الكلب السوري يوصي بالمقاومة... ولكن شلون ما في مقاومة على الجولان؟* Translation below

الكلب السوري بشار الأسد

* Syrian Dog-in-Chief Bashar Assad (and his really ugly Bitch-in-Chief Bouthaina Shaaban) recommend 'Resistance'...But wait a minute, how come there is no resistance on the Golan Heights?

The answer: The Syrians have always been "lions" in Lebanon (during their occupation of Lebanon), but "jackals" (and jackasses too) on the Golan.
--------------------------------------------------------
The Syrian dog was barking from Doha yesterday at the Arab summit. This dictator-prince, who inherited his presidency from his despot daddy and who continues to arrest and torture more dissidents and writers, said:

"...armed 'resistance' must continue...", in reference to groups like Hezbollah in Lebanon and Hamas in Palestine.

This vulgar and barbaric idiot dummy also said: "Resistance is a national and patriotic and moral duty and it is the only option. Peace cannot be achieved with an enemy who does not believe in peace without it being imposed on him by resistance."

Now, for those readers who don't know, there has NEVER BEEN ANY ARMED RESISTANCE BY SYRIA AGAINST ISRAEL, even though:
- Israel has attacked Syrian terrorist and nuclear sites twice over the last 2 years.
- Israel not only occupies the Golan Heights, but it has also annexed it.
- There has never been "resistance" movements inside Syria fighting across the Israeli-Syrian border (as is the case in Lebanon with Hezbollah=Zebbollah)
- Every 6 months, Syria votes with Israel at the UN to renew the mandate of the UN Observer Mission on the Golan Heights.
- Since 1974, while Syria has abided religiously by the cease-fire agreement with Israel on the Golan Heights, it has prevented Lebanon from signing a similar cease-fire, has encouraged Palestinian and Iranian armed groups from waging "resistance" against Israel from Lebanon (but not from Syria).
- Syria has negotiated many many times with Israel, directly and indirectly, but has branded anyone in Lebanon who wants to undertake similar negotiations between Lebanon and Israel as a "traitor".
- There has never been an armed group (or groups) of nationalist Syrians who were dedicated to liberating the occupied Golan Heights and who operated along the Syrian-Israeli border by launching rockets and missiles on Israeli settlements and kidnapping Israeli "enemy" soldiers. Why? Either the Syrians are too dumb to think like normal people, or they are cowards, or their dictator Bashar does not let them do "resistance"... No one knows the real reason, but it's fact: There is no Syrian resistance against Israeli.

Until when will this hypocrisy continue?
Until when will Syria remain the cowardly Arab dog of a nation that avoids any confrontation with Israel, gets bombed by Israel, is occupied by Israel, but has never fired a single bullet against the "Israeli enemy"?
Until when will the idiotic Lebanese who were forced like prostitutes into this "resistance" business by Syria continue to praise Syria, even as it has assassinated dozens of Lebanese political leaders and has caused 30 years of war in Lebanon just to avoid fighting Israel?

THE PRIDE OF LEBANON: ITS "SPERM" CANDIDATES

Two of the country’s “Sperm” Candidates for Parliament:

His Credentials: Was once a sperm in Bashir Gemayel’s left testicle.
His Political Program: To use his own right testicle to generate a future Gemayel militia leader.

Her Credentials: Was once a sperm in Gebrane Tueni’s right testicle.
Her Political Program: To pioneer the use of ovaries in generating a future Tueni politician-journalist.

Indeed, the highly educated Lebanese people are very fortunate that
their political leaders are always fertile.
Otherwise, the country would soon run out of politicians.

How Does Hezbollah Keep Pressure on Lebanese Government?

By maintaining in their so-called "Security Zones" heavily armed Shiite gangs that run drug trafficking, weapons smuggling and all kinds of outlaw activity.

The Zuayter and Jaafar clans are the best examples. They are Shiite, they operate without any hindrance from Hezbollah inside Hezbollah's Security Zones, and they grow Hashish and other drug-generating crops in areas such as the Bekaa Valley and the city of Baalbeck which are under Hezbollah's control. In fact, one can argue that these gangs operate with Hezbollah's implicit blessing, since Hezbollah never intercepted them and has always tolerated them, for no other small reason than because Hezbollah relies on them to protect its own drug and weapons smuggling routes along the Lebanese- Syrian border. Hezbollah has long claimed to be a "clean" "incorruptible" organization that provides social services to the "poor and disenfranchised" Shiite community in Lebanon, and accuses the Lebanese State of being derelict in providing those services.

Meanwhile, the "poor and disenfranchised" Shiites of Lebanon are all, through Hezbollah's agency, on the payroll of Iran's Islamic Republic. Monthly stipends are generously doled out to those families in which men grow beards and women wear the veil, as well as to those families who volunteer their sons to serve in Hezbollah. Houses that are demolished during Hezbollah's adventures against Israel are quickly compensated with thousands of dollars.

Lately, Hezbollah has been reported to be funding itself through pirated films (See Lebanon Iznogood: http://lebanoniznogood.blogspot.com/2009/03/hezbollah-funding-part-4-pirated-films.html) and from drug trafficking alongside the Mexican drug cartels along the US-Mexican border (See Lebanon Iznogood: http://lebanoniznogood.blogspot.com/2009/03/hezbollah-funding-part-5-us-mexican.html). The other sources of funding are Iran and Syria, cigarette smuggling in the US, the diamond trade in Africa, and allocations from the Lebanese government whereby the salary of every soldier in the Lebanese army is deducted by a 7% tax that is paid to Hezbollah under the pretext that Hezbollah is doing the work of the army by "defending" Lebanon against the "Israeli aggression").

