Egypt To Extradite Nasrallah and Prosecute Him on Terrorism Charges

Hezbollah's Hassan Nasrallah has given direct orders to his cell in Egypt to mount attacks against the "sisterly" Arab country. This is one of many revelations coming out of the trial of the Hezbollah terrorists caught in Egypt.

Shouldn't Egypt, since it has the evidence, seek to extradite Hassan Nasrallah from Lebanon and prosecute him on terrorism charges? I think that would be the right thing to do, if the justice system in such an "advanced" Arab country like Egypt truly works.

Finally, this is a case of Arab and Muslim muck, filth, and garbage, that is inspired straight out of the streets of Beirut and Cairo, those "gems" of the Arab world, that for once cannot be blamed on the "Zionists", the "Crusaders", the "isolationists", or the "Imperialists-colonialists". For once, there is no western or jewish or christian "interference" in the proud cesspool of Arab and Muslim nationalism. Pure and unadulterated Muslim filth and Arab funk, that somehow is escaping the Arab media's attention. Of course, that is expected because filth does not know it is filth; it cannot point at itself and pinch its nose at the putrid odors that emanate from it. Filth cannot be disgusted with itself; that's why it is always looking elsewhere - in the decadent West, in Jewish and Zionist conspiracies, and in Crusading Christian colonialism - in search of the roots of its problems.

Arabs are a perfect people, and Islam is the most perfect of all religions. How can anyone believe otherwise? So, nothing can come out of them that deserves criticism or change or evolution. The UN latest report on the Arab World Development - written by Arabs, mind you - did not find anything wrong with the Arab world: it tops the world in education, scientific discoveries, human rights, and all the goodness it bestows upon the world in the form of fucking Islam and its shitty Prophet. Thank God for that.

Hizbullah Cell Faces Hanging in Egypt, Nasrallah Personally Ordered it to Carry Out Attacks
Hizbullah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah has personally tasked the head of the Hizbullah cell in Egypt to carry out attacks in the country, pan-Arab daily al-Hayat reported Tuesday.
The newspaper, based on records of investigation, said that Nasrallah ordered the leader of the network, Mohammed Qabalan, who is on the run, to prepare for attacks in Egypt, and the man in his turn tasked Lebanese Mohammed Youssef Mansour to plan for such operations.

The two men agreed that they would carry out an attack while Nasrallah was making a speech on the occasion of Ashoura. The green light, according to al-Hayat, would be given when the Hizbullah chief states the words "armed forces" in his address.

However, the arrest of members of the network thwarted the planned operation, the daily said, citing the Egyptian investigation.

The probe also revealed that Qabalan and Mansour, who is known as Sami Shehab, were pushed by the Hizbullah leadership to organize the network in Egypt. The men were able to recruit members who were divided into small groups that functioned under their orders, al-Hayat said.

The report came as Egyptian lawyer Muntasar al-Zayyat announced that he planned to stop defending the accused in the Hizbullah cell case in protest against Cairo's decision to try the 26 men at an emergency state security court.

He told al-Mustaqbal daily that he hoped the case would be referred to the criminal court so that the verdict would be appealed. State security courts were set up under Egypt's emergency laws and have been in place since 1981 and their verdicts are final.

Legal sources told pan-Arab daily Asharq al-Awsat that several members of the network could be hanged if convicted by the court. Charges include conspiracy to murder, spying for a foreign organization with the intent of conducting terrorist attacks and weapons possession.

Islam: Religion of Peace and Tolerance?

- Is one's dislike of Western education enough of a reason to go around killing people and setting churches on fire?
- How can anyone justify killing other people (read below) out of attachment to some religious beliefs from the age of the dinosaurs?
- Islam is bad enough because it is a religion. Like the other two monotheistic religions - Judaism and Christianity - that sprung out of the Middle East, it has had its share of forced conversions, the "al-Fateh al-islami" that spread Islam from China to Spain in a mere 100 years, similar to the "conquest of the promised land" by the Jews, and the Christian missionaries who went hand in hand with colonialism and the eradication of entire cultures and civilizations just so they can be saved by "Jesus" and his fucking "Church"... They all are based on racism, and on the claims that each has the "right" formula and is therefore has exclusivity with fucking "God".

Just look at what the Muslim Nigerians are doing: By what measure of sanity can anything like this be justified? I am so happy that biology has taught me the truth: evolution and the very close kinship humans have with all life on earth. I no longer need any fucking God, Prophet, Saints, Mullahs, Mahdis, rabbis, priests or sheikhs. I am a free human, free from the guilt and the bondage of religion.

Wake up people....religion is for the primitive, the idiots, the poor in their mind. It is for those who seek an answer at any cost. The fact is that there is no answer. We, and all of life on earth, are a very brief blip, a speck of dust, and there is no afterworld or spirit or soul. We come to this earth, we spend our life, and we go to never return again. And you know what: There is nothing wrong with that. Try it: It's liberating. Compare it to those cruel "Muslims" in Nigeria and come to a decision on your own.

