exploited the stupid Shiites of the Lebanese south who were getting beaten up by the Israelis when the latter retaliated to the Palestinians firing of rockets across the Lebanese border. They created Amal (today led by the imbecile billionaire Nabih Berri who was a used card dealer in Detroit, Michigan, but then was lured back to Lebanon by the Syrians to undermine the religious Iranian asshole Moussa Al-Sadr who was also trying to undermine the Lebanese State after arriving from Iran and settling in Lebanon. Good thing that Qaddafi killed him. Other Shiite shithead organizations that Syria created were: The Movement of the Oppressed of the Earth, Fityan Ali (Ali's Boys) who used to kidnap any non-Muslim (foreigners, Christians, westerners etc) near Sabra-Shatila (I know that because I myself almost got kidnapped by them in 1975. The car behind me unfortunately did not make it. Its driver, fellow AUB student Pierre Zarqa was found mutilated and dead the next day.) These organizations were responsible for the kidnapping of the foreign hostages in the Lebanon of the 1980s. The fact that whenever the Republican jackass US presidents Reagan and H.W. Bush made a deal with Iran (the Iran-Contra affair), a hostage would be released by his Shiite terrorist kidnappers in Beirut, but would be paraded in Damascus under the portraits of the Assad monster who took the credit for the liberation (even though he ordered the kidnapping in the first place).
Then the Syrians created the Sunni militias as well. The Mourabitoun, who said they were Nasserists, followers of the dictator of Egypt at the time Gamal Abdel Nasser, but who in reality worked for the Assad regime. The Mourabitoun were complete idiots, because they did none of the fighting. Instead they relied on their Palestinian Sunni terrorists to undermine the Lebanese State and attack the Lebanese army. In fact, all the Sunnis at the time, including prime ministers Rashid Karami, Rashid Al-Solh, Saeb Salam, etc...were WITH THE PALESTINIANS and against the LEBANESE ARMY. For example, when the Lebanese air force bombed the Palestinian camps of Sabra and Shatila in 1973, Rashid Karami resigned in protest and paralyzed the government for 9 months. No one in their right mind today should believe any word coming out of the fucking traitor Sunnis, from Hariri, Fatfat, Karami and down... because they were the ones who brought all these calamities to Lebanon. If the Sunnis had stood by the Lebanese State and the Lebanese Army, and of course their fellow Christian Lebanese, back in the late 1960s and 1970s, there would not have been a war in Lebanon, and the PLO would have been crushed and done with as happened in Jordan in 1970.
The Syrians also promoted the Druze neanderthals of the Shouf. The Druze, you see, have no principles. They are the most primitive backward sect in Lebanon because they only worry about survival. They go right or left depending on who has the upper hand. When Syria has the upper hand, the Druze are the biggest Baathists. When Israel has the upper hand, the Druze become ardent Zionists. When Israel invaded Lebanon in 1982, Walid Jumblatt hosted Ariel Sharon in his Mukhtara Palace and treated him like a king. In fact, in Israel, the Druze are the only non-Jews allowed to serve in the Israeli army. Just look at Walid Jumblatt today: He is like a weather penis: If the wind blows towards Damascus, he turns like a penis to the left. If the wind blows against Damascus, he turns like a penis to the right. He sits on the fence until the last possible minute. So, back in the early years of the war, Syria promoted Kamal Jumblatt as the leader of the Anti-Lebanon forces - the so-called National Front - that gathered everybody except the Christians: Palestinians, Druze, Sunnis, Shiites, communists, etc...Eventually the Syrians killed their Druze mercenary Kamal Jumblatt in 1977, just like they killed their fat pig Sunni collaborator Rafik Hariri in 2005, when he dared to be a bit more independent of them.