And now we find that the Lebanese army yesterday suffered three casualties as a result of attacks by the Shiite gangs of Zuayter and Jaafar in the Baalbeck area under Hezbollah's control. It is time to expose Hezbollah's many lies and its treason to the Lebanese army by allowing their own drug- and weapons-smuggling gangs to kill Lebanese soldiers. Conversely, the Lebanese State should stop its own lies about Hezbollah being a "resistance", stop funding Hezbollah from the meager salaries of Lebanese army soldiers, and say clearly that the drug- and weapons-running gangs it is battling in the Bekaa Valley are mere fronts for Hezbollah. One day soon, the Lebanese army will be faced with battling Hezbollah directly, and that should be no surprise to anyone who is hiding their heads in the sand today.

Hezbollah Funding Part 5: US-Mexican Drug Routes

Hezbollah Uses Mexican Drug Routes Into U.S.
Works Besides Smuggler Cartels to Fund Operations
Sara A. Carter (Contact) - The Washington Times
Friday, March 27, 2009
From: http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2009/mar/27/hezbollah-uses-mexican-drug-routes-into-us/

Hezbollah is using the same southern narcotics routes that Mexican drug kingpins do to smuggle drugs and people into the United States, reaping money to finance its operations and threatening U.S. national security, current and former U.S. law enforcement, defense and counterterrorism officials say.

The Iran-backed Lebanese group has long been involved in narcotics and human trafficking in South America's tri-border region of Paraguay, Argentina and Brazil. Increasingly, however, it is relying on Mexican narcotics syndicates that control access to transit routes into the U.S.

Hezbollah relies on "the same criminal weapons smugglers, document traffickers and transportation experts as the drug cartels," said Michael Braun, who just retired as assistant administrator and chief of operations at the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).

"They work together," said Mr. Braun. "They rely on the same shadow facilitators. One way or another, they are all connected.

"They'll leverage those relationships to their benefit, to smuggle contraband and humans into the U.S.; in fact, they already are [smuggling]."

His comments were confirmed by six U.S. officials, including law enforcement, defense and counterterrorism specialists. They spoke on the condition that they not be named because of the sensitivity of the topic.

While Hezbollah appears to view the U.S. primarily as a source of cash - and there have been no confirmed Hezbollah attacks within the U.S. - the group's growing ties with Mexican drug cartels are particularly worrisome at a time when a war against and among Mexican narco-traffickers has killed 7,000 people in the past year and is destabilizing Mexico along the U.S. border.

Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton was in Mexico on Thursday to discuss U.S. aid. Other U.S. Cabinet officials and President Obama are slated to visit in the coming weeks.

Hezbollah is based in Lebanon. Since its inception after the Israeli invasion of Lebanon in 1982, it has grown into a major political, military and social welfare organization serving Lebanon's large Shi'ite Muslim community.

In 2006, it fought a 34-day war against Israel, which remains its primary adversary. To finance its operations, it relies in part on funding from a large Lebanese Shi'ite Muslim diaspora that stretches from the Middle East to Africa and Latin America. Some of the funding comes from criminal enterprises.

Although there have been no confirmed cases of Hezbollah moving terrorists across the Mexico border to carry out attacks in the United States, Hezbollah members and supporters have entered the country this way.

Last year, Salim Boughader Mucharrafille was sentenced to 60 years in prison by Mexican authorities on charges of organized crime and immigrant smuggling. Mucharrafille, a Mexican of Lebanese descent, owned a cafe in the city of Tijuana, across the border from San Diego. He was arrested in 2002 for smuggling 200 people, said to include Hezbollah supporters, into the U.S.

In 2001, Mahmoud Youssef Kourani crossed the border from Mexico in a car and traveled to Dearborn, Mich. Kourani was later charged with and convicted of providing "material support and resources ... to Hezbollah," according to a 2003 indictment.

A U.S. official with knowledge of U.S. law enforcement operations in Latin America said, "we noted the same trends as Mr. Braun" and that Hezbollah has used Mexican transit routes to smuggle contraband and people into the U.S.

Two U.S. law enforcement officers, familiar with counterterrorism operations in the U.S. and Latin America, said that "it was no surprise" that Hezbollah members have entered the U.S. border through drug cartel transit routes.

"The Mexican cartels have no loyalty to anyone," one of the officials told The Washington Times. "They will willingly or unknowingly aid other nefarious groups into the U.S. through the routes they control. It has already happened. That's why the border is such a serious national security issue."

One U.S. counterterrorism official said that while "there's reason to believe that [Hezbollah members] have looked at the southern border to enter the U.S. ... to date their success has been extremely limited."

However, another U.S. counterterrorism official confirmed that the U.S. is watching closely the links between Hezbollah and drug cartels and said it is "not a good picture."

A senior U.S. defense official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because of ongoing operations in Latin America, warned that al Qaeda also could use trafficking routes to infiltrate operatives into the U.S.

"If I have the money to do it - I want to get somebody across the border - that's a way to do it," the defense official said. "Especially foot soldiers. Somebody who's willing to come and blow themselves up. That's sort of hard to do that kind of recruiting, training and development in Kansas City."

Adm. James G. Stavridis, commander of U.S. Southern Command and the nominee to head NATO troops as Supreme Allied Commander-Europe, testified before the House Armed Services Committee last week that the nexus between illicit drug trafficking - "including routes, profits, and corruptive influence" and "Islamic radical terrorism" is a growing threat to the U.S.

He noted that in August, "U.S. Southern Command supported a Drug Enforcement Administration operation, in coordination with host countries, which targeted a Hezbollah-connected drug trafficking organization in the Tri-Border Area."

In October, another interagency operation led to the arrests of several dozen people in Colombia associated with a Hezbollah-connected drug trafficking and a money-laundering ring. Hezbollah uses these operations to generate millions of dollars to finance Hezbollah operations in Lebanon and other areas of the world, he said.

BLOOMBERG NEWS Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton takes a look at crime-fighting Black Hawk helicopters with Genaro Garcia Luna, Mexico's public security secretary, on Thursday at a federal police base in Mexico City. Mrs. Clinton discussed U.S. aid with Mexican officials.

"Identifying, monitoring and dismantling the financial, logistical, and communication linkages between illicit trafficking groups and terrorist sponsors are critical to not only ensuring early indications and warnings of potential terrorist attacks directed at the United States and our partners, but also in generating a global appreciation and acceptance of this tremendous threat to security," he said.