Muslim rebels expand attacks, at least 80 dead

55 killed as police battle Nigerian Islamists AFP

MAIDUGURI, Nigeria (Reuters) – Muslim rebels on Monday expanded their attack on Nigerian security forces to three northern states, with at least 80 people dead in two days of clashes, security sources said.

Gun battles between police and members of a local Islamic group, which wants a wider adoption of Islamic law across Nigeria, were reported in Yobe, Kano and Borno states.

The attacks came a day after more than 50 people were killed in neighboring Bauchi state. The violence was not connected to unrest in the oil-producing Niger Delta in the south.

The four northern states are among the 12 of Nigeria's 36 states that started a stricter enforcement of sharia in 2000 -- a decision that has alienated sizeable Christian minorities and sparked bouts of sectarian violence that killed thousands.

A senior member of the rebel group Boko Haram, which opposes Western education and demands the adoption of sharia law in all of Nigeria, threatened further attacks.

"We do not believe in Western education. It corrupts our ideas and beliefs. That is why we are standing up to defend our religion," Abdulmuni Ibrahim Mohammed told Reuters after his arrest in Kano state.

"Even if I'm arrested, there are more out there to do the job."

The government estimates 55 have been killed in the two days of fighting, but estimates from security sources and residents add up to at least 80.

President Umaru Yar'Adua ordered heightened security in the affected regions and directed police to take all necessary action to contain and repel the militants.

More than 200 ethnic groups generally live peacefully side by side in the West African country, although civil war left 1 million people dead between 1967 and 1970 and there have been bouts of religious unrest since then.

CLASHES SPREAD

Members of the Boko Haram set several churches, a police station and a prison ablaze in Maiduguri, the state capital of Borno, residents said.

A Reuters reporter said he saw at least 20 bodies laid out on the street as his family was evacuating among hundreds of others. Gunshots and explosions could be heard throughout the city.

"The (militants) are right now moving into town. Riot police and soldiers are everywhere, but the boys are not afraid of them," said Gana Marari, another resident of Maiduguri.

In northern Yobe and Kano states, clashes between rebels and security forces killed at least four and injured 10. A Kano police spokesman said officers had arrested more than 100 gunmen.

Boko Haram, which means "education illegal," began its string of attacks in the northeastern city of Bauchi on Sunday after the arrest of some of its members.

More than 50 Nigerians were killed and more than 100 arrested in those clashes, prompting the Bauchi state governor to impose a night-time curfew on the state capital city. There were no reports of violence in Bauchi on Monday.

Why is this Dog Barking? Because he Was Caught!

Do you want to know why has Hassan Nasrallah, Iran's bearded dog in Lebanon, been barking loud lately, with his index finger wagging in its condescending racist supremacist view of his shitty Islam over everyone else? It is because he was caught violating UN resolution 1701 and Lebanese sovereignty, and because he sent his henchmen to attack UNIFIL and prevent it from investigating Hezbollah's continued violations of UN resolution 1701.

Really, the beard and the robe don't change the man - you can be the biggest asshole in the world, you still cannot hide behind a beard and a robe. But unfortunately, many "religious" people in Lebanon and around the world still venerate the beard and the robe, even when an idiot or a criminal wears them.

Until when will this bearded dog use Lebanon to serve Iran and the Islamic Republic? Until when will this idiot believer in religious fantasies continue to threaten the lives of ordinary Lebanese and people with war and war-mongering? All his ideology comes from some desert hallucinations and stories about dirty fornicating bearded prophets and their pissy holy books, that he in fact shares with his enemies, the religious Jews and religious Christians who still live in the Jurassic era - the monotheistic religions of fucking Islam, fucking Judaism and fucking Christianity are the disease of this world.

Read on about what the UN - an impartial world body - found regarding the explosion of the Hezbollah weapons cache in south Lebanon.

U.N.: Hizbullah Actively Maintained Arms Cache
Hizbullah actively maintained an arms depot, which, exploded, in southern Lebanon earlier this month, violating a ceasefire, the U.N. said in a document obtained by Agence France Presse (AFP) on Friday.

The United Nations head of peacekeeping operations Alain Le Roy told the Security Council in a closed-door briefing on Thursday that the July 14 explosion marked a "serious violation" of Resolution 1701 which ended the devastating 2006 war in Lebanon between Israel and Hizbullah.

The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) is responsible for the monitoring of the 2006 ceasefire and Resolution 1701, which calls for southern Lebanon to be free of Hizbullah militants and arms.

"A number of indications suggest that the depot belonged to Hizbullah, and, in contrast to previous discoveries by UNIFIL and the Lebanese Armed Forces of weapons and ammunition, that it was not abandoned but, rather, actively maintained," Le Roy said.

A UNIFIL team investigating the explosion of the ammunition that was stored in an abandoned house in the village of Khirbet Selim, 20 kilometers (12 miles) from the Israeli border, was obstructed by civilians at the site, he said.