The Syrians also split the Lebanese army. In 1976, as the Palestinians were marching against the Lebanese State everywhere, committing the Damour massacre of 1976, the Syrians picked up a young traitor Sunni lieutenant - Ahmad Al-Khatib - from the ranks of the Lebanese Army, and propelled him to a mutiny against his own army. He founded the so-called Arab Army of Lebanon which then went on attacking Lebanese army barracks in Saida, Sour, and all the southern sector, including Marjayoun. This was how the "Border Strip" (الشريط الحدودي) was born, that was to be later "liberated" by Hezbollah. It was a part of the country that was abandoned by its own Sunni-led Lebanese government. In need of food, education and medicine, the Lebanese people of the southern strip bordering on Israel opened up to the Israelis. When Israel invaded later in 1982, the Border Strip became integrated with the Israeli occupation, simply because the fucking Lebanese government abandoned its own army and its own soldiers and its own people, as part of its collusion with the Syrians and the Palestinians. Today, about 10,000 Lebanese residents of the Border Strip live in Israel because when Israel withdrew in 2000, those Lebanese people feared retaliation from Hezbollah. The Lebanese government has done absolutely nothing to try to bring back these patriotic Lebanese to their country.
No wonder I hate the Sunnis of Lebanon. They are the root cause of the past 50 years of war in Lebanon. All of them. When Rafik Hariri came on to the scene in 1991, he continued the same policy. Hiding behind Saudi money and the Syrian army, he embarked on his shitty "business" program that built Lebanon's debt upwards of $50 billion and made things even worse. Thank God his buddies the Syrians killed him, because he was a stupid idiot. Money doesn't make people smart. Hariri built his empire by being a butler to the Saudi royal family, building a few buildings for them back in the 1970s when the Saudis still ate camel dung for breakfast and camel dung for dinner. Any asshole who served them became instantly rich. So Rafik Hariri has no merit for all his money, nor for rebuilding downtown Beirut. Any decent government would have done the same thing, but without the Syrian occupation and without all the corruption that Hariri brought.
The Syrians eventually took direct control of Lebanon - after dislodging the last free government Lebanon had, and by eliminating all the militias they themselves had created. Under the collaborator puppet Lebanese governments of the the criminals Hrawi, Lahoud, and Sleiman, the Syrians allowed only one militia to remain armed, namely Hezbollah, which was founded, trained and financed by Iran. Syria needed another pretext to continue undermining Lebanon: They invented the Shebaa Farms occupation, and used Hezbollah to continue harassing Israel from Lebanon, but never from Syria itself.
So, now, as I watch the Sunnis of Syria getting bombed and fucked with Assad's Alawite missiles and tanks, I say, CHEERS. Let the Sunnis of Syria taste a little of the medicine they gave the Lebanese people with the same Syrian tanks and cannons. Let the Syrian people be bombed, kidnapped, tortured, maimed, and killed for another 50 years. Perhaps they would understand everything we the Lebanese had to go through. In fact, the Syrians under the bombs and shells of Assad's army are the same ones who came to Lebanon as Syrian army conscripts where they bombed, kidnapped, raped, tortured, maimed, and killed us for 50 years. The "Free Syrian Army" pretending today to fight Assad consists of the same murderers who were sent by Assad to Lebanon during from 1975 to 2005.
This is what I wish for the Syrian people - all of them, Sunnis, Druze, Alwaites and Armenians:
More bombs on Homs. More shelling of Halab. More destruction in Idlib. More devastation in Damascus. More car bombs and more suicide bombings. More kidnappings and torture in Syria's famous jails at the hands of the Syrian Mukhabaraat services. Let the children of Syria die and get maimed like our children died and were maimed. At least, they are doing it to themselves. More of all of that and then some. Let them taste what we the Lebanese had to endure because of their Social National Baath Party - the ARAB NAZIS - of today. And any Syrian who thinks that he is safe in Lebanon, let him think twice before becoming a refugee in Lebanon. The Lebanese people will not treat them any better than the Palestinian refugees. I think any Syrian thinking of fleeing his or her country should go to Turkey or Iraq. Sunni Muslim on top of Sunni Muslim, خلي الخرى يطبش بعضه. Please donطt come to Lebanon. Then the Syrians created about a dozen other Palestinian terror organizations, not to help with the supposed liberation of fucking Palestine, but only to undermine Arafat and keep the Palestinians divided and dependent on Syria. These other organizations had names such as: Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine, the Yarmouk Brigades, the Saika, the Assifa, the Palestine Liberation Army, George Habash's General Command splinter from the PFLP, etc.