Mr. Braun, who spent 33 years with the DEA and still works with the organization as a consultant, said that members of the elite Quds, or Jerusalem, Force of Iran's Revolutionary Guards also are showing up in Latin America.

"Quite frankly, I'm not opposed to the belief that they could be commanding and controlling Hezbollah's criminal enterprises from there," Mr. Braun said.

The DEA thinks that 60 percent of terrorist organizations have some ties with the illegal narcotics trade, said agency spokesman Garrison Courtney.

South American drug cartels were forced into developing stronger alliances with Mexican syndicates when the U.S. closed off access from the Caribbean 15 years ago, Mr. Braun said.

Mexico's transit routes now account for more than 90 percent of the cocaine entering the U.S., he said. The emphasis on Mexico intensified after the Sept. 11 attacks, when beefed-up U.S. security measures greatly reduced access to the U.S. by air and water, he said.

The shift put Mexico's drug cartels in the lead and helped them amass billions of dollars and an estimated 100,000 foot soldiers, according to U.S. defense officials.

Hezbollah shifted its trade routes along with the drug cartels, using Lebanese Shi'ite expatriates to negotiate contracts with Mexican crime bosses, Mr. Braun said.

The World Trade Bridge between Nuevo Laredo and its sister city, Laredo, as well as Interstate 35 and Highways 59, 359 and 83, are like veins feeding the Mexican syndicates, running from southern Texas to cities across the U.S. and as far north as Canada, U.S. officials say. In addition, access routes from El Paso, Texas, to San Diego are also high-value entry points.

Lebanon's "Sperm" Candidates for Parliament

The Lebanese political establishment is made up of what one may call "Political Farms". Consider the following individuals:

- Nayla Tueni
- Michel Mouawad
- Sami Gemayel
- Nadim Gemayel
- Ahmad Al-Assaad
- Bassel Berri
- and others to follow on this list...

What do they have in common?

They are all what I call "Sperm Candidates" for Lebanon's upcoming parliamentary elections because their only claim to political power is neither of the following:
- experience
- merit
- leadership qualities
- serious political program (beyond wishful thinking and platitudes)
- rich curriculum vitae
- years as trainees in legislative positions
or any of the other professional qualifications that make anyone qualified for any position. The only claim for political power that these "budding" shoots of Lebanon's political pantheon is that they were once a SPERM in their fathers' testicles.

Current "Sperm Politicians":
- Amin Gemayel
- Tammam Salam
- Walid Jumblatt
- Saad Hariri
- Dory Chamoun
- Carlos Edde
- Bahia Hariri
- Omar Karame
- Sleiman Frangieh
- Samir Frangieh
- Michel and Gabriel (brothers) and Elias (Michel's son) of the Murr political family from the neanderthal cavemen of Bteghrine.
- and many others...

There are also "Sperm by Proxy" candidates, and these are those who acquire political power by marrying into a political family:
- Strida Geagea (married to Samir Geagea)
- Nazik Hariri (married to Rafik Hariri)
- Nayla Mouawad (married to Rene Mouawad)
- Gebran Bassil (married to Michel Aoun's daughter)
- and many others...

You might think this is a joke, but it is not. This is a very serious commentary on the disease of inheritance of political power that is endemic to Lebanon. Other Arab countries that are so-called "republics" (and are not monarchies) suffer from this diseases: Bashar Al-Assad in Syria, the sons of Mouammar Qadhafi and Hosni Mubarak are just about ready to inherit the presidencies of their respective countries.

Of late, I have been harping on Nayla Tueni, for no other reason than her visibility in the news. I actually like the fact that she's a woman trying to make it in the very macho world of Lebanese politics. But for me the overarching issue is this notion that these people think they are entitled to their fathers' political positions simply because they are their fathers' children. While inheritance of money and property on the basis of genetics is generally recognized and accepted by human societies the world over, the inheritance of political power has become similar to the incest taboo: It's just not done anymore in modern enlightened societies and is only done in backwards and primitive countries like Lebanon.

Here is an example of Nayla Tueni's stunning intellect - Note the fascinating level of detail and precision she provides when discussing her political "program" and her promises to her constituency:
- "...regarding the issue of Beirut’s seaside, health insurance as well as other problems..."
- "...to raise people’s voice and demands."
That's it. Those two vague half-ass statements are her political "program". Otherwise, read on about all her sentimental crap about the now-comatose March 14 political platform that is nothing but a bunch of dinosaurs who once were Syria's top collaborators under the Syrian occupation and made millions off the back of the shell-shocked and impoverished Lebanese people, but then changed their minds when Syria began assassinating them.

Long Live the political farms of Lebanon and the religious barns that support them.

Headline: "Tueni: Safety is our weapon to face those jeopardizing Lebanon"
March 22, 2009

Candidate for the Beirut I district’s Greek Orthodox seat, Nayla Tueni, said that through the assassination of her father, former MP Gebran Tueni, “they wanted to make people desperate and to kill the people’s enthusiasm.” She added, however, that “this should not happen and safety should be our weapon to confront anyone who wants to jeopardize the country.”

During a meeting with citizens from Ashrafieh, Rmeil and Saifi on Saturday, Tueni told them they would have the chance to have their say “for the first time in decades” during the upcoming parliamentary elections. Tueni promised to fulfill the district’s basic demands upon arriving in parliament, regarding the issue of Beirut’s seaside, health insurance as well as other problems.

Tueni said the electoral picture had become clear in the Beirut I district, whereby the March 14 alliance’s list would include current Future MP Michel Pharaon, Nadim Gemayel and herself facing the opposition’s list. She noted that both lists were still waiting to clarify their Armenian candidates.

Tueni said the March 14 alliance had paid in blood for its independent and sovereign stance. She called for preserving the March 14 alliance’s legacy, recalling when hundreds of thousands of people demonstrated in Martyrs’ Square in 2005.