"Some of the individuals present at the site of the explosion in the early morning hours of 15 July at the time when UNIFIL was discouraged from accessing the site, were identified to UNIFIL as belonging to Hizbullah.

"In addition, the activities of these individuals appeared to be aimed at removing evidence from the site," Le Roy told the Security Council.

"At least one vehicle also was observed being loaded with boxes from the explosion site and subsequently departing the site" following the explosion.

Fourteen UNIFIL personnel were also lightly injured on July 18 by more than 100 civilians hurling stones against the probe team in the area, he said, noting "an increasing level of organization among those confronting UNIFIL."

According to Le Roy, the arms cache comprised of light ammunition as well as rockets similar to the thousands of projectiles fired against northern Israel during the 2006 conflict, and they were in good condition.

"The contents included mortars, AK-47s, various calibers of artillery shells, and 122mm rockets, originating from various countries. The weapons and ammunition dated from the 1970s to the 1990s and generally appeared to be in good order."

Le Roy's report however dismissed Israeli claims that the weapons were smuggled into Lebanon after the end of the war.

"There is no evidence that suggests that the weapons and ammunition present in the building had been smuggled into the UNIFIL area of operations since the adoption of Resolution 1701," Le Roy said.

"The type and age of the ammunition that has been identified could be an indication that it was collected and stockpiled in this location over a period of time," he said. (AFP)

Hezbollah Dominates Lebanese Army

As I argued in my previous blog, this explosion last week of a weapons cache belonging to Hezbollah, was in contravention of UN resolution 1701 which stipulates that Hezbollah cannot maintain any armed presence in the area under UNIFIL jurisdiction. When a joint Lebanese-UNIFIL company went to investigate, Hezbollah nudged its supporters and terrorist members to drive the investigators away, which they did with stones and rocks. But that is not the shocking part of the story.

What is absolutely dismaying is that, after the incident, the Lebanese Army went out of its way to cover up for Hezbollah. It issued a statement saying that UNIFIL did not coordinate with the Lebanese Army before going to investigate, which angered the "local residents", when the facts are that the Lebanese Army was with UNIFIL when it went to the site to begin its investigation.

So these facts (as you can read them in the Naharnet report below) indicate that:
- Hezbollah was indeed violating UN resolution 1701 when it stored and handled weapons near the border.
- When UNIFIL tried to investigate, Hezbollah feared it was going to be exposed for what it is doing in the south, and it prodded its members to prevent the investigation from going forward, which they did by attacking UNIFIL members and injuring 14 of them.
- The Lebanese Army, caught between its fear of losing UNIFIL support and its fear of Hezbollah (which everyone knows has infiltrated the army), chose to side with the violator, Hezbollah, against the legitimate protector of the south, the UN.

After decades of UNIFIL protecting the Lebanese south and hundred of its soldiers dying and getting wounded to protect the Lebanese south against the impotence of the Lebanese governments, against rogue terrorist organizations like the PLO and Hezbollah, and against ISrael's harsh attacks, the Lebanese government and army are demonstrating how ingrate they are. Instead of upholding the law and the agreements that it signed, the Lebanese government has indeed fallen under the control of Hezbollah and is reneging to its international obligations. Lest the Lebanese army and the Lebanese government forget, they would not be standing today were it not for the UN and the protection this international group of friendly countries.

Lebanon is a country of hoodlums and backwards people. This is how a backwards ingrate country expresses its gratitude to all those countries who send their sons and daughters to die for a country that does not deserve to be saved from its own people, its own government, and now its own fucking army.

I strongly urge the United Nations not to renew the mandate of UNIFIL in the south when it comes up for renewal in August. Let the ingrate Lebanese fend their way through the terrorism of Hezbollah on one hand and the risks they take by allowing Hezbollah to keep instigating Israeli responses against the Lebanese south. The Lebanese government and army do not deserve the support they are receiving from the United Nations.

Closed UN Meeting on South amidst French Fears of Lebanese Army Cover-up of Hizbullah

The United Nations will hold a closed-doors meeting on Thursday to look into three letters it had received – one from Lebanon and two from Israel – regarding the latest incidents in south Lebanon related to the explosion of an arms cache in Khirbet Selm and repercussions of a mishap between UNIFIL and Khirbet Selm residents in which 14 peacekeepers were lightly wounded.
Lebanon had sent a letter to U.N. chief Ban Ki-moon calling on the international body not to pre-judge before completion of the joint probe by the Lebanese army and UNIFIL with regards to the arms depot blast on the outskirts of Khirbet Selm.

The letter, which also touched on the Israeli violation in Kfarshouba, stressed Lebanon's rejection of any changes to the rules of engagement under U.N. Security Council Resolution 1701.

The U.N. meeting comes ahead of a scheduled session scheduled for August 2009.

Al-Mustaqbal daily quoted high-ranking diplomatic sources as saying that whatever happened to attempts to change the rules of engagement will not reach anywhere.

Meanwhile, al-Akhbar newspaper, citing well-informed officials up-to-date with the French position, pointed that Paris' viewpoint in regards to the Khirbet Selm incident showed that the decision to inspect a house in the village was coordinated with the Lebanese army.

