To General Michel Aoun and President General Michel Sleiman,
One of you (Aoun) has a Memorandum of Understanding with Hezbollah, which stipulates the return, unharmed and free from any kangaroo court justice, of the thousands of Lebanese heroes who fought for the Lebanese identity of the South.
The other one (Sleiman) mentioned our heroes of the Lebanese south in his inaugural speech as the new President yesterday.
Both of you owe them because they are Lebanese first, then Shiites and Christians. You owe them because they started out as regular Lebanese Army units which were abandoned by the Lebanese government when it failed to oppose in Marjeyoun and elsewhere the attacks of the pro-Syrian Lebanese Army renegade deserter traitor Lieutenant Ahmad al-Khatib - under pressure and with money from Syria and the PLO.
Hassan Nasrallah, the Iranian agent and traitor who is now promoting his Hezbollah militia as a "resistance", has signed Aoun's Memorandum of Understanding to allow our refugees to return from Lebanon unharmed and with their full dignity. Because the Aoun people have had to compromise some of their deep-seated principles on this issue to please Hassan Nasrallah, they have yet to take the lead to get "payment" from Hezbollah for supporting it over the past 3 years. Such a payment ought to be the unconditional and free return of our people in the South from their Hezbollah-imposed exile in Israel.
And since the Iranian agent Hassan Nasrallah is negotiating with Israel for the release of Samir Kantar and other criminals who have innocent blood on their hands, why don't Aoun and Sleiman, at this (rare) moment of optimism and openness in the otherwise dark and miserable political reality in Lebanon, urge the refugees in Israel to return UNCONDITIONALLY to their homes and villages, including Guardians of the Cedars President Etienne Sacre "Abu Arz" from his own forced exile, protected by the Lebanese army and by Lebanese justice from any phony kangaroo Iranian and Syrian justice that Hassan Nasrallah wants to exact on them?
Why should the criminals - like Geagea and his ilk - be forgiven for the documented crimes he committed over the decades? Why should the mass murderers and genocidal types like Walid Jumblatt be forgiven? Why have all the war criminals of the Lebanese tragedy been forgiven their crimes and have rejoined the political pantheon of Lebanon? Why has Imad Mughniyah, the barbaric killer of teachers, priests, journalists and peacekeeping soldiers been made a hero? Why has the world turned upside down and created a special tribunal to find the killers of the former pro-Syrian collaborator Rafik Hariri? While thousands of ordinary Lebanese who were forced into exile by very exceptional life-and-death circumstances by those same killers and criminal politicians, have been condemned to live in exile and fear because all they did was to defend themselves, their homes and their freedom?
As long as there are unresolved basic rights issues such as the Lebanese refugees in Israel who are afraid of returning home because the Iranian regime does not want them to come home, Lebanon will not be at peace. This issue should be made the top priority of the new Sleiman presidency and the new prospective government - before the fucking International Hariri Tribunal. Is it more important to find justice for a dead man, than providing justice for thousands of living people?
It should be the next priority of Aoun's Change and Reform Party if it wants to substantiate its claims of having scored a victory for the Christians because the Lebanese refugeees in Israel used to be General Aoun's own supporters back when Hezbollah and Syria were his enemies. Enough propaganda, enough bullshit. The Lebanese people are smarter than their leaders think they are, but they are bigger cowards than they say because they do not stand up for their own causes - the cause of the ordinary Lebanese citizen. Instead, they fight and die like idiots behind leaders who don't give a damn about them and for causes other than their own. Hassan Nasrallah will burn Lebanon to protect Syria and Iran. So how far is General Michel Aoun willing to follow Nasrallah? And now, where will Michel Sleiman stand on the issues that are most important to the Lebanese people?
Will Sleiman be a lame duck president? Will he be enslaved by the corrupt political establishment? Or will he be the first Lebanese President to serve his people - genuinely - before serving any other party? Will he follow the example of Kemal Ataturk of Turkey by working to bring his country and his people into the modern world by standing up to the beards and the robes of the religious establishment, and to the tarabish and abbayas of the political establishment?
General Aoun and General Sleiman: Bring our people back from Israel unconditionally, unharmed and with their full dignity, as they are the true heroes of this new Lebanese independence.