She said March 14 was a group of principles and ideas whose naming might change, however the basics for which they struggled would remain unchanged.

Tueni urged the attendees to remain in contact with her, and express their ideas and projects in order to achieve objectives “hand in hand.”

She said Lebanese-Syrian relations had to be natural and normal, noting that if she became an MP she would deploy all her efforts to raise people’s voice and demands.

Zebbollah's New Logo

Note: For those who are illiterate in the Arabic language, Zebbollah (The Phallus of God) is a distortion of Hezbollah (The Party of God). Some of you may recognize the Arabic root "Zebb" in such English words as Belzebuth (one of Satan's names) which is a derivation from Baalzebub, itself a pre-Arabic semitic name for Satan meaning "the Lord of the Phalluses" (Baal = Lord or god, and "zebub" is the plural of "zebb" = phallus). Hence, it all makes sense now with the convergent evolution from Hezbollah > Zebbollah > Satan.

Pathetic Britain & Filthy Lebanon

How can the filthy Siniora-Sleiman-Berri regime in Beirut claim to be fighting terrorism and kiss ass and beg for money from the West, while a criminal like Omar Bakri Mohammed - who was kicked out of Britain for "hate preaching" - sits in Beirut threatening Britain with a new 9/11 attack? Why the fuck is Bakri, who is not Lebanese, given shelter by the Lebanese government?

How can the pathetic British government pretend to be defending their people by cowering to fanatic Islam and surrendering to its threats, since it recently announced it will conduct talks with Hezbollah - the exact same piece of terrorist Islamic shit as Bakri, except Hezbollah is Shiite shit, while Bakri is Sunni shit?

FANATICS IN NEW OUTRAGE
Hate preacher Bakri's rant was broadcast by Anjem Choudary

By David Pilditch and Martin Evans

FURY erupted last night after exiled preacher of hate was allowed to address a public meeting and warn of fresh terror attacks on Britain. The fundamentalist cleric came out of hiding to issue a chilling warning that Britain should prepare for a September 11-style atrocity.

Speaking from his bolthole in Lebanon, Bakri, who was kicked out of Britain four years ago, gave his support to fanatics who abused brave British soldiers in a vile attack during their homecoming parade in Luton last week.

Addressing a meeting held at an east London hotel by telephone, he said British troops had declared war on Islam and must suffer the consequences – along with innocent civilians. “You want to declare war against us, we will declare Islam against you,” he said. “It is time for you to wake up before it is too late.

“If you put pressure on Muslims and push them underground, people will come and rise and retaliate against you. You want to declare war against us, we will declare Islam against you"

“The 7/7 bombers were just ordinary Muslims in the community. It shows how your evil policies have pushed them. Enough is enough.”

Despite the highly incendiary nature of the remarks, Scotland Yard last night refused to take any action against the organisers of the meeting. A spokesman said: “A formal complaint will have to be made before an investigation could be considered.”

Conservative MP Patrick Mercer, the chairman of the Commons counter terrorism sub committee, said it was time the Government acted to stop such activities taking place.

Young Nayla Tueni & Old Michel Aoun - Dynasties Colliding & Colluding

Now that Nayla Tueni's candidacy has come to the forefront because of Michel Aoun's request that she withdraw from the campaign because of her "lack of experience", it seems to me that this is precisely the problem that confronts the Lebanese people in their political establishment. It's all about entitlements: Nayla thinks she deserves the seat because she once was a sperm in her late father Gebran's testicle; and Michel Aoun thinks she should get out of the way because she is not yet part of the Seniors Club that runs the country.

There is nothing to say about this pathetic display of Lebanese politics, other to point out that Nayla has yet to announce the so-called "political program" she promised she would announce back in February. I re-post the following commentary I posted when I first heard about Nayla's candidacy.
----------------------------------------------------
Lebanon Iznogood - February 5, 2009
Another "Gonadal" Transfer of Power in Beirut: The Tueni Dynasty

To confirm to themselves and to the world that all other Lebanese are no more than dung heaps not worth the flies that hover around their political corpses, here is another Lebanese dynasty - a progressive one, mind you, like the Jumblatts - that just announced it is transferring power from one generation to another using the most primitive criterion for public office: the meeting of one sperm with one egg.

Nayla Tueni, the daughter of late MP Gebran Tueni who was assassinated a couple of years ago by Syrian proxies in Beirut, has announced her candidacy for Beirut’s first district's Greek Orthodox Christian seat which was held by her father. The district includes Beirut’s neighborhoods of Achrafieh, Saifi and Rmeil.

Of course, to confirm the collusion of Lebanon's political establishment with the religious Mafias that rule the country, Nayla and her grandfather MP Ghassan Tueni (who inherited the parliamentary seat after his son's assassination) paid a visit to the Greek Orthodox Archbishop Elias Audi on Thursday to receive his blessing.

And to give the gonadal charade a semblance of normality, Nayla said that she would announce the details of her electoral program in a press conference to be held later, and stressed that she supported the Cedars Revolution and March 14 alliance (itself consisting of people who inherited the political mantle from their fathers, sons, uncles, aunts, cousins and other genetic relatives: Gemayel, Jumblatt, Hariri, Chamoun, and others.)

The message to ordinary Lebanese: You are a bunch of idiots and we, the political feudal, religious establishment, don't trust that you can handle political power like we do. Just stay in your corner and we will continue to steer this wrecked ship called Lebanon that has been aimlessly roaming the seas for 4 decades with no safe harbor in sight.

When will all the educated Lebanese people declare their rejection of this nepotistic and corrupt practice of transferring political power like primitive people do?

Will the Lebanese people finally rise up to the challenge and reject their butchers who have misled them many times to their own demise?

Will the Lebanese people use the coming elections in June 2009 to discard the Tuenis, Jumblatts, Chamouns, Gemayels, Aouns, Frangiehs, Salams, Hariris, Arslans, Eddes and others in the trash bin of history, and instead elect their own educated, professionals, technocrats, engineers, doctors, professors, lawyers etc. who at least have proven themselves on their own merits?