"As they (French peacekeepers) approached the village, they were taken to a different location," one official said, adding that he believes Hizbullah had planned this confrontation with the residents as a cover-up for the Khirbet Selm explosion.

The sources also raised fear that the Lebanese army had served as a cover-up for Hizbullah.

Easier to Blame UN Peacekeepers than Hezbollah

The fucking Lebanese government and its impotent army, both shitting in their pants out of fear of the terrorist group Hezbollah, is now blaming the UN peacekeepers of UNIFIL for the incident this weekend on the Lebanese-Israeli border.

Fact 1. Hezbollah is not supposed to be armed in that area under UN resolution 1701.
Fact 2. A weapons storage depot explodes in the area under joint UNIFIL-LAF (Lebanese Army) jurisdiction.
Fact 3. A joint UNIFIL-LAF patrol heads to the village where the weapons depot exploded to investigate.
Fact 4. "Local residents" (i.e. Hezbollah goons and terrorists) attack the patrol with stones and injure 14 UN peacekeepers trying to find out what happened and fulfill their obligations under resolution 1701.
Fact 5. Caught between its fear of Hezbollah and its fear of losing the peacekeeping force altogether, the fucking cowardly Lebanese government and army blame UNIFIL for "not having coordinated" with the Lebanese army before going to investigate the incident. Please note that the patrol that tried to carry out the investigation was a "JOINT PATROL OF UNIFIL and LEBANESE ARMY SOLDIERS".

But as has been the case for decades, the filthy Lebanese choose the low, unprincipled and cowardly road, and blame UNIFIL because they are afraid of pointing the finger where it clearly belongs: Hezbollah.

This testifies to the inability of the country, people, and government of Lebanon of clearly stating what they want, how they plan to end their endless conflict with each other and with everyone else, and get on with life. They want to fight and resist Israel and liberate Palestine, but they cry mommy and run to the UN and the whole world for help when Israel fight them back.

They can't even run their country - corruption, no water, no electricity, huge deficit, pollution, chaotic unregulated urban sprawl, the rape of the environment, etc.. make Lebanon one of the most backwards countries on the surface of the earth. If it were not for the billions that Lebanese emigres send back home, the country would have collapsed long time ago. Right now, Lebanon has had three "DONOR CONFERENCES", in Paris no less, to help the beggars of Lebanon remain alive with billions of dollars.

The Lebanese literally keep their country on life support with money from the West and the rich Arab countries, and while the Lebanese politicians steal most of the money to line their own pockets with it, the Lebanese agree on one thing: It is never their fault; it is always the fault of others. In this case, the UN peacekeepers, according to the moronic Lebanese army and government, are to blame for being pelted with stones by Hezbollah terrorists, as they tried to investigate a huge weapons depot explosion (obviously owned illegally by Hezbollah).

The UN should vote to abrogate the mandate of the UN peacekeeping force in southern Lebanon and leave the cowardly Lebanese government and its impotent army to deal with Hezbollah and Israel ALONE. Lest the Lebanese forget - especially the sub-primate Siniora who served as Prime Minister in 2006 - the UNIFIL saved Lebanon from utter destruction brought about by Hezbollah's illegal (under any notion of state sovereignty) warmongering and Israel's out-of-proportion reprisals. For once the Lebanese should assume their own responsibilities instead of blaming everyone else for their stupidity, disunity and their claims to being a functional state.

Here we Go Again: Chameleon Jumblatt is Changing Again

Walid Jumblatt, the chameleon of Lebanese politics is switching sides again. After bashing Hezbollah and attacking Arab nationalism since the 2005 Hariri assassination and siding with US policy and Saudi Arabia against Syria, Iran and Hezbollah, Mr. Jumblatt is getting ready to change his entire political trajectory, make a 180 degree turn and become a staunch advocate of Hezbollah, Iran, and Syria.

This is nothing new. Jumblatt has done it many times before. For decades in the 1980s and 1990s, he was a devoted supporter of the Syrian occupation, an ardent Muslim Arab nationalist who supported the attacks of September 11 and called Condoleezza Rice a "oil-colored snake" in reference to the color of her skin. Mind you, this was of no consequence to the Bush administration who, on account of Jumblatt's reversal in 2005 to the anti-Syrian camp, rewarded him by inviting him to the White House and Washington, like it did with Jumblatt's fellow war criminal and militia warlord Samir Geagea. During the 1980s, Geagea and Jumblatt fought each other through their militias, killing tens of thousands of Christian and Druze villagers, displacing all the Christians from the Shouf Mountains, and to this day, 20 years after the official end of hostilities, Jumblatt still denies Christian villagers from returning to their homes. He was after all for many years in charge of the Fund for the Displaced in Lebanon, an ironic way for the fucking Lebanese government to put the hangman in charge of rehabilitating his victims.