Then the Syrians exploited the stupid Shiites of the Lebanese south who were getting beaten up by the Israelis when the latter retaliated to the Palestinians firing of rockets across the Lebanese border. They created Amal (today led by the imbecile billionaire Nabih Berri who was a used card dealer in Detroit, Michigan, but then was lured back to Lebanon by the Syrians to undermine the religious Iranian asshole Moussa Al-Sadr who was also trying to undermine the Lebanese State after arriving from Iran and settling in Lebanon. Good thing that Qaddafi killed him. Other Shiite shithead organizations that Syria created were: The Movement of the Oppressed of the Earth, Fityan Ali (Ali's Boys) who used to kidnap any non-Muslim (foreigners, Christians, westerners etc) near Sabra-Shatila (I know that because I myself almost got kidnapped by them in 1975. The car behind me unfortunately did not make it. Its driver, fellow AUB student Pierre Zarqa was found mutilated and dead the next day.) These organizations were responsible for the kidnapping of the foreign hostages in the Lebanon of the 1980s. The fact that whenever the Republican jackass US presidents Reagan and H.W. Bush made a deal with Iran (the Iran-Contra affair), a hostage would be released by his Shiite terrorist kidnappers in Beirut, but would be paraded in Damascus under the portraits of the Assad monster who took the credit for the liberation (even though he ordered the kidnapping in the first place).
Then the Syrians created the Sunni militias as well. The Mourabitoun, who said they were Nasserists, followers of the dictator of Egypt at the time Gamal Abdel Nasser, but who in reality worked for the Assad regime. The Mourabitoun were complete idiots, because they did none of the fighting. Instead they relied on their Palestinian Sunni terrorists to undermine the Lebanese State and attack the Lebanese army. In fact, all the Sunnis at the time, including prime ministers Rashid Karami, Rashid Al-Solh, Saeb Salam, etc...were WITH THE PALESTINIANS and against the LEBANESE ARMY. For example, when the Lebanese air force bombed the Palestinian camps of Sabra and Shatila in 1973, Rashid Karami resigned in protest and paralyzed the government for 9 months. No one in their right mind today should believe any word coming out of the fucking traitor Sunnis, from Hariri, Fatfat, Karami and down... because they were the ones who brought all these calamities to Lebanon. If the Sunnis had stood by the Lebanese State and the Lebanese Army, and of course their fellow Christian Lebanese, back in the late 1960s and 1970s, there would not have been a war in Lebanon, and the PLO would have been crushed and done with as happened in Jordan in 1970.
The Syrians also promoted the Druze neanderthals of the Shouf. The Druze, you see, have no principles. They are the most primitive backward sect in Lebanon because they only worry about survival. They go right or left depending on who has the upper hand. When Syria has the upper hand, the Druze are the biggest Baathists. When Israel has the upper hand, the Druze become ardent Zionists. When Israel invaded Lebanon in 1982, Walid Jumblatt hosted Ariel Sharon in his Mukhtara Palace and treated him like a king. In fact, in Israel, the Druze are the only non-Jews allowed to serve in the Israeli army. Just look at Walid Jumblatt today: He is like a weather penis: If the wind blows towards Damascus, he turns like a penis to the left. If the wind blows against Damascus, he turns like a penis to the right. He sits on the fence until the last possible minute. So, back in the early years of the war, Syria promoted Kamal Jumblatt as the leader of the Anti-Lebanon forces - the so-called National Front - that gathered everybody except the Christians: Palestinians, Druze, Sunnis, Shiites, communists, etc...Eventually the Syrians killed their Druze mercenary Kamal Jumblatt in 1977, just like they killed their fat pig Sunni collaborator Rafik Hariri in 2005, when he dared to be a bit more independent of them.

The Syrian Bloodbath and Mar Maroun of Lebanon
As the Syrian bloodbath continues, most of us Lebanese - ordinary people, not the fucking politicians - have no idea how to feel about the situation in Homs.
On one hand, we feel pity and sorry for the Syrian people as they get pounded by Syrian artillery, with houses crumbling over their heads and glass and metal littering their streets. After all, we - including myself - lived for years under similar sieges by the Syrian army (supposedly in Lebanon between 1976 and 2005 as a peacekeeping force). Beirut in 1978 and 1981 (those are the ones I remember), and Zahleh and many others. Or during the Battle of the Mountain (معركة الجبل) when we were fleeing like rabbits in the pine woods surrounding our villages because our homes in the mountain did not have shelters... Too many memories of blood and destruction, all visited on us by the same Syrian army now pounding its own people with the same barbarity and savagery.