VOTE FOR YOURSELF - DON'T VOTE FOR THE POLITICAL DYNASTIES that have been killing you for 4 decades.

The Fallacy of Freedom of Opinion in Lebanon

As collaborators under the Syrian occupation, Siniora government ministers have learned the trick of the trade of totalitarianism and repression from their Syrian bosses. Every other day, there are news of repression of all forms of expression (artistic, political, etc.) in a country that brags about being the "freest" in the Middle East and which is desperately trying to lure Western tourists and Lebanese expatriates to the country.
Here is an example of how established regimes in the Middle East do their utmost to repress free expression, especially when it threatens their power. The Siniora government has colluded with the Ben Ali dictatorship in Tunisia to ban a Tuinsian dissident (living in exile in France) from giving a lecture in Beirut.
I do note the vulgarity of this collusion because while the Siniora government is vehemently "anti-Israeli", arresting people on the mere suspicion of "collaborating with the enemy", the Tunisian dictatorship has long had a cozy relationship with the "enemy" (trade offices, secret negotiations, cultural exchanges).

Lebanon Bars Tunisian Dissident
A prominent Tunisian opposition leader accused his government on Tuesday of pressuring Lebanon into denying him a visa for a lecture about democracy in the Arab world.

Moncef Marzouki, who has called on Tunisians to engage in civil disobedience against their government, was due to give a lecture at the Orient Institute in Beirut on Tuesday. But the German institute was told by Lebanon's General Security, which vets visa applications, that Marzouki would not be allowed into the country. "We got news from General Security that his visa was denied," said Suzanne Kassab, a fellow at the institute, adding that Lebanese officials did not give a reason.

Marzouki told Agence France Presse (AFP) from Paris, where he lives in exile, that he believed Tunisia had pressured Lebanon into barring him from the country. "There was clear security coordination between Lebanon and Tunisia," he said. "Lebanon didn't want to upset Tunisian authorities." No one at General Security was immediately available for comment.

Marzouki said he had been charged in Tunisia with threatening public security after calling for a boycott of elections and civil disobedience against the government of President Habib Bourguiba.(AFP)

Brit Fags Still Have Brains

After much agony, and to the visible chagrin of one Robert Fisk, the brain of the British government fags overruled their masochistic inclination to be ass-fucked by all the radical Muslims of the world. They now have relinquished the pleasure of meeting with the fanatic Lebanese Muslim Ibrahim Moussawi, and after much controversy over the decision, yesterday finally denied him a visa to enter Britain. Moussawi, a Lebanese "journalist" who edits Zebbollah's (The Male Gonad of God) main newspaper, is said to have been refused a visa by Jacqui Smith, the Home Secretary, on the grounds that his presence would not be "conducive to the public good".

Well put, Jacqui. Yet, other faggots of the British government, mainly the Foreign Office, still want to talk to the "political wing" of Zebbollah, the Lebanese Shiite terror organization, as if this missile-laden bird can fly with just one wing. Now, Moussawi, as a "journalist" and a "spokesman", is presumably a member of the "political", not "military", wing of the terrorist bird. Hence, the quandary! For how can they talk to Moussawi and not give him a visa?

This must be a huge disappointment for Robert Fisk, who after sleeping in Moussawi's bed for decades in the southern suburbs of Beirut, was finally dying to host him at his own home in the UK.

Moussawi's curriculum vitae is rich: He was banned from the Republic of Ireland in 2007 when working for the al-Manar television station which broadcasts from Beirut and is the mouthpiece of the terror organization. The station was blocked from broadcasting in France for inflammatory Islamic propaganda. A recent article in the New Yorker magazine has quoted Moussawi as saying that Jews are "a lesion on the forehead of history".

Lest the British fags forget, Moussawi's Zebbollah in the 1980s kidnapped and held in atrocious conditions for several years many British citizens (and scores of other Western hostages), including Terry Waite, Brian Keenan and many many others. Too bad they missed Robert Fisk; I imagine that after, say, 6 years of being chained to a wall in a dingy basement in the southern suburb of Beirut; and being fed on the floor like a dog; and being carried around wrapped like a mummy and taped to the muffler of a car... Who knows? He might be singing a different tune today!

Sad but True

Washington - The following is Chas Freeman's full statement following his decision not to serve as National Intelligence Council chairman.

You will by now have seen the statement by Director of National Intelligence Dennis Blair reporting that I have withdrawn my previous acceptance of his invitation to chair the National Intelligence Council.

I have concluded that the barrage of libelous distortions of my record would not cease upon my entry into office. The effort to smear me and to destroy my credibility would instead continue. I do not believe the National Intelligence Council could function effectively while its chair was under constant attack by unscrupulous people with a passionate attachment to the views of a political faction in a foreign country. I agreed to chair the NIC to strengthen it and protect it against politicization, not to introduce it to efforts by a special interest group to assert control over it through a protracted political campaign.

As those who know me are well aware, I have greatly enjoyed life since retiring from government. Nothing was further from my mind than a return to public service. When Admiral Blair asked me to chair the NIC I responded that I understood he was "asking me to give my freedom of speech, my leisure, the greater part of my income, subject myself to the mental colonoscopy of a polygraph, and resume a daily commute to a job with long working hours and a daily ration of political abuse." I added that I wondered "whether there wasn't some sort of downside to this offer." I was mindful that no one is indispensable; I am not an exception. It took weeks of reflection for me to conclude that, given the unprecedentedly challenging circumstances in which our country now finds itself abroad and at home, I had no choice but accept the call to return to public service. I thereupon resigned from all positions that I had held and all activities in which I was engaged. I now look forward to returning to private life, freed of all previous obligations.

I am not so immodest as to believe that this controversy was about me rather than issues of public policy. These issues had little to do with the NIC and were not at the heart of what I hoped to contribute to the quality of analysis available to President Obama and his administration. Still, I am saddened by what the controversy and the manner in which the public vitriol of those who devoted themselves to sustaining it have revealed about the state of our civil society. It is apparent that we Americans cannot any longer conduct a serious public discussion or exercise independent judgment about matters of great importance to our country as well as to our allies and friends.