And now, after his defeat by Hezbollah in the May 2007 events in which 300 of Jumblatt's men were slaughtered by Shiite terror-in-chief Hassan Nasrallah's goons, Jumblatt is now beginning a slow shift from the so-called March 14 bloc to the Hezbollah bloc. I think Jumblatt thinks people are stupid and won't notice his chameleonic skin change colors by doing it gradually. But this is exactly what he is doing. He has been praising Syria, and defending Hezbollah against Israel's "violations", and all the crap that Muslim Arab nationalists in Lebanon use as pretexts to keep Lebanon in the crucible of war with ISrael, while all the other fucking Arabs are enjoying their summers at the beach and exchanging diplomatic relations with the "enemy" ISrael.

Only Lebanon, of all Arab countries, is made to be the scapegoat who has to fight ISrael on behalf of all the smelly Arabs, while those same smelly Arabs exchange embassies and trade offices with Israel.

I don;t know what to make of Jumblatt's new reversal. Maybe he is one of those psychologically deranged individuals who always prefer to be on the "other side". He cycles his positions in such a way that when everyone else sees the light (finally) on any given issue, Jumblatt feels he will remain in the spotlight if he switches sides. His policy is one of perpetual vexation and opposition, slithering his way out of any clear, principled position. My ten cents worth of psychology.

Note, though, that Amin Gemayel, the idiot who became an MP after the death of his uncle Maurice, then Phalange militia leader after the death of his father Pierre, then President after the death of his brother Bashir, and again MP after the death of his son Pierre Jr., is also courting Syria these days and beginning a rapprochement with the Baathist regime with whom he fought endless wars and killed tens of thousands of innocent Lebanese. So Jumblatt is not alone. Neither is Saad Hariri immune to chameleonic behavior: I never trusted the Sunnis of Lebanon to begin with.

To the jackasses of the "World Council for the Cedars Revolution" [sounds important, doesn't it?], people like Walid Phares and Tom ATEF Harb (who threatened to tell the CIA about me because I was criticizing the pro-US March 14 mastodonts, which they - in their tiny little brains - interpreted as support for Hezbollah): I told you the Sunnis, the Druze and the Maronites (Geagea and Gemayel) March 14 cannot be trusted. The Sunnis in particular, because they were the ones who burned Lebanon to save the PLO and took the country down a road from which it never recovered. Today, they are anti-Syrian (because Syria is with Iran). Tomorrow they will be something else, depending on what the fucking Sunni dinosaurs of Mecca tell them or how much they pay them.

Worsening Crisis between Jumblat, March 14 Forces
Progressive Socialist Party leader Walid Jumblat continued to ratchet up his rhetoric against March 14 Forces, reflecting a growing crisis within the Parliamentary majority.
In newest remarks to the daily Al-Akhbar published Friday, Jumblat criticized March 14 leaders as living in another world.

"It seems that the youngsters are (living) in a different world," Jumblat said.

"(As if) they did not hear of Israeli violations or about U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's call on the Arabs to normalize relations with Israel and what this means," he added.

"Arab states have a responsibility to support the Palestinian Authority with words and deeds, to take steps to improve relations with Israel, and to prepare their publics to embrace peace and accept Israel's place in the region," Clinton said in a foreign policy address on Wednesday.

"The Saudi peace proposal, supported by more than twenty nations, was a positive step. But we believe that more is needed," she noted.

"So we are asking those who embrace the proposal to take meaningful steps now. Anwar Sadat and King Hussein crossed important thresholds, and their boldness and vision mobilized peace constituencies in Israel and paved the way for lasting agreements," Clinton added.

Jumblat's criticism came as the Druze leader's call for a "solid" gathering with Hizbullah, al-Mustaqbal Movement and Speaker Nabih Berri drew outrage from March 14 leaders.

"This was a slip of the tongue," Phalange Party leader Amin Gemayel said of Jumblat's recent statement.

Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea, however, disagreed with Jumblat on his reasoning that the Muslim arena was the "foundation."

"This is not true. The political arena is national and not religious," Geagea believed.

"We cannot talk about any alliance in Lebanon's interest in isolation from the Christians," Geagea stressed.

MP Sami Gemayel, for his part, said in an interview with LBC's Kalam el-Nass talk show late Thursday that he does not mind a rapprochement between Jumblat and Syria "provided we would not pay a price for this rapprochement."

As Safir daily, meanwhile, said sources from the "Lebanon First" parliamentary bloc have accused Jumblat of trying to weaken Prime Minister-designate Saad Hariri "through the state of confusion caused by his rhetoric."

Jumblat had said that a "solid gathering was most essential" for the Muslim political arenas both in Beirut and its environs, but asked Christian political leaders not to "be displeased with his call and to understand that the U.S. conservative policy and the Israeli policy aim to separate the Palestinian track from that of the (Arab-Israeli) conflict in order to break up the Arab world."

On Thursday, Jumblat clarified that his comments "have nothing to do with reviving the Quartet Alliance."

He said the purpose behind his call was to "address the sectarian repercussions of the previous phase in Beirut and its environs."