You see, the Syrian army is a piece of shit. They are all conscripted cowards who are poorly trained and poorly armed. There is no morale in the ranks of the Syrian army. Most of the soldiers are Sunni shitheads fighting under orders from Alawite fuckers, and they are asked to bomb their own communities... But the point is that the Syrian army knows one thing and only one thing when it comes to fighting: Surround the cities and towns and villages and bomb them day in and day out with Soviet era tanks. There is no arm to arm combat, there is no strategy. Keep bombing and shelling and pounding - combatants and civilians alike, indiscriminately, without any strategic targets or plans of attack, and hope that the other side will cry uncle and surrender.
That was how it was in Lebanon. We would spend days on end in the shelters, with the bombs and shells falling overhead, blasting buildings and houses, opening craters in the asphalt of the streets... and then during the occasional lulls, we'd come out and tally the losses: Who died, who lost a leg, who bled to death, whose house burned.... The Militias - Phalangists of Amine Gemayel and Lebanese Forces of Samir Geagea and such would be running above ground during the shelling (while we were in the shelters) robbing houses, raping women, pilfering stores... and pretend that they were defending us. Right in front of my eyes one time, they dragged a father of four from his underground shelter to open his store under the shelling so they can rob it. When he refused, they shot him point blank in front of his wife and children. These were the "Christian" militias... Christian my ass. These are the people whom Patriarch Ras Ayri Rahi considers his army. Hezbollah today is doing the same thing to the Shiite population: Cooperate with a gun to your head. That is the problem in Lebanon: People live like coward sheep under their own totalitarian community run by the Clergy and the Churches and the colluding feudal politicians. Dare stand out and they destroy you.
So, I feel sympathy for the Syrian people. But back when the Syrian army was doing this sort of thing to the Lebanese civilian population, the whole world - UN, US, France, UK, Arabs, Kharabs, Russians, Saudi criminals, Egyptian traitors, Emirate turncoats and Kuwaiti bankers bankrolling the PLO and the Syrian onslaught on Lebanon, Chinese, Israeli racists who were, and are still, colluding with the Syrian tyrant, and every son of a bitch and motherfucker in the international community - was blaming the Lebanese people: "You are unruly", they would tell us. "Let the Syrians impose peace", "You can't govern yourselves".... So, they enabled the Syrian regime to take over Lebanon by force of tanks and all the cannons and all the shells..... It took 30 years for all these international and Arab jackasses to realize that they had created a monster, and now they have no way of stopping it from genociding its own people.
So, even if I feel sympathy for the Syrian people, I also feel gleeful and I بشمت (bishmat) the Syrian people. And I say to myself: May the Syrian army keep pounding Homs and Halab and all the shitty Syrian cities for 20 or 30 years. May half the Syrian population leave the country and flee as refugees to the four corners of the world. May every road and every village in Syria become a tomb and a grave for millions of Syrians. May no one ever come to the rescue to the Syrian people because it is that very same people who sent their sons to Lebanon to kill, maim, kidnap, torture, shell, etc... us, the Lebanese people.
May the agony of Syria continue for half a century, to prove that Syrian is - like Lebanon and Israel - an artificial country clobbered together by world wars with disparate communities who will continue to massacre one another whenever they can in the name of the fucking three religions: Judaism, Islam and Christianity. All junk religions based on racism and supremacy, bent on genocides, built on myths from the Stone Age of humanity.
The Syrian people deserve the fire being visited upon them because for 50 years they allowed their dictator to do this to them. For decades, they believed and subscribed to the poison that the Syrian Baath Party spewed into their stupid brains to believe all the crap about Arab nationalism: Lebanon should be annexed to Syria. The Christians of Lebanon are crusaders and imperialists and Zionists, and must be exterminated. ...
We live in a region where barbarism reign supreme. Not a country in the Middle East has escaped the curse of religion. The God-chosen Israeli people who run around, claiming to be a democracy, when the entire premise of their fucking country is based on the same exact premise upon which shitty Saudi Arabia is based: Religion, and one specific people subscribing to that religion. And if you are not one of us, then we will deport you, we will persecute you, we will take your homes, we will hunt you down, to make sure that ISrael remains Jewish and Saudi Arabia remains Muslim. Yup, that is democracy, middle eastern arab jewish khara style.