The libels on me and their easily traceable email trails show conclusively that there is a powerful lobby determined to prevent any view other than its own from being aired, still less to factor in American understanding of trends and events in the Middle East. The tactics of the Israel Lobby plumb the depths of dishonor and indecency and include character assassination, selective misquotation, the willful distortion of the record, the fabrication of falsehoods, and an utter disregard for the truth. The aim of this Lobby is control of the policy process through the exercise of a veto over the appointment of people who dispute the wisdom of its views, the substitution of political correctness for analysis, and the exclusion of any and all options for decision by Americans and our government other than those that it favors.

There is a special irony in having been accused of improper regard for the opinions of foreign governments and societies by a group so clearly intent on enforcing adherence to the policies of a foreign government - in this case, the government of Israel. I believe that the inability of the American public to discuss, or the government to consider, any option for US policies in the Middle East opposed by the ruling faction in Israeli politics has allowed that faction to adopt and sustain policies that ultimately threaten the existence of the state of Israel. It is not permitted for anyone in the United States to say so. This is not just a tragedy for Israelis and their neighbors in the Middle East; it is doing widening damage to the national security of the United States.

The outrageous agitation that followed the leak of my pending appointment will be seen by many to raise serious questions about whether the Obama administration will be able to make its own decisions about the Middle East and related issues. I regret that my willingness to serve the new administration has ended by casting doubt on its ability to consider, let alone decide what policies might best serve the interests of the United States rather than those of a Lobby intent on enforcing the will and interests of a foreign government.

In the court of public opinion, unlike a court of law, one is guilty until proven innocent. The speeches from which quotations have been lifted from their context are available for anyone interested in the truth to read. The injustice of the accusations made against me has been obvious to those with open minds. Those who have sought to impugn my character are uninterested in any rebuttal that I or anyone else might make.

Still, for the record: I have never sought to be paid or accepted payment from any foreign government, including Saudi Arabia or China, for any service, nor have I ever spoken on behalf of a foreign government, its interests, or its policies. I have never lobbied any branch of our government for any cause, foreign or domestic. I am my own man, no one else's, and with my return to private life, I will once again - to my pleasure - serve no master other than myself. I will continue to speak out as I choose on issues of concern to me and other Americans.

I retain my respect and confidence in President Obama and DNI Blair. Our country now faces terrible challenges abroad as well as at home. Like all patriotic Americans, I continue to pray that our president can successfully lead us in surmounting them

To British Fags who want to "Talk" to Zebbollah: Hear Ye, Hear Ye...

Zebbollah chief: We won’t recognize Israel even in 1,000 years

Zebbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah said that his organization would "never recognize Israel".

"We reject the Americans' demand… Today, tomorrow, in 1,000 years and even at the end of time – as long as Zebbollah exists it won't recognize Israel," Nasrallah said in a recorded speech aired in Beirut during celebrations of the Muslim prophet Muhammad's birthday.

US to UK: Explain Difference between Hezbollah's Military and Political Wings

Senior US government official expresses displeasure with British decision to resume talks with Hezbollah.

WASHINGTON - A senior US official said Thursday he was unhappy with a British decision to open low-level contact with Hezbollah and suggested London only indirectly informed the new administration ahead of time.

The remarks contrasted with those last week from the State Department which said US officials had been informed about the move in advance and gave no sign of displeasure -- even if Washington was not ready to follow London's lead.

The senior US government official, speaking on the condition of anonymity to a group of journalists in Washington, clearly expressed discomfort with the British decision.

He said he would like the British to explain to him "the difference between the political, military and social wings of Hezbollah because we don’t see a difference between the integrated leadership that they see." [See Lebanon Iznogood's posting of March 5: "You can always count on the F------ Brits"]

In London, British Foreign Secretary David Miliband said March 6 that Britain had authorized low-level contact with the political wing of Lebanon's Hezbollah.

He underscored the need to curb Iran's influence with the Lebanese group and others in the region in a statement immediately hailed by Hezbollah.

The US government official, when asked if London consulted Washington ahead of time, replied: "I would say informed under a previous administration is a more accurate description."

He was apparently referring to the administration of president George W. Bush, which was succeeded January 20 by that of President Barack Obama.

The official also objected to the glorification in the Hezbollah stronghold of south Beirut of Imad Mugnieh, a Hezbollah commander who was killed in a car bombing in February 2008, allegedly by Israel.

When a journalist suggested he did not sound happy with the British decision, he replied: "No."

Last week, Gordon Duguid, a State Department spokesman said "we are not ready to take the same step" that the British took, declining to either praise or criticize it.

However, the Obama administration, which has talked about engaging US foes, seemed interested in the results of the British contacts with Hezbollah when Duguid said "we will watch how that proceeds."

And in sharp contrast to the senior government official, a State Department official told reporters on the condition of anonymity last week that Washington envisioned possible benefits from the British decision.

Lebanese Government Supports Mass Murderer Omar Bashir

Lebanese foreign ministry concerned over Bashir's arrest warrant!!

Here we go again with the pro-Arab, pro-Muslim Lebanese government dogs and lackeys: They are concerned about Israel's killing of 1,000 residents of Gaza as it fought Hamas last Summer to make it stop shelling Israeli towns and villages with Qassam rockets, but they are not concerned about the Arab Muslim dictator Omar Bashir of Sudan and his mass murder of 300,000 Muslim fellow Sudanese in the Darfur region.

Like all the Arab dogs, they defend Saddam's rule (who killed one million Iraqis with nerve gas, assassinations, under torture in prison, and in wars with Iran), but they criticize the US invasion of Iraq because it caused the fanatic Muslims of the Baath and al-Qaeda to kill thousands of their own fellow Muslim Iraqis.