Arab Nationalism Meets the Dirt-The Humiliation of Arab Moslems Begging at the Doors of Europe

Can any of the jackass Arab/Moslem nationalists who write to this blog complaining about my criticism of Arab and Islamic nationalism tell me what they think of the simple story below?
Nationalism - Arab, Moslem and kind for that matter - means nothing if your people continue to leave THEIR country to go to the ENEMY's country where life is better and they are treated with dignity and respect.
That is where I fault Arab and Islamic nationalism: Unless you can provide for your people a life of dignity and respect - the dignity to earn a living without the bosses, presidents, kings, emirs, sultans, and all the assorted dictators crushing the human spirit of their own people with antiquated beliefs in Arabism, God, Mohammad, and heaven and hell, while starving them - then Arab and Islamic nationalism is SHIT. It means nothing. It does not matter if one comes from Mars or from filthy Mecca: What matters is can I live honorably?

The sole survivor from the journey of death on Al-Yunan vessel tells "Asharq Al-Awsat" how goats rescued him. The clock indicated 3:00 AM in the middle of high waves and biting cold. We saw from a distance the lights of the Greek island, so we praised God for safety and we were overwhelmed with extreme happiness. Afterwards, the boat captain contacted the smuggler in Turkey and notified him that we were just about to arrive.
But this joy was not to last, as the boat's engine suddenly stopped moving, and water leaked to our shoes and between our feet, and the two persons in charge of the vessel ordered us to jump into the sea.
Those words are the beginning of the story of Mohammad Al-Sayyed Al-Saber, the sole survivor of the vessel that drowned recently in the Aegean Sea near the island of Samos in western Greece.
He tells it and he shivers, and his words blend with the tears.
These may be the suffering tears of the long hours of exhaustion, and they may be the tears of joy of a new life he was destined for, for the sake of his children as he says.
Next to Mohammad Al-Saber is his brother Khaled and a number of friends and relatives in one of the popular neighborhoods in the center of Athens.
Asharq Al-Awsat reached Mohammad Al-Saber, who is an Egyptian national from Al-Mansoura, age 38 years old and has three sons. He is an educated young man and has a higher education diploma, but the difficult circumstances of life flung him in Turkey to join the throngs of illegal immigrants who are amassed in the coastal Turkish cities waiting for the signal from the smugglers to head for the sea and the race with death, and cross into Greece, and then to the rest of the European Union countries.

Land and Beach Grabs in Lebanon: The Corruption and Abuse Continue

Kudos for Minister Aridi for bringing this matter out in the open.

Unlike in the civilized world where beach and ocean front properties are public and anyone can go to the beach without having to pay membership prices or be excluded because of one's social or financial status, in Lebanon, most of the coastal beach fronts are owned by private people and companies, all associated with politicians and other corrupt entities.

As Minister Aridi indicates, the manner in which these initially public properties turn private, is by the politicians enacting temporary - sometimes as temporarily as 48 hours - laws to lift the protection off the land long enough for themselves or their cronies to purchase the land from the public sector, then revert the law back to prevent anyone else from doing the same.

The result is that today, 75% of Lebanon's beaches and ocean front properties are owned by big, powerful and corrupt politicians or their cronies, and they build these huge ugly monsters right on the water, thus blocking the view and denying access to ordinary Lebanese to their own beaches by imposing expensive and "exclusive" fees.

This is a killer of tourism. It is corruption. It is discrimination. And it is stealing the land from its rightful owners: The Lebanese people.

Thank you Mr. Aridi, for bringing this up. But the question is: CAn you stop it? Or will you be bought by Hariri and his ilk with a couple of millions so you shut up?

Aridi Slams Illegal Land Reclamation Along Lebanese Coast

Caretaker Transport and Public Works Minister Ghazi Aridi has said that illegal land reclamation on state properties along the Lebanese coast is ongoing and vowed to follow up on the issue no matter which political party interferes.
"These violations can never be the right way for promoting tourism in the country," he told a news conference at the ministry on Tuesday.

"Are these (the violations) a favor for Lebanese society and to improve tourism or (they are aimed at) categorizing people and violating their rights in using the beach?" Aridi wondered.

The minister showed reporters photos and video clips of violations that are taking place since several weeks on the coast of Byblos, north of Beirut.

He said it was not acceptable to encroach into government properties under the pretext of serving tourism Lebanon, especially since tourists are complaining about the expensive services.

"I am not talking about the violations of the government maritime properties which took place years ago but also about new ones," he added.

Lebanon: A Hostile and Abusive Country

I know traffic in Beirut. And I know how VIPs are driven around traffic jams, in convoys of huge aggressive SUVs that blare their alarms and horns at ordinary drivers to get out of the way. I was once beaten by a Lebanese Forces convoy driving Bashir Gemayel because I could not get out of the way rapidly enough. That was during the civil war when militias run the place. But today, there is a so-called "state" in Lebanon.