Finally, while I got myself all riled up: Today is Saint Maroun's Day in lebanon, the patron saint of the maronite community. Another one of those thousands of tribes who 2,000 years ago decided to follow a smelly old bearded man who was hallucinating in the hills (because of self-imposed hunger and poor hygiene) about how God spoke to him and the son of God told him to believe that He is three people in one, while the Basile in Constantinople wanted him to believe that He is three different people.... And that literally - Byzantine - argument led to massacres and genocides that continue to this day.
The Maronites are no better than any of the tribes surrounding them. They live is a society of feudal lords and clergymen who operate vast financial empires, fuck children behind altars and in the orphanages they open for all the children whose parents were killed by the religious wars the church foments every other generation. The Maronite society is today a cesspool of highly individualistic mercantile moneymakers without any sense of community or shared living. In collusion with the other criminal entreprises of the Shiite and Sunni and Druze communities, they have turned Lebanon into a dog-eat-dog society where no one cares about any one else, yet they all congregate in their stupid churches and mosques to pray like idiots, repeating blatherings they don;t even understand because they don;t mean anything rational....
One of the ironies of history is that Christianity, when it was brought to Lebanon by fucking Jesus and his disciples and then by the Romans and Mar Maroun, it erased our true identity. Christianity in the early centuries of the religion was like Islam today. It was totalitarian. You could not be saved outside the church. And so, the Lebanese, back then known as Phoenicians, lost their cultural identity to their religious one. The Phoenician gods and goddesses were renamed as saints. Our original places of worship were replaced by churches. Everything that gave us our identity was obliterated because we now became Christians, like any other Christian in the Roman world. We were no longer even Roman citizens. We were now Christians.
So when the MAronite Church claims to have given Lebanon its identity, it is lying. The Maronite Church in fact took away our identity as Phoenicians, and replaced it with a Christian identity. So when a few centuries later, the fucking Arab-Muslims came as conquerors, we no longer knew who we were, and so half of us became Muslims, and ever since we have been killing and massacring one another as Christians and Muslims. The Christian religion in Lebanon destroyed the true identity of the Phoenician people, much as Islam today continues to try and destroy the national and ethnic identities of millions of people around the world under the guise of unifying them around fucking Mohammad and his fucking religion.
So to the Maronites of Lebanon and everywhere they are (because generally no one outside of Lebanon has ever heard of you, except for the occasional Western researcher who tries to make sense of your stupidity): FUCK YOU. FUCK MAR MAROUN. FUCK BATRAK RAHI. FUCK YOUR FORNICATING NUNS AND PRIESTS. FUCK YOUR COLLUDING FEUDAL LORDS of the GEMAYELS, CHAMOUNS, EDDEs, KHAZENs, AOUNs, FRANGUYEHs etc.... To the Lebanese people who do not subscribe to any of the religious crap that keeps them swarming in the Lebanese cesspool: Rebel against them. Stop believing their bullshit. Liberate yourselves from the chains of history and predetermination. Prove to the world that you truly a free people, and not some amalgam of racist mountain brutes and vile seacoast merchants who would sell their blood and their mothers for a dollar or a Lebanese lira. That is the problem in Lebanon: People live like coward sheep under their own totalitarian community run by the Clergy and the Churches and the colluding feudal politicians. Dare stand out and they destroy you.
So, I feel sympathy for the Syrian people. But back when the Syrian army was doing this sort of thing to the Lebanese civilian population, the whole world - UN, US, France, UK, Arabs, Kharabs, Russians, Saudi criminals, Egyptian traitors, Emirate turncoats and Kuwaiti bankers bankrolling the PLO and the Syrian onslaught on Lebanon, Chinese, Israeli racists who were, and are still, colluding with the Syrian tyrant, and every son of a bitch and motherfucker in the international community - was blaming the Lebanese people: "You are unruly", they would tell us. "Let the Syrians impose peace", "You can't govern yourselves".... So, they enabled the Syrian regime to take over Lebanon by force of tanks and all the cannons and all the shells..... It took 30 years for all these international and Arab jackasses to realize that they had created a monster, and now they have no way of stopping it from genociding its own people.