They do the same thing with Syria: In the 30 years of the Syrian occupation of Lebanon (when all the politicians in power today were collaborators with Syria), the Syrian Baathist regime killed upwards of 100,000 Lebanese (many more than the number Israel killed in all its wars in Lebanon), the Syrian regime still holds hundreds, if not thousands, of Lebanese in its prisons, still refuses to recognize Lebanon's right to exist as a distinct independent country, and has assassinated many of its former collaborators (Hariri et al.) in Lebanon who used to be the colleagues of those politicians who today are defending mass murderers Bashar Assad and Omar Bashir.

Go figure the primitive tribal mentality of these people: I am with my "brother" even if he kills my family and destroys my house, but I am against the "stranger" even if he never did anything to me. Arabs are driven by primal rules of kinship, not by reason.

You Can Always Count on the Fucking Brits!

UK restores links with Hezbollah

Like the messes they created in India-Pakistan and Israel-Palestine - by dividing up countries and displacing millions of people out of their ancestral homes - the British post-colonial fags are at it again, now that their empire amounts to no more than a pile of turbaned dung squatting in Leeds.

Great Britain wants to divide Lebanon so it can foster the permanent settlement of the Palestinian refugees in the country and take the pressure off of Israel to take them back. Britain is doing that by recognizing the Lebanese Shiite terrorist organization Hezbollah and granting it a legitimacy that was slowly eroding thanks to the decades-old efforts of the Lebanese people.

Now that Hezbollah has reached its nadir, Great Faggot Britain has decided to breathe life into the terrorist cadaver by "talking" to it. Now that the Lebanese have been rallying around the concept of a strong central government and one national army, Great Fucking Britain decides to put more wind into the sails of centrifugal forces like Hezbollah to keep the State of Lebanon weak. This has been the modus operandi of Western policy (mostly the US and Great Britain) over the decades in Lebanon, since a weakened and decaying Lebanon would be more amenable to forcing the permanent settlement of the Palestinian refugees in Lebanon, and thus helping a resolution in Israel-Palestine that would basically be done at the expense of Lebanon.

There is no political versus military wings within Hezbollah. There is only one Hezbollah. To create the appearance of separate political (good) and military (bad) wings within the terrorist organization is to be an accomplice to the criminal enterprise which only yesterday was caught funding itself with millions of dollars from an enormous film pirating industry in Latin America. To recognize a so-called "political" (acceptable) wing of Hezbollah is be a supporter of nuclear Iran, to forget the thousands of Western peacekeepers killed by Hezbollah, to forget the scores of Western hostages who were kidnapped, maimed, held, and some killed, by Hezbollah in the 1980s in Lebanon, and most importantly, it is to ignore the fact that Hezbollah - along with its patron the totalitarian dictatorship in Syria - presents the single most dangerous threat to the existence of Lebanon.

Thank you Great Britain.

Britain says it is re-establishing contacts with the political wing of the Lebanese movement Hezbollah.

The move follows "positive political developments" in Lebanon, officials from the UK Foreign Office said. It comes about 10 months after Hezbollah signed a unity accord in Lebanon and joined the government.

Only last year, the government put Hezbollah's military wing on a list of proscribed organisations over its alleged training of insurgents in Iraq.

"We are exploring certain contacts at an official level with Hezbollah's political wing, including MPs," said a spokesperson for the Foreign Office.

The spokesperson said the UK was doing "all it can" to support Lebanon's unity government, of which Hezbollah's political wing is a part.

"Our objective with Hezbollah remains to encourage them to move away from violence and play a constructive, democratic and peaceful role in Lebanese politics, in line with a range of UN Security Council Resolutions."

The spokesperson said Britain would continue to have no contact with Hezbollah's military wing.

A(nother) Call to the Educated Lebanese People

I posted this last June, and I am re-posting it with modifications as the elections in Lebanon get closer.
--------------------
Like most Lebanese, I want out of the stupid pro-Syrian, pro-Israeli dichotomy in which the Lebanese Sunnis first dragged us with the help of the PLO in the 1970s and 1980s, then the Lebanese Shiites with Hezbollah in the 1980s and 1990s.

As a small, diverse country, Lebanon should - like Switzerland did in Europe - declare its neutrality and not get involved in any of the shitty religious, Cro-Magnon warfare between Jews, Muslims, and Christians and their eternal bloodbaths and competition from the Jurassic era as to whom God chose as the "best people" or "the last prophecy" or "divine progenies" and "virgin impregnations and births". Nor should the Lebanese fall for the inanities of the pan-Arab nationalisms of the Baathists in Syria or the modern versions of Mubarak's Pharaonic dynasty in Egypt or the fabulations of the dictator-on-acid Mouammar Qaddhafi in Lybia, and such other Arab and Islamic divine incarnations on earth.

Like Switzerland, Lebanon should be a secular country and leverage its diversity and its educated people to become the peace-maker, the base for humanitarian conduct, top-notch education, international relief operations, human rights, and other civilized and modern concepts, and extricate itself from the backwards "Wilayat al-Fucker" of Shiite Iran, or the Wahhabi puritan Sunni cretinism from Saudi Arabia and their Koranic barbarity, or the grand and inane theories of Jewish "Chosen People" supremacy that some smelly old men hallucinated about in the Arabian desert some 3,000 years ago, or the fantastic mysteries of how a Jewish girl became pregnant without losing her hymen from an angel and gave birth -still without losing her hymen - to no less of course than the son of God who then died and resurrected from the dead. As Thomas Jefferson once said, one day in the future, the myth of the virgin birth will be relegated to the same primitive Greco-Roman belief that Aphrodite was born from the thigh of Zeus.

The Lebanese people are educated and traveled enough to know better that the future is not to remain chained and enslaved by strange fabrications from the Stone Age. What I propose is for the Lebanese to adhere to the following:

- Declare their country to be secular and neutral, without any judgment on how others around them want to conduct themselves.