Yet there it goes again: The son of the UN's Security Chief in Lebanon, Frenchman Matthieu Faivre [An-Nahar is such a shitty newspaper that they can't even spell people's names], found himself in a similar situation yesterday in Beirut. He probably did not realize what was going on as a convoy of huge SUVs suddenly appeared behind him demanding that he cedes the way. Coming from a civilized country where no one - not even army people and criminals - is above the law, he probably did not understand the abusive, hostile language of huge SUVs sounding alarms behind him and aggressively demanding the right of way.

His reward by the "civilized" Lebanese army: to put a bag over his head, kidnap him, beat him up for 2 hours, break his bones, and return him to the street where he was picked up. That's how it is done in barbaric Arab countries like Lebanon. You get out of the way or else.... If such a thing can happen to someone whose father is the UN's Chief of Security in Lebanon, can you imagine what the ordinary Lebanese people have to put up with, and no one ever hears about it? Matthieu Faivre has a diplomatic passport. You'd think the fucking Lebanese army bullies would respect that?

This is the country that wants tourists to come. This is the country that wants its emigres and exiles to return and invest. This is the country I, for one, will never return to as long as savages are let loose like this by a government of corrupt feudals and religious neanderthals.

Lebanon will not regain the glory of the 1950s and 1960s. It will never again be the Paris or the Switzerland of the Middle East. It has descended into hell and has never returned. It has descended into barbarity and has stayed there. The mentality of the war is till there, a mentality of militias and gunmen and macho bullies running around with their big testicles and without any brains or hearts.

Lebanon has become like a little Syria. A country of secret police, security services, outlaw militias like Hezbollah with their own armies and security zones. Lebanon is not worth any tourist going to visit or spend any money because you will suffer from the bullying, the bureaucracy, the corruption, the pollution, the garbage (real garbage and human garbage), beggars at every corner. Lebanon is a dangerous country where women are raped, maids are abused, and people are killed and abused like flies for no reason at all.

After all, the Muslims run the country now, and like in any other Muslim country, fatalism and a sordid reliance on God make people highly irresponsible, attributing all agency to change their own reality to God's will. Islam is "surrender" indeed: You surrender any initiative, any thinking, everything. So garbage is OK (such is God's will), dirty streets are fine (that's God's will), unemployment is also God's will, crime, corruption and abusive governments, that's fine too. It must be God's will. All the ills of the word are accepted as acts of divine will. So the entire construct of a country like this is one where humans have no incentive whatsoever to improve their lives and things slowly deteriorate, from the aesthetic down to the essential.

I despise my country of birth because of all the harm it does to its people. No wonder that Khalil Gibran, whom the Lebanese stupidly celebrate, hated the country - actually he hated the people because who can blame the country itself? He told the Lebanese: You have your Lebanon, and I have my Lebanon. Your Lebanon is all that is bad about the country, and my Lebanon is all that is good about it.

Unfortunately for the country, and posthumously for Gibran, right now it is only the bad Lebanon that is on display, while the good Lebanon has receded in the past or in the highlands of the mountains, nowhere to be seen.

Army: Frenchman Beaten by Army after Blocking Convoy Carrying Criminal
(From An-Nahar)
Frenchman Mathieu Fever was briefly arrested and beaten by the army after obstructing a convoy transferring a dangerous criminal, the military said in a statement Friday correcting media reports that he been kidnapped by unknown assailants.
The daily An Nahar, which carried the report, said Fever was seized at 5:00 pm on Wednesday as he drove his car in Beirut's Badaro neighborhood.

Fever is the son of Jean-Francois Fever who is in charge of security in U.N. agencies, including the office of Prosecutor of the Special Tribunal for Lebanon Daniel Bellemare.

In a statement, the army said Fever ignored several alarm signals from the convoy.

Fever was released once his identity was confirmed, the statement said, adding the military was investigating the incident and will take punitive measures in case of violations.

An Nahar said the attackers in a four-wheeler wrapped up Fever's head in a plastic bag and took him to an unknown destination.

It said Fever was beaten up before being released two hours later with a broken leg and returned to Badaro where he was abducted.

The Frenchman, who carries a diplomatic passport, had filed a complaint with Lebanese authorities.

Syria occupies Lebanese Territory: Where's the Outrage?

Every time an Israeli plane flies over Lebanese territory, the Lebanese government - which is dominated by Hariri's Sunni Muslims - a huge outrage ensues. Complaints are filed with the UN, Siniora and Hariri, and of course Hezbollah and the poodle Lebanese Army, all cry foul and decry the "enemy violations" and so on and so forth.

Now Hariri and Siniora are supposedly "pro-Western" and "anti-Syrian, which in theory should make them "pro-peace" and at least "pro-negotiations" to settle the puny Israeli-Lebanese border issues, which in fact are all caused by Syria's refusal to recognize the Shebaa Farms as Lebanese.

But that is a long convoluted story that many people don't understand, and who prefer to live with the simplistic dichotomy of pro-Syrian and Anti-Syrian divide in Lebanese politics.