So, even if I feel sympathy for the Syrian people, I also feel gleeful and I بشمت (bishmat) the Syrian people. And I say to myself: May the Syrian army keep pounding Homs and Halab and all the shitty Syrian cities for 20 or 30 years. May half the Syrian population leave the country and flee as refugees to the four corners of the world. May every road and every village in Syria become a tomb and a grave for millions of Syrians. May no one ever come to the rescue to the Syrian people because it is that very same people who sent their sons to Lebanon to kill, maim, kidnap, torture, shell, etc... us, the Lebanese people.
May the agony of Syria continue for half a century, to prove that Syrian is - like Lebanon and Israel - an artificial country clobbered together by world wars with disparate communities who will continue to massacre one another whenever they can in the name of the fucking three religions: Judaism, Islam and Christianity. All junk religions based on racism and supremacy, bent on genocides, built on myths from the Stone Age of humanity.
The Syrian people deserve the fire being visited upon them because for 50 years they allowed their dictator to do this to them. For decades, they believed and subscribed to the poison that the Syrian Baath Party spewed into their stupid brains to believe all the crap about Arab nationalism: Lebanon should be annexed to Syria. The Christians of Lebanon are crusaders and imperialists and Zionists, and must be exterminated. ...
We live in a region where barbarism reign supreme. Not a country in the Middle East has escaped the curse of religion. The God-chosen Israeli people who run around, claiming to be a democracy, when the entire premise of their fucking country is based on the same exact premise upon which shitty Saudi Arabia is based: Religion, and one specific people subscribing to that religion. And if you are not one of us, then we will deport you, we will persecute you, we will take your homes, we will hunt you down, to make sure that ISrael remains Jewish and Saudi Arabia remains Muslim. Finally, while I got myself all riled up: Today is Saint Maroun's Day in lebanon, the patron saint of the maronite community. Another one of those thousands of tribes who 2,000 years ago decided to follow a smelly old bearded man who was hallucinating in the hills (because of self-imposed hunger and poor hygiene) about how God spoke to him and the son of God told him to believe that He is three people in one, while the Basile in Constantinople wanted him to believe that He is three different people.... And that literally - Byzantine - argument led to massacres and genocides that continue to this day.
The Maronites are no better than any of the tribes surrounding them. They live is a society of feudal lords and clergymen who operate vast financial empires, fuck children behind altars and in the orphanages they open for all the children whose parents were killed by the religious wars the church foments every other generation. The Maronite society is today a cesspool of highly individualistic mercantile moneymakers without any sense of community or shared living. In collusion with the other criminal entreprises of the Shiite and Sunni and Druze communities, they have turned Lebanon into a dog-eat-dog society where no one cares about any one else, yet they all congregate in their stupid churches and mosques to pray like idiots, repeating blatherings they don;t even understand because they don;t mean anything rational....
One of the ironies of history is that Christianity, when it was brought to Lebanon by fucking Jesus and his disciples and then by the Romans and Mar Maroun, it erased our true identity. Christianity in the early centuries of the religion was like Islam today. It was totalitarian. You could not be saved outside the church. And so, the Lebanese, back then known as Phoenicians, lost their cultural identity to their religious one. The Phoenician gods and goddesses were renamed as saints. Our original places of worship were replaced by churches. Everything that gave us our identity was obliterated because we now became Christians, like any other Christian in the Roman world. We were no longer even Roman citizens. We were now Christians.
So when the MAronite Church claims to have given Lebanon its identity, it is lying. The Maronite Church in fact took away our identity as Phoenicians, and replaced it with a Christian identity. So when a few centuries later, the fucking Arab-Muslims came as conquerors, we no longer knew who we were, and so half of us became Muslims, and ever since we have been killing and massacring one another as Christians and Muslims. The Christian religion in Lebanon destroyed the true identity of the Phoenician people, much as Islam today continues to try and destroy the national and ethnic identities of millions of people around the world under the guise of unifying them around fucking Mohammad and his fucking religion.
So to the Maronites of Lebanon and everywhere they are (because generally no one outside of Lebanon has ever heard of you, except for the occasional Western researcher who tries to make sense of your stupidity): FUCK YOU. FUCK MAR MAROUN. FUCK BATRAK RAHI. FUCK YOUR FORNICATING NUNS AND PRIESTS. FUCK YOUR COLLUDING FEUDAL LORDS of the GEMAYELS, CHAMOUNS, EDDEs, KHAZENs, AOUNs, FRANGUYEHs etc.... To the Lebanese people who do not subscribe to any of the religious crap that keeps them swarming in the Lebanese cesspool: Rebel against them. Stop believing their bullshit. Liberate yourselves from the chains of history and predetermination. Prove to the world that you truly a free people, and not some amalgam of racist mountain brutes and vile seacoast merchants who would sell their blood and their mothers for a dollar or a Lebanese lira. Show the world for once that you are truly civilized, in the sense of the true humanistic civilization that cares for every human being, for every tree, for every man, woman and child all over the world. Unfortunately, we are so removed from all of this that I doubt any of us today will see that day in our lifetimes.

