People of Egypt: Thank you for Showing the Way

The Egyptian people know the price one has to pay for genuine freedom.

When another dictator - a military one again - tried to steal their revolution and impose another 30 years of abject tyranny on them, they started a second revolution.

I salute you, great people of Egypt, because you are by far much much better than any of the other Arab peoples around you.

You are definitely better than the pathetic Lebanese who rebelled against Syria in 2005, but now that they are again ruled by pro-Syrian asshole politicians and former collaborators with the Syrian occupation, they just sit and watch their lives continue to be destroyed by feudals, terrorists, agents and mercenaries of religious orders and foreign countries.... and like sheep, they vote for these same people.

All of Lebanon's politicians - without exception - even those who claim to be anti-Syrian and pro-democracy today - all of them have at one time or another worked for Syria and worked for the feudal-religious system in order to stay in power and deny their people the true freedom that everyone deserves.

There are thousands of Lebanese prisoners in Syria's jails. But no one complains.
There were thousands of Lebanese prisoners in Israeli jails, and everyone keeps complaining even as all these prisoners have gone home and the ISraeli occupation has ended.

Syria violates Lebanese territory every day by sending troops, kidnapping people, and no one complains.
When Israel enters one inch into Lebanese territory to chase Hezbollah terrorists, everyone screams bloody hell.

All of Lebanon's politicians and Patriarchs and Muftis and all the political-religious scum that rule our lives want to preserve the status quo, because they maintain their hold on power and over our lives. They want to keep using Syria when it suits them, and rebelling aginst its intervention when it also suits them. They have no principles, they are only after power and money. They will work with anyone to stay in power and continue ruining our lives.

Nothing will change. Corruption will continue. Foreign intervention will continue. Wars will continue. Kidnappings will continue. Shortages of water and electricity will continue. Bad roads and infrastructure will continue. The rape of the environment and the stealing of public waterfront property will continue... Political inheritance will continue from father to son, as if we live in the Middle Ages...

Nothing will improve UNLESS we do what the people of Egypt are doing: LAUNCH A SECOND,a THIRD, and a FOURTH REVOLUTION until we get what we deserve: Honesty, respect, freedom, dignity, and a decent government that serves us and not them.

Haven't we had enough of the Hariris, the Aouns, the Gemayels, the Karamis, the Jumblatts, the Frangiyehs, the Salams, the Chamouns.... Haven't we had enough of their grandfathers, fathers, children and grandchildren?

Each one of us is so much better than them and their children and their grandchildren. We are all much more educated, less corrupt, and more deserving of a civilized decent life than their families living in their castles, lording it over us as if we were slaves and serfs to some primitive tribal lord... Don't you think we should finally move into the 21 century, and leave feudalism and religious crap behind us?

People of Egypt: We salute you because you are showing us the way, and what we need to do to end centuries of backwardness.