The fact is, as the news below shows, when Syria invades and seizes Lebanese territory, even the anti-Syrians don;t even bother to denounce the aggression and the violation. By treating Syria, which is a foreign country that occupied Lebanon for more than 30 years and killing more than 100,000 people there before withdrawing in 2005, as an innocuous invader whose aggressions are "brotherly", HAriri and Sunni Muslims prove to many Lebanese that they are no different from Hezbollah: RAbid pan-Arab, pan-Islamic nationalism at the expense of basic concepts of patriotism and international law.

When Syria gets away so easily on such major incursions and aggressions against Lebanon, Syria believes therefore that Lebanon is its own and can do what it wants. Thus, let the Hariris and the Sinioras not be surprised when Syria treats Lebanon like its toilet, killing people like cockroaches and invading and agressing at will, because no one ever complains over its violations of Lebanese sovereignty - even its supposed enemies Hariri and the MArch 14 bunch of degenerates.

The double standard between Israel and Syria is the best proof that the Lebanese brand of "Sovereignty, Independence and Freedom" as espoused by March 14 and its Sunni leaders is really fake.

Syrian Deployment in Outskirts of Kfarqouq Town in Rashaya
Syrian forces have expended their deployment in the area of Dawrat Manqaa al-Touffaha in Rashaya after military units moved into the area near the town of Kfarqouq, al-Mustaqbal daily reported Saturday.
The newspaper added that Syrian troops which are based on the border also deployed in the areas of Daydiyyeh, Mrah al-Heet and Khirbet Meshemshe that fall in the territory of Kfarqouq.

The soldiers brought it military and human reinforcements, al-Mustaqbal said. It quoted sources as wondering why the Syrian troops are upgrading their presence in the area and moving into Lebanese territories at a time when Beirut-Damascus ties are improving.

The sources added that this infiltration would put obstacles on demarcation of the Lebanese-Syrian border.

Illiteracy Highest Among Hezbollah's Followers- We Ask Hassan: Where's the Beef?

The UN's latest report, "Lebanon's fourth National Human Development Report (NHDR): Towards a Citizen's State," highlights a discrepancy in adult reading rates between urban and rural regions, with the lowest illiteracy rates in Hezbollah's strongholds of the South and the Bekaa.

The report may be downloaded from:
http://arabstates.undp.org/NHDR%20Full%20Report_En_LR.pdf

For example, adult literacy (measured among those above 15 years of age) is highest in Beirut at 94%. In contrast, the illiteracy rate is 16.7% in the mostly Shiite South around the Hezbollah stronghold of Nabatieh, and 16.8% in the other Hezbollah Shiite stronghold of the Bekaa Valley.

In the 1970s and 1980s, the Shiite community blamed the Lebanese State for the backwardness and poverty among the Shiites of Lebanon. The two Shiite organizations of Amal (backed by Syria) and Hezbollah (backed by Iran) proceeded to wage war - mostly through terrorism means - against the Lebanese State throughout the 1980s.

Today the Lebanese State has been entirely pushed out of the two areas under Hezbollah's control (Amal having superficially re-joined the "legitimate State institutions") where Hezbollah is "credited" by idiot liberals in the West for having provided the "poor", "disenfranchised" and "dispossessed" Shiites of Lebanon with unprecedented "social, educational, and health" services, thus justifying Hezbollah's attack against the Lebanese State and its supplanting it in those areas.

The fact is that the lies and fallacies of this proposition are everywhere to be seen, including the reported just published by the UN:
- Hezbollah has not provided the Shiite community the services claimed
- Hezbollah has only spent millions of dollars it receives from Iran on weapons and on its warmongering and terrorist activities.
- In fact, Hezbollah has resorted to all kinds of illegal activities (drugs, diamond trade, pirated movies, etc. as has been amply documented on this blog) to funnel money into its military activities, while forcing the Lebanese Shiite community into regressing on education, health, and general development. Women in particular have been forced to stay at home, shun education, and wear Islamic clothing in exchange for monthly payments doled out from Iranian funds.

This is not development. This is backward Islamic rule that is seen everywhere Islamic fundamentalists run the show (PAkistan, Afghanistan, Iran, etc...) and people are fed up with Moslem clergy from 8th century vintage trying to run the lives of young, modern, eager to grow people in those countries.

The fallacy of the "good" that Hezbollah has done to the Lebanese community is demonstrated by the UN Report. Hezbollah should be dismantled, disarmed, and the young LEbanese Shiites who continue to be forcibly recruited into the terror organization ought to benefit, like the rest of the Lebanese communities, from the educational and health resources that the Lebanese State can provide. If there are any failings by the Lebanese State, they are, first, not targeted at the Shiite community, and second, they are due to Lebanon's overall social-political diseases of feudalism, tribalism, religious authority and the like.

The salvation of all the LEbanese, Shiite or otherwise, lies in supporting a strong, modern, reformed Lebanese State, and in forever uncoupling Lebanon from the cesspool of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict that only the Lebanese, among all the coward Arabs, have been forced to deal with.