GLITCH or GOAL? Israeli Attack on Iran Liklely to Save Bashar Assad's Ass
I am no fan of conspiracy theories that people in this part of the world are so fond of believing against any shred of other objective evidence...
But I could not help this afternoon, after reading the news that the US and Israel are preparing to attack Iran's nuclear sites, but deduce that such an attack will:
1- Inevitably draw Hezbollah into a fight with Israel at enormous cost to Lebanon.
2- Give Hezbollah a much needed lifeline into rehabilitating itself as a "resistance" movement against the "inevitable" Israeli aggression (even as Israel would be merely defending itself against missile attacks).
3-Provide a lifeline to the butcher of Damascus next door since he is an ally of Iran, and Assad could use the attack against Iran to re-mobilize - as Hezbollah would do in Lebanon - as the utmost defender against imperialism and zionism.
4- Abort the Syrian revolution
For decades, the Israelis and the Syrians were very happy to maintain quiet and peace on the Golan Heights, even though Israel ANNEXED, and not just occupied, the Golan Heights. Since 1974, not one bullet was ever fired from Syria into Israel, while 2 miles away in southern Lebanon, hordes of resistance movement - from the PLO to the PFLF and down to Hezbollah - were armed and sustained by Syria to force Lebanon into a fight with Israel that Syrian itself never fought.
This led many to question whether BOTH ISRAEL and the ASSAD regime are in cahoots, with some sort of tacit, implicit, secret...understandings and agreements in which:
A- the Israelis, freed from threat on the Golan, continue gobbling up Jerusalem and the West Bank
B- the Israelis, in exchange for security on the Golan, gave the Syrians a free hand in lebanon to keep this tormented country as a crucible of instability that both Israelis and Syrians loved.
C- The outcome of such an agreement being that the Syrians were effectively giving much needed room for the Israelis to continue in their annexation of Palestinian lands, and one day, the Israelis, now satisfied with the Syrians, return the Golan to Assad in some fashion.
D- Meanwhile, in Lebanon, the instability created by all these people (Israelis, Syrians, Palestinians, Iranians...) created a place the Palestinians could consider a substitute homeland and forget about making any claims to the Right of Return. This initially required giving the PLO full power in Lebanon (the 1970-1990 War), but failure to achieve this goal did not preempt the same ultimate objective, since the Palestinians are basically staying forever in Lebanon and have already forgotten about Palestine without running things in this country.
Now that the tide has turned in the Arab world in favor of democratic change, Israel and the Americans fear a rise in genuine popular anti-Israel sentiment. Therefore, it makes sense to undertake a new destabilization, at least in the Syrian-Lebanese corner, by giving Assad a chance to survive the revolution. How do you do this? Let Israel take some action to give the butcher in Damascus a casus belli and tell his people that he needs to stay in power because the Israeli "enemy" is attacking Iran and we could be next....
No one want a nuclear Iran and an attack on Iran is a welcome move. But Israel could drop a couple of well-targeted, much smaller bombs onto nearby Damascus, and bring the Assad Baath regime down. In parallel with a surgical strike on Iran, Israel could kill three birds with one stone: A nuclear Iran, a dictator in Syria, and the Hezbollah dogs in Lebanon. Not bad. But is this really what Israel wants?

FRIENDS OF US. FRIENDS OF SAAD HARIRI. CIVILIZED SAUDIS DEPORT CHRISTIANS
I am no Christian. I am no Muslim. I am no Jew. I am no member of any stupid racist supremacist religion. I am borderline nationalist. My nation is the country I grew up in AND which gives me a sense of freedom and happiness. Nothing else matters to me, especially not religion.