- Lebanon should lead the Arab world into an age of enlightenment - true intellectual enlightenment that is:

- Based on Reason, not on sentiment or religion;

- Based on economically and intellectually decentralized freedoms, not on the economic centrism and intellectual oppression of most Arab states and their intellectually castrated Arab journalists and writers of today;

- Based on a bottom-up grassroots, civil society-driven agenda for change and not on top down impotent strategies that only suffocate people;

- Based not on the soapy sentimentalism of grandiose stupidities such as the pan-Syrian Nationalists (aoumiyeh) or the feudalism of the Hariris and Mubaraks and others disguised behind a fake, mercantile, flat-headed, money-based modernism, or the medieval Christian nationalism of the Kataeb or the Lebanese Forces;

- Based on an environmentally-conscious society that respects and protects the forests, rivers and the sea as its most important economic resource, instead of today's mercantile rape of entire mountainsides and forests for ugly buildings, or the disfiguring Euro-trash or US-tacky imitation resorts that are today built along the Lebanese coast by corrupt politicians and their cronies, and in which ordinary Lebanese are denied access to their own beaches by high "exclusive-minded" fees. In every civilized country of the world, the country's resources belong to the people, not to fucking developers with connections to the ruling political elites who ruin the environment to line their pockets and deny the people what is rightfully theirs.

We want out of the archaic past and into the modern world - the real modern world, not the fake, cheap imitation of the modern world that a Hariri or a Gemayel pretend they want to take us to.

When will the hundreds of thousands of educated Lebanese decide to take their future in their own hands? There are elections coming up in 2009. Resolve today not to vote for the same idiot who inherited his seat from his father and grandfather, and who will continue to rape us, rape our country, lie to us, lead us into wars when he disagrees with his opponents or to economic deprivation when he collaborates with his opponent...

The only thing we have in Lebanon is this sliver of democracy called elections. Let's use them to dump the dynasties of the Aoun, Gemayel, Geagea, Hariri, Jumblatt, Arslan, Murr, Berri, and all the other big names and big families that keep us chained to the past with wars and economic deprivation.

Let's elect people from our own ranks - businessmen, educators, human rights activists, professors, economists, journalists, bankers, engineers, lawyers, scientists, doctors, intellectuals, people with a brain and a heart, not people with just a pocket. People who know what they are doing and do it well. People like Banker Riyad Salameh, Human Rights attorneys like Mohammad Mughrabi and Chibli Mallat, Businessman Carlos Ghosn, diplomat and banker Walid Maalouf and so many others who at least have had the courage to come forward and take charge in a good direction. There are many others like them but who have not had the courage yet to come forward but who know they can govern and administer and manage successfully, ethically, responsibly.

We need to empower these people politically by electing them to replace the bastards, jerks and criminals from the big inbred families who run our lives. We are so much better than them. We are educated. We have struggled to educate ourselves, survive in our exiles and at home under the bombs with which they are killing us and our children. This is our country, not theirs. It belongs to us, not them. They owe us good governance and good government, and we owe them nothing. We do not owe them blind tribal or religious or other primitive forms of allegiance. We have to hold them responsible for their failures and for the crimes they committed against us, under the guise of "protecting" us from the Muslims or the Christians or the Jews, from the Syrians or the Israelis, from the Iranians or the Americans, and all the other scapegoat arguments they use to keep us scared like sheep and led slowly to the slaughterhouse.

We no longer want these scumbags to rule over our lives. They are people who hail from behind their daddy's pants or their mommy's skirt, who really think themselves better than us because of their last name, who know they are incompetent in politics, but do not have the courage to look themselves in the mirror and speak up and say: "I am not made for this. This political power is not mine. I am inheriting it, people did not really elect me. I don't want it, and they should elect someone else who is more qualified." People who don't want to cheat and steal, but who do not have the courage to put an end to the corruption and join in it in spite of themselves because of the political power they so easily gain by dispensing and promoting corruption and bad governance.

In the coming elections this June 7, Lebanese emigrants have been allowed for the first time ever to vote, on condition that they travel to Lebanon. We, the expats, have lived in countries where we know what it is to pick up a phone or log online and request politely a birth certificate and a couple of days later receive - politely and respectfully - the birth certificate for a small fee in the mail. No stamp-licking from the Ottoman era, no briberies, no bakshish, no as-kissing to Michel Murr or Amin Gemayel or Saad Hariri or Walid Jumblatt.... We know what it is to have one electricity shortage of 1 minute once every 5 years because of a storm...We know what it is to have garbage collectors do their job well... Or how easy it is to obtain a driver's license or a passport without the humiliations that our consulates and our embassies make us go through like the bureaucrats of Hariri and Gemayel do back in Lebanon....We know what it is to apply for a position in government decently, honestly, and anyone - literally anyone - who meets the criteria of qualification and competence gets the job.

This is the type of clean straight-forward government and country that we want. Where the government's job is to serve us and our obligation is to follow the rules and pay taxes for services.

Is this possible? It is. It's as simple as picking up the right name on the ballot at the voting booth, come next Spring 2009.

I will be voting for Walid Maalouf in the Shouf.

Hezbollah Funding Part 4: Pirated Films

The Lebanese Shiite terrorist organization Hezbollah funds itself primarily with direct aid from the Iranian regime. But over the years, Hezbollah has been caught funding itself through such illegal activities as smuggling cigarettes across state lines in the US, the diamond trade in Central and West Africa where there is a large Lebanese Shiite immigrant Diaspora, and now from a huge pirated film industry in South America based in the tri-border area straddling the countries of Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay.

According to a report by the Rand Corporation, Hezbollah receives $20 million annually from proceeds of pirated films in the tri-border area. The report, which was released Tuesday, said that organized crime is taking on a larger role in film piracy, and warned that the "terrorist connection" could be on the rise in the future.

It said that the tri-border area, which is "an important financing center for Islamic terrorism," channels $20 million annually to Hezbollah. At least one transfer of $3.5 million was made by known DVD pirate Assad Ahmad Barakat whom the U.S. government classified in 2004 as a "specially designated global terrorist".