BUT in this fucked up country of Lebanon, where religion is everything, every politician is allied with an outside country on the basis of religion. It is the most disgusting place on earth. We have all the identities of others but we do not have our own identity. How do I know that? If we knew who we are, we would not have the problems plaguing us for 50 years. We are Muslims, we are Christians, we are Arabs, we are Westerners, we are Druze and we are Orthodox. We are Armenians and we are Maronites. We are pro-Syria and we are anti-Syria. We are Baathists and we are Socialists. We are Phalangists and we are Syrian Nationalists. We are pro-Aoun and we are pro-Hariri. We are pro-Iran and we are pro-Saudi Arabia. NOT ONE FUCKING POLITICAL FARM (they call themselves "parties") HAS THE WORD LEBANON OR LEBANESE IN IT.
As such, our politicians, each hailing from a political farm funded by outside countries, will never enact policies to solve our everyday problems: Electricity, public freedoms, water, roads, the environment, pollution, too many cars and not public transportation, thieves and cronies of the politicians who control our lives with generators and bribes and wasta and client jobs to incompetent bureaucrats... Meanwhile, we educate ourselves like there is no tomorrow, and we end up wasting our lives and our potential for creative productive lives because the system has no place for us. So we emigrate and we excel outside. But in Lebanon, we rot and we become obsessed with whether the generator works or whether this jerk behind the counter will give me my driver's license without a bribe, or whether Hezbollah or the General Security Services are spying on us or listening on our phones to find out if we are Israeli agents, even as they are Iranian and Syrian agents. Lebanon is a digsuting cesspool. No one should believe otherwise.
Now, Saad Hariri, the supposed "pro-Western" politician of Lebanon, son of the former Syrian and Saudi collaborator fat pig Rafik Hariri who pilfered Lebanon's prime real estate from their rightful owners to erase the memory of downtown Beirut and build a huge mosque dwarfing the nearby St. George's Catholic Church simply to spite Lebanon's Christians....and who was later - Arab traditions oblige - assassinated by the very Syrians who brought him to power... Saad Hariri is Lebanon's political child of Saudi Arabia and the US. Everything he does, he does to please Saudi Arabia and the US - not much different from the other Muslim jackass of Lebanon - one Hassan Nasrallah who does nothing but to please Iran and Syria.
The news story below should be a warning to everyone who believes that Lebanon's future is in the hands of people like Saad Hariri or Hassan Nasrallah. Why don't you establish a new ARTICLE in the HUMAN RIGHTS CHARTER, an ARTICLE OF PARITY or ARTICLE OF RECIPROCITY, whereby every member state must guarantee to others the same rights it expects from others. If fucking MUSLIMS demand all their rights in the West (veil, scarf, prayer times, etc...) , then they are obligated to extend those same rights to others, to all human beings, in their own fucking MECCA.

Christians 'face deportation' in Saudi Arabia
Dozens of Ethiopian Christians are facing deportation from Saudi Arabia after authorities raided a private prayer service in Jeddah, according to Human Rights Watch (HRW).
The group was reportedly arrested in a private home in Jeddah in mid-December. Most of the 35 detainees are women, and three of them told the US-based group that they were strip-searched by police.
HRW said it spoke to three detainees, two women and one man, by telephone from prison.
One of them said the men were beaten, and also complained of inadequate medical care and poor sanitation at the jail.
"Two of the women said that officials there forced the women to strip, and then an officer inserted her finger into each of the women’s genitals, under the pretext of searching for illegal substances hidden inside their bodies," the report said.
"Officers also kicked and beat the men in Buraiman prison, and insulted them as 'unbelievers'."

The group now faces possible deportation for "illicit mingling," though HRW said Saudi Arabia has no law defining that offence.
Unrelated men and women are forbidden to mingle in public, though they are generally allowed a degree of freedom in private.
'Intolerant ways'
Saudi Arabia officially bans the public practice of any religion other than Islam.
The kingdom said in 2006 that it would allow non-Muslims to practice their religions in private, but the kingdom's notorious religious police continue to periodically crack down on private services.
The Saudi interior ministry did not respond to a request for comment.
"While King Abdullah sets up an international interfaith dialogue centre, his police are trampling on the rights of believers of others faiths," said Christoph Wilcke, a senior Middle East researcher at HRW, referring to a Saudi-funded "centre for interreligious and intercultural dialogue" established in Vienna last year.
"The Saudi government needs to change its own intolerant ways before it can promote religious dialogue abroad."
